Seriously, if you have committed to working for SOS/Rovers, do your shifts through Friday/Saturday/Sunday. If you want to work extra shifts and hours (Like I love to do) then feel free...but don't leave us screwed certain days cause you decided you were done for the weekend.

Just something we have talked about...

aint that the truth i love working the extra shifts like on sunday all 17 hours i worked were awesome and got the most enjoyment out of it all but man i cant wait for the bouncers to be in full attack mode again looking forward to seing you soon.....oh and steve p.m. me soon

And yes, we appreciate your eager-ness to help us out. but you are about 10 months early, unless you WANT to work the next convention some of us are working at.

Random questions to you ladies though. Why or what is your interest in SoS/Rovers? Why the sudden interest in staff?

Well, I was wondering if people who are under the age of 18 can be staff since I am turning 16 this coming winter. I know I want to help out my favorite con!

I am interested because it seemed like it would be fun!

I really love this con so I am considering helping out the best I can at Fanime 09. My friends were staffing this year too. Other staffs were really friendly D:...
So I wanted to really help out Fanime next year. ^_^

being under 18 has ALOT of legal issues even if this is a "voluntary" basis and what not...

Also because of the 'nature' of the job dealing with safety issues and possible handling tense/potentially hazardous situations we CANT be mixing you 'younglings' into anything hostile.

heh. As if Fanime ISNT hostile in general.

I think something 'safer' such as Reg staff or general volunteers would also be a good place to start. As much as I'd hate to turn away new helper buddies in SOS we just have the follow the rules just like almost everyone else.

til then, just keep growing up.
