You'll be fine; no one is going to try really hard to get some tang on the street. Besides, there are a ton of con goers out at that time, and I bet a couple of white knights as well so you'll always have someone have your back.

@Cloud - Yes, there is a good chance that you can get turned away.  We tried an appeals process last year at the door and it was a nightmare to keep consistent.  This year we are streamlining the checks for the monitors and doing straight gos/no gos.

@Andy - formal Terry Bogard - Red dress vest, white long sleeved dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, blue dress slacks and red dress shoes.  The red ball cap can then be worn.  You can try the red sneakers, but red dress shoes will definitely get you in the door.

formal baseball player - Cap, long sleeved dress shirt with team logos, striped/solid dress pants depending on the color scheme of the uniform, dress shoes in the color.

Would an Oakland Athletics Tie count as a team logo? Everything else is good, I can coordinate the color scheme just fine.

Boots are no go unless they're part of a cosplay, sorry. :(   If they are, bring a picture of the character being cosplayed so it'll make it easier to usher you guys in.

Baseball caps are no go either unless you're pulling off a formal Terry Bogard or sports cosplay.

How would a formal Terry Bogard cosplay look like? A sports cosplay?

The event wont be until Sunday and there will be two wig sellers at the convention as well as gothic lolita vendors. Someone should have something to help you. If they made an exception for you I'd be unfair to others.

Other people didn't get a terrible haircut though lol. Hopefully I'll be able to wear a cap, since I don't particularly want to pay a lot for a wig I'll use one time. Thanks for the input however, I appreciate it.

Recently got a terrible haircut. Any chance I wear a cap to the event, everything else formal?
I doubt a cap like a baseball cap would be allowed. Look for a top hat or bowler hat. If it goes with a cosplay probably a fancy, not cheap fabric newspaper boy hat.

No wig?

It's a terrible haircut. I don't have any bowler hats or top hats, just New Eras =\. Maybe it can be an exception? Wig is out of the question lol.

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Fanime 2012 Roommate thread

Need a room:
+ Introduction: My name is Andy, you can find me on Facebook by searching Andres Rojas. I'm pretty laid back, don't mind anything, just want a bed/floor to sleep on and a shower to bathe this Fanime. This will be my 5th Fanime, and this time around I want to do it with random roomies because at SacAnime that was a blast.
+ Hotel Information: Thursday-Monday, so 4 nights. Fairmont, Hilton or Marriot.
+ Requirements: None, just be awesome, but most of you are anyway lol.
+ Contact: [email protected] or facebook.
+ Miscellaneous: Nothing else.

Yeah bring all types of card. If this is your first Fanime you probably won't be sitting down and playing games to be honest, more like walking around and mingling with people. Be sure to have a nice sum of money prior to fanime, the urge to buy things will arise.

Creepers? Maybe more, dunno to be honest. I don't bug them and they don't bug me.

I'm mad as well. This is my third Fanime and it feels like I did anything but Fanime this year. All I did was play magic and hustled money off room space I had. Oh well, it was the best Fanime I've had so far due to other reasons, but still, it went by super fast. I'm going to go to other cons and have lots of fun there, and also start reading more manga now since I haven't been doing that in a while. Overall, next year, it's going to be even more popping.

P.S: For all that have nothing to look forward to, FIFA World Cup 2010! Mexico all the way in this one!

Need 4 marsh flats, 3 arid mesas and 4 scalding tarns + 4 goblin guides. Also need some random frog commons. Message me or reply back to this if you have any of that. Trades + cash. Thanks.
#16
Standard street price for them by themselves would be 10. All 11 of the fetch lands I can do for 7-8 dollars each. The goblins 3.50 each. I also have some fetchlands and cards I don't need that I am trading before buying. Send me a pm.

Didn't get in lll. Goodluck to those that did.

If it's standard I'll play, it not then I cbf because of all the traditional decks out there that will wreck my standard. Also, are the two qualifiers the same thing but on a different day?

I need to buy 4 marsh flats, 3 arid mesas and 4 scalding tarns, as well as 3 goblin guides and some oblivion rings/paths. I can do a combination of cash + cards. Got any of that?

I'll be attending, hoping I can snag some good purchases here and there at the event.
