I was actually contemplating whether or not to host one again, after last year's disaster. I know Dragon Ninja is interested in one, though; not sure if I'll be in, hard to say if I want to deal with some YGO cosplayers again.

There were some... uncooperative attendees. Let's just say that. I was leaning towards hosting it again in spite of that, but I guess you beat me to it. I'll do what I can to help, though; here's some pointers to avoid a repeat of my problems:
- Bring a megaphone. It commands attention.
- Whatever you do, do not lose your voice the day before the gathering like I did.
- If some members are being uncooperative, screw 'em. Don't pay them any heed, just continue on with the gathering in spite of them. Don't let them ruin it for you.
There's a chance I might be making a Saiga or Kiryu costume in the future, both from 5D's (Team Satisfaction version Kiryu). I'll keep you updated.

Y'know what, that would be nice. I'll try to get either costume completed, and if I can't, then the hell with what those jerks last year said, I still like my Manjoume costume. Working together on this gathering would be real good.

Well, whether I do Kiryu or Saiga comes down to two things: which vest I can find first, and whether or not I can find a wig for Kiryu. Saiga's boots and hat will be only a little tricky to find, if not expensive, but the vests will be tricky to find for either of them. I'm gonna search through a ton of thrift stores when I get the chance, although that probably won't be until winter break.

We still need to decide on a day and time for this... might be best to wait until we get more people, though, so we can find a day most are available for. Last year I hosted it on Friday, and I've only got one gathering then (around 5 or 6), so that's what I'd suggest, at least.

Hey! I cosplay Aki Izayoi, and I wanna get it on this.
Saturday sounds like the best day if some of us know people who can only make Saturday. That was sorta the case last time (a Sho-kun, Tyranno Kenzan, and a Mokuba missed the meet cause of that), and now it seems that Slifer knows some people who can only make it Saturday.
Also, we should make sure it doesn't interfere with Yugioh TCG tournament times.

Last year, I held it on Friday because it would clash with the gatherings I had on Saturday and Sunday. It's the same for us this time as well, since myself, Shinigami_Lover, and Dragon Ninja all have other gatherings on the weekend to get to. I'm hoping, though, that by making it at a later time in the day, we can at least get a few more people. If more people can go on Saturday, though, then more power to you; just less likely that I can make it.
Yeah, I don't want the gathering to clash with others that I'm apart of.
Also we can make the meet-up go a little longer then usual but I think people would miss people but I am willing to try to make it work...

I thought of an interesting way to duel with cosplayers. Cosplayers with decks in the there duel disks (hopefully character themed) can duel by claiming to cast the souls of there monsters into the bodies of Yugioh cosplayers during battle.
For instance, Aki summons Tytanial, Princess of Camellias and claims Anzu as her monsters body, to attack Yusei's Speed Warrior, who he defends by calling the body of Jack Atlas. Anzu and Jack have a mock fight briefly where the one whos corresponding monster has the highest attack wins as usual.
Get it? It solves the problem of dueling in public without monsters to fight with and makes for a thematic shadow game that involves even the cosplayers who aren't dueling.

If you're talking about actual Yugioh cards, sadly, there is no Orgoth the Relentless. Dunno about DDM, though. Fortunately for me, I already have a ton of character decks for... most characters. I've had my Manjoume one for ages, I'm working on a Kiryu one, and when I get the Machiner structure deck, I can use that for a Saiga one.
Oh there is no card... pooy! I know in DDM there is... I have Yugi, Joey, and Seto... My Joey is the best one

T.T We won't be arriving till Saturday, but my friend and I usually go as Joey and Bakura/Ryou
So, I'm thinking we should do the Cosplay Duel idea. In it, we play by the offical rules of the game, but we make a special amendment to allow duelists who have limited and/or forbidden cards in their decks to be used and we build a deck with 40-60 cards.

So, I've currently been unable to find anything for a Saiga or Kiryu cosplay, although there's still time; I'll keep looking for a vest for Saiga. At the moment, though, looks like I'll be sticking with my Manjoume costume, in spite of not having a wig or anything close to the right hairstyle.
And I'm all good for the Cosplay Duel. I've also got plenty of character decks for various characters, in case anyone needs to borrow one for their character.
Okay, I'll remind everybody about the cosplay Duel. Again, I'm the Aki Izayoi with the Yusei Duel Disk, so you recognize me ^^

I was just stopping by to invite all the Yu~gi~oh! cospeeps to come and join in the Jump fun planned for Sunday! To start with there is the Shonen Jump Cosplay Checkers games for all you Yugioh cosplayers to join in just check out the thread for the info. The first game starts at 9:30 am and there will be at least 3 Jump related before I open it up to any cospeeps.
The Jump gathering is Sunday @ 3 pm so come out and represent Yu~gi~oh! in fine fashion with the rest of the Jump cospeeps! I have the most titles being represented this year (17) and I hope to have a great showing! Love to have you join us just post in the thread the character and title and I will add you!

I am unsure if I am going to bring Duke next year... I might retire him after Kumoricon.... But I might bring him along for the photoshoot
