I'm going to Kin Yoobi Con to help out with a booth. It'll be my first time going. :)

Good things:

1) I thought the idea of the double-yellow line in the hallway was adorable. It helped a lot with the foot traffic.
2) The rovers who handled the panels and closing ceremony I attended were well-organized. You got people in and out very efficiently, even though there were delays on the panelists' parts.
3) I found the staff very pleasant. They were polite and answered my questions in a patient manner.

Things that could improve:

1) The switching of the entrances and exits were confusing. I entered one side, only to find out an hour later that it became the exit.
2) One person told me that the dealer's room closed at 12:00, so I went to ask another person. They told me it closed at 3:00 p.m. The schedule said 4:00.

I have seen the convention improve in efficiency from last year, so I give you a thumbs up. Thanks for hosting a great Fanime.

It was the first time I attended closing ceremony. It gave a positive end to a good weekend.

I also liked the fact that more of my friends attended. :) We had lots of fun together.

You got to see it? I didn't and had a few questions:Did they play
any fake Geico/Fanime commercials?
A commercial/PSA about Narutards and eating at con?
a Mastercard/fanime commercial?
Thanks a bunch! We put those together for ZNN and left them for the others to play and I was curious if they had played them. :3

They played the MasterCard commercial. That was very cute. XD

Perhaps it's because of the lack of excitement that I was able to relax this year.

What's up with the lolita hate? It was hot, and therefore a lot of lolitas didn't wear over-the-top coordinates. The point for some is to be comfortable walking around for 8 hours a day. Hey, just enjoy watching the others.  :P

I agree. I had a few bad moments this year but past those it just fell a little empty compared to last year. Still I can't say it was not fun.

Lolita isn't cosplay, you guys. @____@

Kind of nick-picking there aren't you? It's basically treated as Cosplay by most. It may not be actual costumes but most people don't where Lolita all day long, they where it for special events to get attention. Or so my observations and personal opinion tell me.

Uh... you've never seen us in San Francisco, have you? Lolita is worn on a regular basis.

Awesome. I'm looking forward to it. It'll help me take over the world plan out the weekend.  ;)

FanimeCon now open Day Minus-One.
Attractions to look forward to feature the wide swaths of the public lower concourse offering a vending machine and an ATM for your pleasure. We have also negotiated a lucrative contract with the Starbucks (which may now be a Peets?) to operate during their normal business hours. Attendees, please come early so that you may enjoy absolutely nothing at all......Bonus: if you get in the way of the decorators and Fan Services setting up Registration or Exhibit Halls, you will receive a generous helping of A$$ kicking, served up by yours truly.

OMG... I accidently did that once for a science convention in the same building. The ballroom was completely empty save for the janitor and I thought "my... what a horrible turnout!"

This'll be my first time going to day zero. I want to hang out with the other pre-regs. ;)

I just got 3 words for ya'll:

Subway: Eat Fresh. (and cheap!)

It's true, even if it is really unhealthy.
better than other con foods like coffeepotramen and mcdonalds.
plus you can get healthy-ish chips, apple slices, orange juice, etc. there.  and it's comfort food!  is there one near the con center?  :3

Actually if I remember correctly McDonalds SnackWraps (a few of them anyway) are more healthy then your average Subway Sandwich. Crazy I know. But it is true, Subway is more healthy then most Fastfoods.

Yeah I wasn't saying that I necessarily believe that Subway's all that good for you, hell a foot-long Meatball sandwich is like 1250-1400 calories. Still, buy a footlong at lunch, have half at lunch and half at dinner. 5 bucks. Good times.

Especially for people who go to fanime with like 100 bucks, if that, and expect to make it through the weekend lol

I survived on 90 dollars... but that was because I ate breakfast at home and I was used to finding reasonably priced food there as a student. XD

For grocery stores: If you don't mind walking a bit, Zanotto's Market is on 2nd Street and Market Street. If you're there on Friday, the Student Union of SJSU is open for inexpensive dining.

Hello. I was a model for the Lolita Fashion Panel. I had short hair and was wearing a black babydoll dress with gloves. If you could give me pictures, I'd really appreciate it. :)
