Hello there i am Ramen, co head for sac anime gameroom. I will be gameroom staff this year for fanime. I will bring DOA4 and if theres enough requests for it i will hold a tourny. Another thing is who gives a crap who perfect legend is or what he says. He has his own opinion which doesnt effect everything. If people enjoy it then let them. DOA4 has a unique style which is deep to a certain extent. Although not as deep as other fighting games its still fun for certain people.  As gameroom staff we are here to keep the fans happy and thats all, not sit and talk about a game being bad. So screw the debate it will bring it.

That, honestly, is rather weak then. There would be no strategy or actual involvement if the game is basically to tap someone on the shoulder.

The target shouldn't be something so... well... lame. Chest, neck, and frontmost sides/stomach. Throw a little bit of dexterity in, yeah?

Well you have to think about 1. Fanimes rules and 2. Peoples personal space. I think it would be challenging to have to sneak up behind someone without being seen and place the postit on there shoulder. Everyones going to be on there toes so you have to plan your attack and be hidden because we're all going to see each other before the game. Also if someone came up from behind me and tried to put something on my neck without me being alert they'd loose some teeth and probably there arm. So I think the current rule set is fine.

I think we need to come up with a time and place to meet. So we can start the mayhem and general awesomeness.

Alright well I am doing homework and stuff right now (finals) so I will have something fully planned out by Monday.

If you want to play, I'll start a sign up sheet on this post so just post your name after mine and we'll have a meet up before the game and possibly a wrap up.

Woooo! I say we stick with that rule set. I say if we have a lot of people then we split up into squads. Like for example im in a group of roughly 8 people who are willing to play. We're not going to wanna split up since for some its there first con. So they may want a buddy.

The ramen will be on XBL starting around 10:30 - 11:30 untill 1 am or so. If you wanna play add me Ramen F4m0us (0 = #zero )

Yeah, I'm pretty much by myself.  Though, My GF's coming up from Where she lives in CA for the Con, so I'll be hanging with her for Some of the con at least

Well HE may be screwed but there are more people who want this game in. Is there anyway we can find out why this was decided?

Because it's an M rated game.

I don't know the exact laws and bindings about it, but playing it safe... By allowing an M rated game in a public tournament, they can be breaking limitation laws. It's like... playing a rated R movie publically. It's not allowed without carding everyone there. This would cause more problems than it's worth.

I think what's ment here is why was this decision made? As in was it the con? Was it parents? Or did someone just wake up and say no m rated games! I would like a better explaination.

There's sac anime that happens every 3 months or so. I work staff for the gameroom and we have get togethers everynow and then just depends on what you play and if your a kool guy.

I don't know how to play most of those games "well" on the Otaku tournament thing but I want to play Halo.

If its due to con regulations then I can understand but if not then it think it needs to be reconsidered. I would say have the M tournaments after hours at 10pm or later and have it 18+(id with sighn up) if that's the case.

That's really bad. I was looking foward to the halo 3 tournament too. love the late notice...
