yay, possibly another Renji besides myself XD and i've never seen a Mayuri cosplay before - that should be cool to see if you do that one ^^

An update on MY cosplay, it shoudl all be ready and stuff in abour two weeks.

btw i shoudl be picking up some prop katanas soon. I can eaither get plastic ones with a sheath, or wooden ones without a sheath. any opinions?

or should I just say what the hell, go get some plywood and make the released versions of the swords?

ok i have a question about the sword im going to be using. I'm cosplaying as Renji from Bleach and my sword is going to be in its shikai form. if you havent seen the anime, it basically has these spike looking things coming out from one side of the blade. my sword is made entirely out of wood, and the "spikes" are blunt and sanded down so they won't hurt anybody. is this still acceptable for peacebonding, since i wont be able to sheath it?

It should be, but check with the rovers @ the convention.

oh and since this is the Bleach cosplay thread, i think this little bit of news is quite relevent: I don't know if you guys already know, but apparently Bleach has now been licensed by Viz Media and will be airing on Adult Swim this coming fall. I can't imagine any of the characters speaking english, and i fear it might head down the same path as Naruto and sell out to Hot Topic T_T

i was actually considering cosplaying as my Gaia avy, but im so busy working on my other 2 cosplays (Kakashi - Naruto and Renji - Bleach) that i don't think i'd have time to make a third cosplay. but i might cosplay as my avy for a future Fanime ^^

oo a shonen jump gathering sounds like a great idea. i'll be cosplaying that day as Kakashi for the Naruto gathering that day, so if i come to this gathering (which i think i might) i'll be going as Kakashi ^^
