You can put me down for Brotherhood Ezio.  Is the gathering on Friday because not a lot of people are planned to show up?

I was able to get in right at 9 and had no problems and a lot of hotels still looked available.  Something to note though is don't go to the home page because the "reserve a hotel" button still doesn't go anything.  Make sure to click on the link in the reservation e mail that was sent to you and on the left side click reserve a hotel.

For those of you who already reserved were you able to select your dates?  I wanted to check in on Thursday, but the reservation automatically gave me the 27-30th.

That is one down.  Now lets just get that hotel reservation up so I can stop worrying about it lol.

I have never been to comic con either, but I tried getting tickets once and it was crazy.  Right at 8 am the site crashed and it was near impossible to get in and for some people that did get in the site would still keep crashing while trying to pay.  From what I hear it is always like that for comic con.  How long did it take for last years hotels to sell out?  I remember in Jan 2014 I didn't realize housing went up until around 7pm or so and by that time all 4 days in all the hotels except for the 4 points were full.

What exactly do you mean by direct link? You mean a link to the housing page?

Would you say it is as bad as comic cons site when trying to buy tickets?

I screwed up in for Fanime 2014 and 2015 and didn't realize when rooms went up for for Fanime 2011 and 2012 I was able to easily reserve a room the day housing went up without the site ever crashing.  Was the site crashing during housing registration for Fanime 2014? 

Believe it or not, you can reserve hotel rooms now for 2016. There's no special housing rate, but at least you have a reservation.

My friend and I tried that but they wanted $450 a night lol.

I plan on it, I learned my lesson from last year lol.

Does anymore know if this year Fanime will put up hotels in November like they did last year or is there a chance it could be at some other time?

My friend and I stayed at the 4 points by Sheraton: San Jose Airport.

You have to take a shuttle to and from the con which to me is a con, no pun intended lol.

• I also agree that peace bonding and cosplay repair should be in the same area.  I had to go back twice before getting my bow peace bonded and it does get kind of annoying

I can't think of anything else.  Like others have said this years con was run great.

Stay at either the Fairmont, Hilton, or Marriot for sure.  The last 2 years I have had to stay at another hotel and use a shuttle and it isn't fun.  When I used to stay at the Fairmont I could do so much more. 

Loose some more weight so I can do more cosplays.

Get more costumes so I can be in more gatherings. 

Try and have a girlfriend by next Fanime, but I'm being realistic lol.

Yes people do cosplay as Marvel and DC characters at fanime.  In the past I have cosplayed as Green Lantern, Superman, and Night Owl II and this year I will be Green Arrow.  There is also a DC gathering and a Marvel gathering.

If it doesn't cross over with the Assassin's Creed or DC gathering you can maybe put me down as pre time skip Luffy. 

For me there are a bunch of things that make me excited for Fanime.  There is cosplaying, gatherings, meeting other fans who like the same things, the dealers hall, and panels are what really draw me in.  Ever since my first Fanime every year has always been such a great 4 days of my life.  Speaking of food my friend and I last year stayed on the airport hotel and there is a 7-11 near by.  Every night after we got off the shuttle for the final time.I do miss staying at the fairmont since it is so close, but going to 7-11 has no become a Fanime tradition for us.  This upcoming fanime is also his second at last year was his first and first time I ever had a friend go with me.

How's everyone's cosplays coming along? Also just wanted to let everyone know that I submitted the gathering to be on the official gatherings list :)
