Anyone have any idea who the Asian guy with the brown hair was? Him and his buddies kept camping the Third Strike arcade for new people, it was pretty funny. We wanted to play them on PS2 but not one single person brought it.

That's my good friend Geoff and I think he entered the tournament which, correct me if I'm wrong, was on PS2.

It's kind of sad though, that the best player there was a girl that knew how to use a decent majority of the cast. She's there every year. A few decent players, but I find it disheartening when I'm still getting 20+ streaks when I've played once in the past 8 months.

Indeed that's my girl Lex, we generally play 3S and CvS2.

Are you referring to Lexus from SJSU?
She's the only girl I know who can play 3s decently.

We all came together and spent a majority of our time in the Arcade, especially on 3S (Myself/Akuma/Random, Lex/Ryu/Random and Geoff/Ken/Chun), see ya next year  ;).

Im not so much concerned with "New" manga becoming anime but rather any good manga with mass appeal becoming an anime. My personal request would be for Pastel and Gacha Gacha.

I generally eat cheap at Jack's or PMH, its just the crazy crack heads and thugs on a Friday and Saturday night looking to holler at any and all females in the vicinity that bother me.

As long as it's not loud enough to bother anyone I don't see a problem with it but as for myself, I'm not a huge fan of loud midis.

If you havent already found it, make your way to the Cosplay Forum, the folks over there should be able to point you in the right direction.

Next time have a plan, and if u are going to wait for 5+ hours bring something to entertain yourself and please dont cause a mob mentality by rubbing off negative vibes just because you cant control the situation.

Could'nt have said it better myself, a little bit of planning goes a long way. Remember this year, pre-reg is your friend and if you were unable to pre-reg, early reg or showing up to line as early as possible are good alternatives. Also, if you live in the area you could always volunteer or become staff in order to help with the registration issue, this is a convention by the fans for the fans so every little bit helps.

Also, this topic may have been better suited for the "Registration" forum.

I'll be wearing Yuya's white/pink girly dress(it's sounds so wrong to my brain lol) that I've been slacking on from Samurai Deeper Kyo XD and a couple of friends of mine will be there as DMC4 Dante and Princess Serenity, but I keep forgetting what Lisu is going as lol oh and Vasher will hopefully be stopping by before the parade starts =3 ah so nice to meet up with everyone, good times ^.^ <3

I'm not staff, but I do have something to say about Arcade Tournaments....

Whenever I've hung out in the gaming room, the lines for the machines have always been too long for me, basically, I don't want to have to stand around for 5-10 minutes (Probably longer for DDR) to play a game. If you added in Tourneys on TOP of that, yeah.... No way people like me would ever stand a chance to play the games. I DO understand why it would be fun the have the tourney, but I'm not sure it's really a feasible idea without getting people upset.

But remember, that's just MY take on it.

Co-sign. The fact that they put ANY tournament out for those who wish to participate is appreciated by competitors but I don't want to wait any longer than I have to in order to play the games I regularly frequent along with tournament play on the arcade cabinets, therefore keeping tournaments console based is something I appreciate.

True but sometimes it's fun just to get the general practice from random newcomers, even if it is just basic practice. However, never say never, maybe this year you'll get lucky.

That link only applies to the BW Ball whereareas there is no specific dress code for the actual and general Dance.

LOL.  There is a vendor who was there that has been at both AX and SDCC that post a photo of  "Sasuke" with a warning that shoplifters will be prosecuted.  ;D

I think i've seen that vendor, he also has a big tac board where he pins the badges of people he's caught and have had thrown out of the convention.

As for Sasuke, fool got tossed for shoplifting and if you were there like myself, you got to gawk in awe and say "You dont see that everyday." Thats it, end of story.

People wear just about everything there is to wear when it comes to this event each year from Cosplay to a t-shirt and jeans. My advice to you is to wear something comfortable and that you can move in.

Mister_E.  BE A MAN!! You don't need no stinkin sign nor panel just to find someone to dance wit!  I can help you regarding that!  You're talking to a guy who danced wit more than a dozen partners!  I also taking a ballroom dancing class!

As long as the person fits around your age.

There isnt any dress code however I wouldnt wear anything that would prevent anyone from being able to dance, i.e. extremely large cosplay or sharp objects (Id say this is common sense but common sense isnt so common).

One more thing, if youre not already aware, internet costs vary by hotel:

Hilton: $10/Day

Marriott: $13/Day

Crown Plaza: $10/Day

Fairmont: $14/Day

However thats a fairly ingenious idea with the wireless router but most already offer wifi capabilities.
