Ooh I remember you! I passed by your booth several times and couldn't resist getting one of the cute collars you had. Really hope you are able to find someone to share a table with, I'd be super excited to see you in AA again this year!
Best of luck to everyone else as well~

To the Drunk!Tenth Doctor cosplayer roaming around on sunday night/early monday morning; You probably didn't even notice me sitting off to the side of the concourse (Hilton side) with my friends, but I just wanted to say you were awesome and made my night. If I hadn't been so sleep deprived, I would have gone over to say hello, really. I'd love to run with you. ; u;~

Fennel's Late Night Dreamworld was hands down the best panel I went to all weekend. I hope they do it again next year. ; u;

This panel needs to come back next year because it was the very best like no panel ever was.

he played air hockey with me for like, 6 hours on sunday night.
then he wandered off. and i was like 'damn. he was cool. i hope he has facebook'.
Was he tall, kinda skinny, short black hair and glasses? o wo

I went to this panel for the first time this year and was pleasantly surprised. Dude, you're hilarious!

I was Ben Ten on Thursday, and Team Magma and Shadow Heartless on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
At one point on...Sunday, I think, I was Millia from Guilty Gear. I borrowed the costume from my friend, but it looked pretty terrible on me, so I walked up and down the hall once just because I spent so much time trying to get the mother-trucking wig to work.
Wtf Kathleen is that you? :'DD

PANDY???

AWW YEE. <3
Chris and I never got to say goodbye or anything on monday. We were kind of a mess though since we never went to sleep. You missed out on some seriously intense jenga though girl.

Haha yup, that's me! And it's no problem. I felt like I was spread pretty thin as it was because I was trying to meet up with so many friends. n__n;;
Next year for sure! If either of us remembers, that is. xD

I wish I'd made it back without catching something. But I guess I always do. ;   A;"
This year was probably the most fun I've had in all my years at Fanime so far.

Some highlights for me were:
- getting to room with a different set of friends than previous years
- trying out speed dating and getting hit on by a random passerby before it even started (if you happen to be that guy who was making heart-signs at me from outside, hey! Send me a PM hahaha~)
- playing some epic Apples to Apples at early hours of the morning without sleep
- Yaoi bingo. HAY ANTON HAAAY <3
- connecting Pokéwalkers with a ton of people

And so many other good things. It was definitely a good year.

I highly recommend taking a 15 minute drive to either Mitsuwa off of 280 on Saratoga for delicious Ramen or to downtown Mountain View to visit either Ryowa or Maruichi for more Ramen. I find all of them are much better than SJ Japantown sadly :(

If anyone is looking for excellent ramen, Kahoo around the corner from Mitsuwa is superior in every way. Just sayin'. c:

As for secret treasures of fanime, for me it's the people I meet wandering around in the middle of the night. I've met some of the coolest people that way.

Oh I am all over this. >  U<;
I was hoping a DRRR! group would pop up here. I may or may not end up at the gathering, depending on what I have going on at the time.
But I will definitely be on the look out for Kida-kun's and some Shizaya action~

I just want to say kudos and thank you to the musicfest staff for bringing LM.C this year! > W<
I've been a fan of them for a few years now and it pleases me to see another quite popular Japanese band coming overseas for us.

I hope that things are not as chaotic as they were when AnCafe was a guest at Fanime. I spent most of my con time in lines for the various events that year (concert, Q&A, signing lines.) ;  0;"

Echoing the "don't take candy from strangers" comment. Seriously.
Yes, for the most part Fanime is filled with very nice, generous and largely harmless people. However, you can never be too safe.

I also have never heard of any incidents where this was a problem, but I know I've had scary situations myself. A few friends and I were approached by a creepy guy in 2008 who kept offering us Rockstar energy drinks, and even though they appeared unopened, he was very pushy and it made everyone really uncomfortable. We got a rover who eventually escorted him out of the con because he didn't even have a badge. o  Ao;;
I'm pretty sure these things do not happen often at Fanime, but they can so it's just best to be safe and use your best judgement.

All that aside, I hope everyone who will be going to Fanime for the first time this year really enjoys themselves! I've been going to Fanime for 7 years now and have always had a lot of fun. It's one of the few things I look forward to each year. c:

It's partially standard in any type of community of people, but it seems to be the worst I've ever seen amongst con-goers. I guess thats what happens when you have a ton of socially inept people gathered in one facility, or just a group of people in general gathered up. You decide!

That seems to be the largest problem I've encountered at fanime, honestly. I have definitely met a lot of really cool, totally awesome people in past years. But I have also met my share of major creepers. :/
Apparently I am very approachable, and it gets me into some uncomfortable situations at times. ;  n;" And then I wonder if I am the victim of someone who just walked out of the How To Talk To Girls panel with a little too much confidence.

It's sad that some people aren't even aware of how off-putting they can be. But that is why I never walk around alone. It's always good to have a friend with you to bail you out of a really awkward conversation or whatever.

Good luck with both of your cosplays. c:
If you have any doubts about being recognized as Hachi, you could always carry around a volume of the manga? Haha~
#18
Aww, go ahead and do it!
There is usually a trend or two in cosplayers every year, depending on what anime has gained a lot of popularity at the time. (I'm sure most regular Fanime attendees remember the Death Note year. L cosplayers EVERYWHERE. ;  A; )

Nana isn't exactly new, so you probably won't see many cosplayers for it. However, there are a lot of people who love the series, and you are almost guaranteed to meet other fans if your cosplay is noticeable enough.
If you really want to do it, I encourage you to! It will be a lot of fun for you, especially for your first con. c:

Video Programming / Re: J-Drama

It's a bummer that the j-drama room didn't succeed. I visited it in previous years but usually it just happened that there were other things on the schedule during the showings for anything I was interested it, and I always ended up at other things.

Maybe it will make a come back some day. ;  w;~

My name is Alec, and I guess I was noteworthy for always having my cane (I'm in physical therapy), even while dancing, and for being a blue spy on Saturday.
You! You played Apples to Apples with me and my friends, right?
I'm Pandy, the one with the pink hair. :'D
You were awesome fun and I was hoping to run into you again at the con, but it never happened~

I REMEMBER YOU GUYS SO VERY AND EXTREMELY HARD :DDDDD

You guys played the most extreme A2A I'd ever seen! I can't believe I didn't run into you, either! You guys were what is commonly called "extremely rad"
Aww. <3
Yes yes yes! We played until we ran out of cards.
PM me for contact info of some sort? You were an extremely pleasant surprise of cleverness and not-douchebaggy-intellectualism.
