It would be nice if they had some competitive gaming accessories, such as <shameless plug>Electric Trouble Joysticks.</shameless Plug>

Anyone have any idea who the Asian guy with the brown hair was? Him and his buddies kept camping the Third Strike arcade for new people, it was pretty funny. We wanted to play them on PS2 but not one single person brought it.

Quote from: PyronIkariIt's kind of sad though, that the best player there was a girl that knew how to use a decent majority of the cast. She's there every year. A few decent players, but I find it disheartening when I'm still getting 20+ streaks when I've played once in the past 8 months.Indeed that's my girl Lex, we generally play 3S and CvS2.
Quote from: JTchinoyAre you referring to Lexus from SJSU?Ex-SJSU Student, she graduated recently, hooray ;D.
She's the only girl I know who can play 3s decently.
Quote from: Keys on May 21, 2008, 09:40:13 AMThis is true, WW specializes in popular anime based novelty items and their featured character "Beer-chan."
Sadly I've never seen Wizzywig carry wigs. (Counterintuitive in this thread, no? :) )
Quote from: Jerry on April 21, 2008, 08:04:36 AMCould'nt have said it better myself, a little bit of planning goes a long way. Remember this year, pre-reg is your friend and if you were unable to pre-reg, early reg or showing up to line as early as possible are good alternatives. Also, if you live in the area you could always volunteer or become staff in order to help with the registration issue, this is a convention by the fans for the fans so every little bit helps.
Next time have a plan, and if u are going to wait for 5+ hours bring something to entertain yourself and please dont cause a mob mentality by rubbing off negative vibes just because you cant control the situation.
like most people say lately :
Fanime is a privalege; NOT a right. there's a difference. :)
Quote from: OniCourseMusha on April 06, 2008, 01:52:30 PMCraig, are you going to be there Saturday? Its Joe's Bday and were probably going to be there both days but Saturday for sure.Quote from: Black Kawaii Kitty on April 06, 2008, 02:03:52 AMU were pretty occupied during wondercon but thats must be worth it! I guess this might be the best time we all get together perhaps?Quote from: Shinsengumi on April 05, 2008, 12:38:55 PM
I might bring my Shinsengumi outfit since I've never wore it the Cherry Blossom but I'm not sure yet.
yay so you're going for sure now? Haven't seen you guys in ages DX
I'll be wearing Yuya's white/pink girly dress(it's sounds so wrong to my brain lol) that I've been slacking on from Samurai Deeper Kyo XD and a couple of friends of mine will be there as DMC4 Dante and Princess Serenity, but I keep forgetting what Lisu is going as lol oh and Vasher will hopefully be stopping by before the parade starts =3 ah so nice to meet up with everyone, good times ^.^ <3
Quote from: Xeluu on April 13, 2008, 08:34:31 PMCo-sign. The fact that they put ANY tournament out for those who wish to participate is appreciated by competitors but I don't want to wait any longer than I have to in order to play the games I regularly frequent along with tournament play on the arcade cabinets, therefore keeping tournaments console based is something I appreciate.
I'm not staff, but I do have something to say about Arcade Tournaments....
Whenever I've hung out in the gaming room, the lines for the machines have always been too long for me, basically, I don't want to have to stand around for 5-10 minutes (Probably longer for DDR) to play a game. If you added in Tourneys on TOP of that, yeah.... No way people like me would ever stand a chance to play the games. I DO understand why it would be fun the have the tourney, but I'm not sure it's really a feasible idea without getting people upset.
But remember, that's just MY take on it.
Quote from: JTchinoy on April 13, 2008, 11:50:39 PMTrue but sometimes it's fun just to get the general practice from random newcomers, even if it is just basic practice. However, never say never, maybe this year you'll get lucky.
There's never a line for tekken. :)
Quote from: Rei-Rei on April 06, 2008, 04:40:02 PMThat link only applies to the BW Ball whereareas there is no specific dress code for the actual and general Dance.Quote from: fragiledreamer on March 22, 2008, 04:37:38 PMhttp://www.fanime.com/events/black-and-white-ball
So there isn't a dress code like the BW Ball, but what ARE people wearing? First Fanime *points to self* I dont want to look a fool xDD.
Quote from: G.I.R on March 26, 2008, 02:38:24 PMI think i've seen that vendor, he also has a big tac board where he pins the badges of people he's caught and have had thrown out of the convention.
LOL. There is a vendor who was there that has been at both AX and SDCC that post a photo of "Sasuke" with a warning that shoplifters will be prosecuted. ;D
Quote from: fragiledreamer on March 22, 2008, 04:37:38 PMPeople wear just about everything there is to wear when it comes to this event each year from Cosplay to a t-shirt and jeans. My advice to you is to wear something comfortable and that you can move in.

Quote from: OniCourseMusha on March 20, 2008, 01:31:18 PMCraig is the Man, believe the hype.
Mister_E. BE A MAN!! You don't need no stinkin sign nor panel just to find someone to dance wit! I can help you regarding that! You're talking to a guy who danced wit more than a dozen partners! I also taking a ballroom dancing class!
As long as the person fits around your age.
Quote from: redroses3164 on February 28, 2008, 03:49:29 PMHaha. Old jokes die hard.
1. After school, go to Fanime
2. Go to cosplay gatherings
3. Go to random other stuff
4. ???
5. PROFIT!
I never have a schedule. I just go where I go and do what I do... it's all the spur of the moment kinda thing.
Quote from: ruby19_4 on February 19, 2008, 10:45:57 AMThere isnt any dress code however I wouldnt wear anything that would prevent anyone from being able to dance, i.e. extremely large cosplay or sharp objects (Id say this is common sense but common sense isnt so common).
