wasnt sure if i should have put it in SB or here, Mod-move please?
I disagree that this should be moved to Serious Business. MJ was a major influence in the entertainment industry and had a lot of baggage associated with him. No offense to the very recently deceased, but Billy Mays was just an overly loud pitchman. Apples and oranges.
And Billy Mays forces thousands of dollars out of the pockets of unsuspecting Americans on horrible products!
If a man like that is not worthy of Serious Business then no one is!

Uhh, interesting way to put it, but yeah I agree.
At what point do you determine how important a person is? Other than making an announcement about his "Farewell tour", Michael Jackson hasn't been seen much lately. Billy Mays was on T.V. and Radio all the time pitching things from Oxy Clean to Volkswagens. As was Ed McMahon had been a fixture on television for years.
I loved his new show too, i've been watching it a lot.
And let's agree please, no posting of those "Hi, Billy Mays here!" pictures. It's too soon.
what about planning a Billy Mays zombie oxyclean commercial in the irc chat?
Did you just claw your way through six feet of dirt, mud and rocks? do you need that shirt to be WHITE before your rampage against Vince Schlomi? YOU NEED OXYCLEAN!

I'll agree to disagree.

??? That doesn't make sense. Unless like, you're just yankin' my chain there. :o
Perhaps it's best to stay here, some thing mentioned are not serious enough for the SB, which is part of why I didn't start the topic there

I rarely post in the Serious Business thread unless it's something that can actually matter, and even then probably not, or to speak my concern for a particular threads being located in the section.
See, I don't think the Micheal Jackson thread should be there, but it is. And if it, then this thread should be too, as well as any other thread about something similar. It only makes sense. I don't think a thread on a subject like this is worthy of Serious business, but it should at least be there if similar threads are.

Thats a very reason to move it, so that a serious discussion can form for this topic. Or like the Micheal Jackson Thread, everyone will say how they are sad that Billy Mays died and become just as pointless.
A local T.V. station here in the L.A. area actually ran one of his Oxy Clean commercials late last night.

I miss the guy. The fact that both him and MJ were 50 seems wierd. I dunno.
The other day I saw a video on YouTube of him using his pitch antics to order food at the drive-thru for McDonalds, lol.
Billy Mays once sold pain to Chuck Norris.
