Any updates on where the video rooms will be this year and how many. Hope they are back at SJCC like before Covid.

sorry we are saddly back at the double tree. its going to be a bare bone program. we here in video tried everything we could to bring it back to the convention center but to no avail.

Thank you much, hopefully the shuttles are more frequent as in some past years when it wasn't as much of an issue getting over there.

That sucks...
Is there a trend among anime conventions, Fanime included, to deemphasize anime in favor of other activities--cosplay, gaming, panels, special guests, dealers--that can only occur at a con? Years ago, when I started going to cons, they were the only way you could see anime, but now, it's widely available to stream or download, so it looks like at least some cons are phasing it out or way down.
Even though it's easy to watch anime outside of con, it's not so easy to find a calm, stress-free, air-conditioned place for an introvert to recharge at Fanime, the video rooms serve that need really well, and taking a shuttle to get to them kinda ruins it for that purpose :(.
