Best part of Fanime is actually going to Fanime.  I love the atmosphere and no amount of negatives will damper my enjoyment of hanging out with fellow nerds.

I was sitting down near the dealer's hall on Friday morning.  I was dressed as Kyoya from OHSHC playing cards when I heard a recognizable laugh.  It was a Renge cosplayer with her friend dressed as Princess Bubblegum.  I admit I was a bit sleepy and I couldn't go along with the act when she approached me in character.  I only regret I couldn't record the laugh.  Although it did make one heck of a story when my Mori came back from the restroom and asked why his bag was bright pink.  So, to that Renge, thank you for energizing my Friday morning.

Monday, 16th floor, Fairmont.  The elevator was constantly packed every time we tried to make a trip down, so my friends and I decided to take it up to the 20th floor, then back down.  On the way down, everyone in the elevator noticed how we were stopping at every floor and had to remind each floor that the elevator was full.  Around floor 15 someone started a round of "99 bottles of beer" and soon the entire elevator joined in.  When we finally hit the lobby, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, cheered, and gave the guy who started the song a high five.

The things that bothered me such as rain, mediocre merchandise and high prices for sale in the dealer's hall, the sheer number of attendees, etc are unavoidable and are not the faults of anyone on staff.  I wont complain about them, but just wanted to point that out because of all the complaining going on.  I had no problems with rovers either.  The only time something happened, it only took about less than a minute of explaining before it was all sorted out.

However, please bring back the mini schedules.  I can't count the number of times I went to the help desks because I didn't know when and where certain gatherings and panels were.

Not the greatest Fanime, but I still had a great deal of fun and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the con.

Just contacted family in Tokyo, Osaka, and Korea.  They say they're fine, but the coasts got hit hard.  There is also a flood warning for San Francisco at 8:15.

I'm going to try to finish my costume, but it's a bit difficult tracking down everything I need.  Anyways, my 2 friends and I are going to try to go as Cilan, Chili, and Cress.

You guys have a Blue Beetle, but no Booster Gold?  :o

Westboro Baptist is going to be at Gunderson High school to protest a play on March 4, 2011.

I wonder how they pay for all these travel expenses.
