that diploma you got will mean nothing if you don't get a job and pay off your student loans.

You have your hobby on your side! Number one help for learning Japanese, in my opinion, is having an ear and eye for it. Continuously surround yourself with practice. Try watching anime subtitled (see how much you can pick up on just by doing that), and learn your hiragana and katakana. Write out post its and label everything you can think of that you will come across in the day. Eventually you will make the connection with items and the labels. Get a buddy to practice with/learn with as well.

Sorry I just like encouraging this. To be honest I've lost most of my Japanese but that's because I didn't continue to do those things i mentioned.

Okay so I met a very nice gentleman after the panel with Ric Meyers and Karen Dyer. He was a member of staff and was Karen's escort. I was with Ric and we got to talking (with Karen) about relationships and stuff afterwards. Whoever you are, you gave me some very awesome advice and I just wanted to say hi, and thank you :)

I would say the Dr. Who was a pleasant surprise (my very last picture from Fanime was with him :P ). The Sailor Moon cosplayers are always awesome....but this year was a bit of nostalgia for me. Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, and Duo and Heero from Gundam Wing cosplayers.

I think this is actually a big deal. A friend of mine had an incident this year that is the perfect example of why real names should not be so large. While it makes it easier for staff and rovers to identify you..it also makes it easier for others. For instance, an individual who has regularly attended cons as my friend and has managed to come very close to stalking. Whether we report him to the rovers/staff matters little if he can figure out her real name by looking at her badge (and thus find her on social networking sites.) It's the same with children. Sometimes it can cause more trouble than prevent.

Johnny Yong Bosch would be amazing..seriously...

You guys do realize that the point of this thread is for "KINDS" of guests, not "WHICH GUEST DO YOU WANT" right? That thread is the other thread, this thread is for general types of guests.

"American Voice Actors"

"JP artists"

"Local celebrities and youtube type guests"

:) You're not very nice. thank you for singling out my post in particular.

I would like to see more American or Canadian voice actors.

Johnny Yong Bosch would be amazing..seriously...

This con was very fun overall...I'm pretty sure only a few people will get this but....

"You're AWESOME -double thumbs up-"
"Yeah, don't you know who he is?!" :P that was a favorite. one person took us seriously. what a riot.

I really enjoyed the Dating panel with Ric and Karen. as well as Iron Fanime. Iron Fanime had some spots but overall it was hilarious ( I was at another event during Whose Line...)  "SPPPOOOOOOON"

I should be returning as Kagura :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! :) That's why we make them ... so people can enjoy them.

That wasn't the entire clip of the Kagura's chasing the Kyo's (as far as I can remember). I'll see if my group is up for posting the raw video on YouTube later on.

Yeah I remember more to the video. I recall chasing the Kyos for a while. :P It's close to all of it though. Also, I'll message you as soon as I post the Fanime pictures on a public site. Right now they're just on Facebook.

I'll throw this up there ... just in case.

Do any of you guys have pictures of a:

Kyo, Yuki, Hitori, Tohru group (Fruits Basket)

... or a

Deidara, Gaara, Tobi group (Naruto)?

Pictures in groups or as individuals are both cool. Chances are the group pictures are a bit rare.

If you need reference pictures, our video  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_FRSSXptO4  opens up with our cosplays.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't posted the pictures where they are readily accessible yet (just on Fbook) but I'd like to say your video made me lol hardcore. FINALLY I found someone who got the video fo the Kagura's chasing the Kyos around. :D Ahhh goodtimes.

cool maybe we can hang out in line waiting to register, recruit a bunch of people and storm fanime con!
what time is the best time to go and register? figure i should go before it opens but how early?

I'm going to be there early but seeing as we're driving down there at about 4am tomorrow (leaving here anyways), I don't think I can pinpoint when I'll be there exactly. Knowing my luck I won't be there until right at 8 :S

Taking Photography-4 at Butte College...and at FanimeCon, I will be armed with my Canon Rebel XSi D-SLR camera and hundreds of pictures will be shot!

Butte! I'm going to Chico State :D

My favorite movie is Legend (with Tom Cruise..before he was crazy)
