A cheap Lolita skirt.

Yes, the official Kryolan store is in SF. Check their website, because I think you need to make an appointment or something. They are super helpful, and they let you try all the makeup. :)

Yes, I think it was me ^^

Kryolan makes the best theatrical makeup, in many different shades and colors, so you can get exactly what you want. Also, their prices are very fair for the quality and amount of product you get. I've found Kryolan at their stores, department stores, costume shops, dance shops, etc. You just have to call around and see. :)

Also, I vote for Saturday!

BSaphire posted a new sticky about the new location - an patio on the Marriot side. Does anyone have an photos of what this place looks like?

Will the St Claire be large enough for all of us? Everyone and their dog cosplays Kuro....

I would like to see some affordable and inexpensive Lolita wear. Those dresses are really not worth $300-$400 a pop. I know that Bodyline and Cosmates has some good prices. I know many girls that would love to buy Lolita fashion is it was only cheaper.

Hey there! Actually, I'm retiring my Integra, but I still want to cosplay from Hellsing, so I will probably be there as Dark Walter. Maybe Young Walter. Maybe a combination of both. Not sure yet. :)

Thanks! I love playing Tutu. ^^

I'll be there again as Swan Lake!Tutu.

Why not post fliers around local recreation centers and high schools? You might attract some new otakus who need friends!

I have some pictures of the Fairmont gathering on my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/emma_lorien/sets/72157618824073538/ I don't have all of them up yet, since I used up my monthly limit.

As for location of the tea party, here's my personal input - I think that a quieter, less noisy location is preferable. People have the chance to actually talk and get to know one another without flash bulbs going off all the time, and without the constant noise that pervades almost every inch of Fanime. The Saint Claire would be perfect (not pure Victorian, but it suffices), but I think someone should call ahead and make sure that our gathering would be allowed, since I think it's a small hotel.
Having it in the evening/late afternoon does sound pretty nice, and there are some nooks on the far ends of the convention hall that would work.

Dealer's hall was a lot of fun, but I only bought three Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler figures and a pencil board. I didn't see too much that I really wanted.
I really enjoyed the doll booth (even if it was pretty expensive), and the booth that sold the anime licensed jewelry and accessories, along with the lolita booths.

I would love to see:
~More male figures, like I said before in a previous post before the con. I need my bishi fix!
~Other cute Japanese items - not necessarily anime related. I love the miniature sets that come in the fortune boxes and anything cutesy! Like http://www.re-mentusa.com/index.php, the Re-Ment miniatures. They can be quite collectible!
~More practical items? Office/school accessories, etc.
~Art supplies - Sakura, Copic, Niko-Piko etc.

Thank you. I absolutely love dance (I do ballet), but as a cosplayer I found myself with rather little time to attend the lessons, since most of my outfits would not be suitable for the lessons, and getting in and out of cosplays takes a huge amount of time, since I have to restyle wigs and do makeup. I guess I'll just have to try harder to get some time to attend them next year.

A question - can a few dance lessons be held in the evenings at Fanime? I found myself not having any time to make it to the lessons, since I was caught up in cosplay business. However, I had a lot of time to kill in the evenings, and I noticed many other people did too. I know it may not be convenient for instructors, but how about a few lessons available for the night owls?

You are too far for me to go. :( I'm in Marin.

I'll be back as Sebastian!

I'll be there as some sort of Integra. XD

I'll probably show up next year as young Integra or a variant of battle Integra....
