Stress out trying to finish costumes. I have one that I've barely started on! >.< I also start writing down a packing list of everything that I will need, so I don't forget anything.

well for me i'm done with my sailor mars cosplay and i'm almost done with my burst angel sei cosplay.
My girlfriend on the other hand has her nosie angel sanctuary cosplay done as well as her meg burst angel cosplay. But she has a few things that she has to finish on that. But she has barely begun starting her sailor neptune cosplay.
And then she needs to talk to her parents about hotel money. Since I won't be able to help out cause I won't have a lot of money to begin with. And a friend is helping her. So hopefully she will talk to her parents soon.

...the longer the days leading up to Fanime seem. Seriously, this week already seems long and it's only Monday.
I'm kicking myself becuase I decided to make some random armor and jetpack. To match an outift that has nothing to do with anime or cosplay. O_o Yet I am still feeling pressure to get it all done.

I forgot my birthday was coming up!
I've no time to be worried about Fanime, really, even though I am.
I've got finals coming up, just finished writing 2 papers, still have one more to write.....in japanese even!! Immediately after finals i've gotta clean out the club office(cuz we were evicted), I've got my B-day party, and two days later it's off to Fanime. And somewhere within all of this, I've got to learn some karaoke songs(usually done in the car), and finish my cosplay costumes(done as cheaply as possible).
But until finals are over, I can't even think about prepping for Fanime.......
I've got stuff myself to do as well. But the excitement for Fanime is what keeps me going to keep on working! :D
On a side note, we have another sign of Fanime drawing closer: the lightpost banners are up again in downtown. Saw them this morning as I was passing through running errands.

Mostly, I start to get super excited. Con is generally the most fun I have all year. I don't get out much. What can I say? I get to hang out with my friends ( and this year, my nephew) and just be a complete dumbass for four days. Job? What Job (or lack thereof)? Crushing debt? Meh. Unemployment benefits run out in two months? Who cares? All my drama takes a back seat to fun and mind-altering insomnia. Awesome. For four days, I get to forget I'm not a kid anymore.
... the more I get annoyed by every damned little roadblock in the way of my cosplay completion. Miserable heat, fire, slicing holes in my fingers, miscellaneous aches and pains, familial obligations ... things like work and sleep ...
(I joked that the worst part about the fire this past week was having to pack up all my cosplay stuff Just In Case. It wasn't the worst, but it was pretty high up there.)

I want this week done with. My vacation officially starts after this Friday. I haven't had any time off work since last September when I went to Yaoi-Con. I am SO ready for Fanime week.
I've got stuff to do on my cosplay, as everyone, but luckily I'm remaking something from last year, so I've got the patterns and the techniques down. Doesn't deter from the fact that it needs to get done *head desk*
I'm also growing incredibly anxious to see my roomie who's coming up from southern Cali, which is one of the biggest reasons I'm attending Fanime. I can't wait!
We are now in the single digits kids!
Now I need to get food stuffs to take to my room!
The closer fanime gets the more i actually notice how actually close it is. I couldn't help but notice the expiration date on my milk carton this morning was May 22nd.

I just finished shopping for food for my room, I got my room taken care of for my stay. Tomorrow I need to go back to the hardware store to get different screws for my RX-78-2 Gundam horns, touch up my mask a bit, replace the logo with a new fresh one. Then BOOM I'm Fanime-ready.
The more I wish I could use the car to drive all the way down...preferably without an explosion.
i'm looking up Bart routes and Amtrak routes now. @_@ just in case.
Wow, seems like everyone for some reason is fearing that there car will blow up on them before getting to Fanime. I usually just take light rail to Fanime and just walk to the convention center. Pretty cheap and simple.

Mine did last time. The radiator hose had a leak and when it burst, the wiring sparked fire. This was 2007, and I was at the fanime forum gathering talking about it. lol So I have good reason to fear for my car...which isn't a cheap replaceable car @_@
I usually try to carpool, as it's a little cheaper then light rail and things like that...but eh.

Crap. Yeah, I would have not I don't personally know many people drivin down there so I'll probably hit of light rail. ALTHOUGH, if I did have a car, I would do the carpool think and just make people put in on gas.
