You'll be fine; no one is going to try really hard to get some tang on the street. Besides, there are a ton of con goers out at that time, and I bet a couple of white knights as well so you'll always have someone have your back.

@Cloud - Yes, there is a good chance that you can get turned away. We tried an appeals process last year at the door and it was a nightmare to keep consistent. This year we are streamlining the checks for the monitors and doing straight gos/no gos.
@Andy - formal Terry Bogard - Red dress vest, white long sleeved dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, blue dress slacks and red dress shoes. The red ball cap can then be worn. You can try the red sneakers, but red dress shoes will definitely get you in the door.
formal baseball player - Cap, long sleeved dress shirt with team logos, striped/solid dress pants depending on the color scheme of the uniform, dress shoes in the color.

Boots are no go unless they're part of a cosplay, sorry. :( If they are, bring a picture of the character being cosplayed so it'll make it easier to usher you guys in.
Baseball caps are no go either unless you're pulling off a formal Terry Bogard or sports cosplay.

The event wont be until Sunday and there will be two wig sellers at the convention as well as gothic lolita vendors. Someone should have something to help you. If they made an exception for you I'd be unfair to others.

Recently got a terrible haircut. Any chance I wear a cap to the event, everything else formal?
No wig?
