Hey everyone!! I had soooo much fun at the Scott Pilgrim gathering this year and would love to have it happen again at Fanime 2012. :D
I was one of the three Roxy's this year and I got so many great pictures of everyone from the gathering. I loved meeting all of you and being able to nerd out about the Scott Pilgrim world!
Anyway, I liked that it was on Monday, even though check out time was at the same time. Maybe we can make it after check out time if you'll all still be around? Check out was at 12pm (when the gathering started), so how would 1 pm sound?

omg Monday AGAIN?! I'll have to be play my cards right with the hotel leader... *shifty eyes* And get my stuff packed by the night before asap. I'm going to be hella lazy probably. But I wouldn't want to miss this!
I was one of the Ramonas last year. I was the special red one<3 The azn one, lol. Let's say I'm a Ramona + Knives mix? Why not the best of both worlds? Just more excessive with Ramona because I don't like Knives as a character (until the last book, that is).
I'm currently taking some dance classes for balance. And I also have learned to rollerblade a bit.
If I get better at rollerblading, I'm considering learning how to Hip Hop and breakdance to try being a JSRF character one day in the future.
I also recently dyed my own hair blue-green. I just hope if I get a job soon that they won't demand me to dye it back, how boring! lol
Anyways, for now, count me in as Ramona again! (I just hope I get eye contacts by then though! ><)

@ shy-cosplayer: so lucky, I wanted my friends to come do this with me too but they weren't interested. I know these two guys who would've been almost PERFECT to play the Katanagi twins! So mad at them right now. So mad! And a guy to play Patel but he's not so interested in cons anymore. So mad, so sad.
BTW-IMPORTANT:
Does anyone know whether or not Rollerblades are BANNED?! Like entirely?! Like, I doubt I'd go CRAZY in them and all (besides, I'm far from going aggressive inline at this stage, lol) From my understanding, everything is fine as long as (1) it's not a real weapon and (2) you won't be rude and break conduct and stuff like this. Anyone have any info on this? Official news/info understanding?
Because without bringing my blades just DOES NOT feel right!
I'm not sure about rollerblades... seems like they wouldn't let you in the halls, but outside the building should be fine. I'm not sure though.

Almost done with the cosplay. (as you can see for yourself). I'm not going to do the hammer. Too much effort and time I don't have. Getting a couple of people to help me with the bag and shirt creation. Then I'm practically done! Just gotta dye my own hair the week before Fanime.
btw, to my knowledge: skating is fine immediately OUTSIDE the con, just not inside, right?

Me and the boyfriend broke up recently. I'm just hoping that he still won't cosplay Scott while I'm there now. That'd be awkward? lol

I'm sorry to say my shirt isn't or will will be completed, so I am sadly here to say that I will not be there as Ken Katayanagi... I will try to come another year hopefully ready, remember though, Scott Pilgrim will never die! (Except that time he did and had 1UP)

Here's a tip you can do.
1) Buy a base colour sleeveless shirt. (Black or White, which ever you planned to do). $5 hanes shirt at Walmart or w/e?
2) Buy Fabric PAINT (check with your nearest art shop, I go to Blick).
3) Glob some on (work on one side at a time), wait to dry, and iron over it. (Last I check this was the instructions, could be different per brand).
The design is just a big circle with lines dragged out from it so it shouldnt be difficult at all.
It might be messy but it's pretty easy for last minute things.
This might help you.
Sure, it's not a clean print or clean sewn-on design, but it works.
And I just got into a rollerblading accident. I hope it'll heal by Fanime lol

And my wound has healed for the most part, it's not noticeable now. However, I know I have internal bruising that will take up to 2 more week to fully heal. So that sucks. And totally gonna try rollerblading outside still... Cuz rules and regulations isn't SAY outside of the convention hall. Same for "loud music" lol. Gonna see if a friend can play some the Scott Pilgrim album or a playlist with some SP songs during the gathering to make it more exciting
Hey guys, sorry I didn't see your question from earlier!! I haven't checked the internet all weekend. :p FiF, MS means Fountains in Front, Marriott side. It's the code when we register for our gathering spot.
As for today, thank you all SO MUCH for a wonderful gathering this year! The music was epic, I loved Ramona on rollerblades, and everyone was so nice and fun.
I really do feel bad and apologize so much about our incident in the beginning of the gathering... those of you who went know what I'm talking about. But it will NOT happen again and I thank the Scott who saved the day.
As I said at the gathering, I will be bringing cookies next time!!!! I had so much fun this year and I would LOVE to meet up with all of you again next year! I hope you all liked it too and want to come back and hang with us. Plus, you know, there will be awesome cookies. Just saying. :p
I cannot wait to see pictures, as I did not think to ask anyone to take pics with my camera this year... Silly me.
You all are my favorite and I will now look forward to Scott Pilgrim gatherings every Fanime!! Also, if any of you go to Sac Anime, we ALWAYS have a Scott Pilgrim gathering every con. :D And it is amazing.

despite the fact that I overstretched my thumb during an action pose and now will have to wear a thumb stabilizer for two+ weeks. ><
I made my friend buy an amp and play the playlist. Stetching the rules, and no one complained, so all was well!
I clearly got back with my bf sorta (red Scott). We met 3 Fanimes ago, including this one. We were a couple before SP came out & we both fell in love with the film. So last yr we cosplayed them together (although my cosplay was sadly half-assed I admit ><)
