Yes u do need keycards for the fairmont elevators. You only need them if you are using the newer building adjacent to the hotel.

1k saved up for fanime. :-)   that is all i need. :-)

Tip: if youre going to drive, expect to pay for parking. There a selected FEW spots where its free but you dont get your car back after the holiday......and it intends to get filled super quick.

Doesnt really matter, you are going to be in line for hours.......last year i got there at 10am. I was in line until I got my badge  11:30ish at night. It was just not worth it for me. I can get my badge within minites on FANIME Friday morning.

Swap meet was cool though, but that starts at night. Just be prepare to stay in line for hours. One room to another, to another, to a hallway, to another room...........really dreadful.

Be frugal until we reach fanime.
