QuoteWe discussed this in your last thread, citrus.  You basically have two options: Attend Fanime or Go Elsewhere.  If anyone seriously cared about your complaints, there would have been more of an outpouring of responses by Fanime staff.

Fanime, like many cons, will give you the standard "We only announce guests when the ink is dry on the contract" response, along with the "The guest's agent has requested that we not announce their appearance until such-and-such a date".  While these responses are perfectly valid for some guests, I find it hard to believe that these excuses can be applied to all guests, every year.  Unless, of course, Fanime waits until March to actually get guests, which, by my understanding of the process, would be very, very odd.  I agree with you that it upsets me that Fanime has, for the last several years, waited until May to announce their guests.  Even if there was someone I wanted to see at Fanime, by May, heck, by April, I already have booked my plane tickets to Animazement.

Citrus, we both seem to attend cons for largely the same reasons - The guests.  Instead of complaining about how poor Fanime's offerings are, drop Fanime and head over to Animazement with me this year.  Am I super excited about Animazement's current offerings?  Other than meeting Kikyo and Belldandy's seiyuu, not really.  But at least I know that I won't feel the weekend will be a complete waste of time.  And I'll get some good BBQ out of it too.
Perhaps you are right cutiebunny. All I ever been doing since deciding to join the fanime forums is complain and raging at the convention for doing such terrible job all the time now. I've attended 2014. While seeing big name music artist like HOME MADE KAZOKU perform for the first time was absolutely amazing. Every other guest was absolutely terrible with people I have absolutely no clue who they are. Even if they have some credit such as dubbing fairly popular anime they're either still way too much of a greenhorn to join big name conventions like fanime or there are guest that have absolutely nothing to do with anime or has not had a noteworthy role in a long time. As much as I LOVE and I mean LOVE music more then anything else. I also love guests who work in the anime industry and if there's no balance between the two, even if I had an immensely good time with the music guests. I might as well have been paying an actual ticket for the concert instead of a fanimecon badge. While yes, I had a phenomenal time with the concert. But if everything else at the con sucks. It's just simply not worth it.

I will say that your suggestion of dropping fanimecon and going to Animazement sounds extremely appealing. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend this year. I'll fully admit That I have a high income to spend because I'm able to attend somewhere like AX which costs a whole lot for plane tickets, transportation and everything else. I am still pretty young and it's only become recent I'm able to travel myself. But so far I've only traveled to the west-coast for conventions and have yet to attend one at the east-coast.

cutiebunny you seem to be a veteran when it comes to conventions. Do you have any advice on how to budget and how to plan flying to another convention that's far away as the east-coast or out of state in general? I love going to conventions and I would be willing to pay a good amount just to have a good time. But at the same time I don't want to bust my wallet. And from an expert such as yourself, do you also have any other recommendations of conventions you go to? Any advice would help me greatly if it means I'll have a better time.

Serious Business / Why is everything always late?
March 29, 2015, 10:48:37 PM
Seriously, I am sick and tired of almost everything being late and the only thing that isn't late were the opening for hotels. Which in fact were opened very early. The past few years fanime has posted everything late. Some of you may be excited for the convention even when programming hasn't been posted yet. But for my case I am REALLY sick and tired and I'm also, very angry. I've already complained several times about it , but I'll emphasize it again. I am ESPECIALLY sick and tired of guests always being announced very late and somewhere close to the end of April when the con is about to start at April. And I want to know why. Why is everything about the convention always late? Programming, registration for certain things and pretty much everything else.

I payed 55$ for a badge and several people, including myself. Have been struggling just to get a hotel room at the convention. So for a convention  with a very large attendance and with "1000" staff why are we still dealing with everything being late? This is highly unacceptable and I think all of us deserve better.

This is what I notice. Whenever a convention decides to announce things very slowly or not announce anything 1-2 months prior to when the convention stars. That means either the convention is hamstringing things together or they're is doing this on purpose to hide something until it's inevitable to announce whatever they have. This just means the staff or the convention knows with what they have is crap or just not confident in general. And I have this feeling for the past few years.

If anybody is paying attention to fanime's social media, when have they announced ANYTHING? I'm looking at facebook and twitter. the time is the same.

December 18, 2014 " Our Housing and Registration websites will be down for scheduled maintenance from 8 AM to 8 PM PST on Saturday, 12/20."

January 10 " Interested in performing on Stage Zero? The information on how to do this is available on"

March 25 at 3:05pm " We are accepting video entries for our Fanimecon Anime Music Videos. All rules can be found here:"

Is that seriously it? Is this all the announcements they have been posting? From what I'm noticing other conventions already have posted or announced stuff like this. At most even when they're not posting frequently about something. It's usually always something noteworthy. Like maybe a guest announcement in which fanime has absolutely failed to provide even though the convention is drawing pretty close.

Seriously every other convention I'm looking at already HAVE at least 1 guest announcement of some sort, or if anything they post several things showing that they are getting ready for the event they're trying to prepare for their fans.

So why ISN'T fanime doing the same?! I have barely seen any improvement over last year when it came to announcements or programming in general. Yes, fixing the registration line was the best. But that's not enough to accommodate for what I had to deal with in order to be able to attend 2015! For a convention that has over 1000 employees, they're not exactly showing that they're ready for the event. Considering the rare announcements, terrible registration with the hotels and the fact that they have not posted a SINGLE guest announcement when several other cons have already posted guests they're having. It shows those cons are capable of running an event and being able to satisfy several attendees. Fanime has shown barely any competence that they can run their own convention or satisfying a lot of their fans, which is why quite a few current attendees attend to their competition. I wanna know what all the staff have been doing for the past few months because clearly, they're not exactly showing they've been doing the best job of running things. They're all nice but I've yet to see any remote competence.

I want answers. I want to know what the staff have been doing and why everything has been barely announced. Why they haven't posted a single guest yet. Because at this time, I feel that fanime is just hamstringing everything together. I may live close by to fanime and it's only a 2 hour drive but you can be surprised how demanding just driving for 2 hours is. And since the convention is located in San Jose, its no picnic walk driving around. I'd pay 55$ And this is all I get from fanime? I expect better and want better. Considering, on how the staff that run the social media for the convention goes, I highly doubt they'll even answer me. Or even the forum staff well answer me.

I've been pessimistic and cynical ever since I decide to join the forums, and I have valid reasons too. A lot of attendees are excited for fanime but others are also extremely dissapointed for what the convention has been offering or doing. And I will continue to remain this way until the staff or someone changes my way of thinking.

Surely I'm not the only one that thinks of this? If any of you want to correct me or argue my post, feel free as there is a reason why I made this forum in the serious business section.

Hate to break it to you but no. Fanime has NOT posted a single guest anywhere else. I checked all the social media they're on and there has not bee a single guest announced. And I have a feeling there going to delay the guest announcements until MAY which is the month of the con. Fanime simply love's to do this now.

I would like to thank you all for responding to this thread. I never thought that this thread would actually get the attention so many, let alone even the staff. Quite a few of you have offered decent advice that I'll definitely consider. To those of you have seen my posts in the previous pasts. I think it's pretty clear I've been acting very pessimistic or cynical towards the convention and for many good reasons too and like Cutiebunny has said and I think I can speak mostly on her hehalf. Both of us are very unsatisfied and unhappy with the results fanime has produced in the passed years. And this is what most of you have said

1. "Fanime is a hang-out convention. Cosplay and hanging out is what it's mostly about." That is not true in my experience. While I admit fanime dosen't have the biggest roster of guests compared to other anime conventions. At least all of the guests were high quality and VERY-well known. Quality over quantity you could say. And not only that back then, fanime had a lot of interesting programming, both fan and guest panels. Back then I actually had found plenty of things to do on a friday at fanime. But now the programming for Friday really sucks now. What I'm basically trying to say that fanime didn't use to be just a HANGOUT convention. It offered a lot of things to satisfy at least all demograpics. But now I just feel like the convention is basically isolating that demographic in favor of the locals in San-Jose and for people that just want to "chill." What me and Cutiebunny come to fanime for is the GUESTS and programming overall. We're the demographic that enjoy panels and learning many things from the guests that we're interested in. And since that core has been taken away, we have no motivation to even return to the con. Yes I like people with amazing cosplay. Fanime probably has the best cosplay around but that's not what I came to San-Jose for. Whenever I come to fanime. I think of three things 1. Shopping, which fanime has plenty of. 2 The guests and 3. The music concerts which Fanime is usually known to get really big names. And some of you say to change my demographic or open up a little more. Well I'm sorry if I tend to come to fanime just for the guests and programming alone. There's a reason why many fanime attendees say that 2011 was the best year. It's because it had offered the best of the best towards all demograpics. But 2012 is what made many fanime attendees stop coming for many reasons. 1. Crappy guests that no one has heard of or cares for. 2. Fanimecon LIED during the musicfest at 2012 where the announcer said "You might even get to see Miku tonight!" When the announcer said that. I thought, "The actual Hatsune Miku!? Oh my god!" But NOPE! What we got instead was a DVD re-run of a freaking concert on the Tv!!! There was an actual Miku concert being held at a small theater during the convention but it was smally advertised and I missed it due to sheer confusion of its location. And to add salt to the wounds. There were announcements on the Tv screen during fanimecon on the guests that "couldn't come" like Hiroshi Kamiya, one of the biggest name seiyuus that played A LOT of roles that any people know and Nightmare! One of the most FAMOUS Visual Kei bands in the world! But instead what we got was his "brother." while I liked it. It wasn't what I was use to. And to this day Nightmare has STILL not have performed in the U.S once and Fanime could have made history with that! But no, they screwed it up BIG TIME during 2012! And that has what left really bitter memories for me at the convention. During 2013 I thought it would be a better year and it was slightly when it came to some of the music guests. But I still considered it a fairly bad year. 2014 has gotten rid of the lines for registration but almost everything sucked and I was treated to MANY guests I have NEVER and I mean EVER heard of, with the exception of a few. I was treated to the highest quality programming back then and the fact that the convention has DRASTICALLY reduced that to bare minimum has left me wanting to go somewhere else. So instead of having to change my demographic. I want Fanime to give back what I like and is USE to! Why do you think many attendees flew to the east coast for animazement? They have many well known guests and programming which many people liked. And they announce some guests EARLY!!! And what does fanime do? They delay the announcment of guests so late into the convention that's its hard to change your plans!

2. I still question the tagline "For fans, by Fans" Maybe back in 2011 it was but now I feel like that's no longer the case. Yes, I know some of you suggest that you should vocalize on what guests you want and while that seems appealing. It's clear that our suggestions for guests have been falling on deaf ears for the past few years. Many suggestions that fans vocalized never came true. I don't expect super big names like Johnny Yong Bosch to come or Steve Bloom but at least get SOMEONE with a very well known reputation that at least quite a few have heard. And in the past. I never had to vocalize on what guests I want because fanime used to provide guests that many fans they KNOW they'll love and go crazy for. And that's the thing. You don't need to vocalize on what you want. Fanime provided guests that fans KNOW they will like. For example, while AX is a big convention and probably doesn't give the opportunity to voice out. They provide many guests that are awesome and people have no need to voice out. And just because fans don't take the opportunity to vocalize what they want. Doesn't MEAN we have to be stuck with crappy guests we never heard which I feel like fanime is doing. Because the convention should KNOW what fans would like. Fanime is going to have around at least 27,000 attendees this year. I REALLY don't think money is the issue but I think that the so-called 1000 staff are insufferable of bringing the big names or anybody that's note-worthy. If fanime wants to keep me as an attendee then they should KNOW how to bring good guests that doesn't require me to vocalize my voice.

And there are so many why questions I could ask. Why is it so hard to even get a hotel that's close by the convention center? Despite vocalizing what guests we want. Why do we still keep getting crappy ones? Why hasn't fanime provided what their fans want? Why hasn't there been any improvement to the demographics? Why does fanimes ALWAYS announce guests super late? Why do they always show the programming very late? I use to LOVE fanime during my high-school days but now that's different. Fanimecon use to always provide me with the most happiest memories. But all I ever feel like is that it provided me with bitter memories and wasting my time and resources. I may be under a certain demographic. But as one of the many other demographics. WE DESERVE BETTER! And if it hasn't shown. Fanime has proven itself to be highly incapable  of satisfying all their fans now. And now I think its a good time for me to vocalize WHY I don't like fanime like I use to in bullet like points.

1. Fanime has lied to me during musicfest.

2. Suffering a long registration line during 2013 has left very bitter memories for me and it also has left that toward MANY attendees. People waiting 8 HOURS for a badge? I've been to ax and even THEY don't make you wait that long. While I waited 4 hours for my badge at AX and I waited a most 2 and 1/2 hours during fanime for my badge. The diffrence? I felt the LINE was moving and that the convention had MANY things that felt like the wait was WORTH IT! And I emphasize WORTH IT!

3. Taking most of the things I use to come for. Which is good guests both animation AND music.

4. Showing NO improvements to some things fans have complained about!

5. I've been given the impression that the staff DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN about their attendees concerns or complaints. I've been espsically given that impression towards the staff who's running the facebook page of fanimecon.

I am angry at fanimecon and I want them to know that. I want them to know WHY I don't think its a convention worth coming to. And personally I don't want to because fanime use to hold a special place in my heart. And I still want the convention to do that but its been hard. I vocalize my rage for reason and that's because deep down I still hope that the convention improves.

But considering that the staff here at the forums are actually NICE and seem to listen instead of making a bunch of bull excuses, I'm starting to become a bit more forgiving. I love fanime I want it to improve. But if it can no longer provide what I want and like then I'll take my business some place else.

If you want to improve then you should be able to find a way to satisfy ALL demographic of fans. Not just isolate certain ones. As of this post i will be going to Sakura-con in which I know they have what I like and I KNOW I will have a good time. I'm also looking foward to my local convention sacanime which is getting bigger and better each year. The best formula for success I think is by examine why other conventions are more successful. And with the least amount of complaints. As of right now, Fanime still has a vast large amount of complaints and have lost some of their previous attendees for the fact they're not satisfied what the convention has brought. If you look to Sakura-con and Sacanime. Both conventions keep getting bigger and better with minimal complaints. For now, I am giving Fanimecon ONE more chance. If I have not seen any changes that would satisfy me. Then I will no longer be coming to the convention. So all I can hope is. I hope many of you staff members are reading my post and that you are taking my post VERY seriously and will do your best to satisfy me and other atendees.

Here's an idea. How about inviting someone that somebody ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT!? Like the 2011 fanime guest roster and not super crappy roster from last year or past few years for that matter. Yes, yes I know some of you are gonna argue saying that "Fanimecon is a hangout con" or "Your being too harsh, you should give the new people a try." If you ask me that's not very solid argument! First of all when you invite guests that doesn't have ANYTHING in their bio that would make people say "Oh yeah I'm familiar with that person's work!" How can you like them or give them a chance? Secondly if you were veteran as I like to claim I am one. who's been to the convention for over 6 years now. You would be treated with guests that you would be familiar with and also with the modern times. (As in people that had a very noteworthy role during that year or the previous one) And because of that I expect BETTER and MORE guests considering on how large fanimecon has grown over the past few years, even though to me some of them weren't that great. When you see a con grow you expect better and not worse! Listen I'm not expecting Super big name stars like Steve Blum, Laura Bailey to come to fanime. or at least that often but what I don't want is guests that are so obscure in the industry that nobody would care or know how to approach the person. Bring someone like David Vincent who was at fanime a long time ago! While he's not super big like the others but at the same time he's got quite a few noteworthy roles that a lot of anime fans would be familiar with him! Fanimecon probably have 26,000 to 27,000 or even more for fanime 2015! Money SHOULD NOT be the issue you guys have PLENTY of money to bring big name guests! Look at Sakura-con or even my local con Sac-anime! They smaller and yet somehow have MORE and better guests!

I'm done ranting. If you guys really are listening to fans then LISTEN TO THEIR REQUESTS AND TRY TO BRING THEM! This is what I want. I want two FULL Japanese acts for musicfests and I want at least one Well known Japanese producer or seiyuu. If we're talking about North american voice actors. Like I said bring someone who is fairly well known and had a fairly recent and big role! That is...if you guys are truly insufferable with resources...

It seems SUPER unlikely but if I were to go into specific guests these are the ones I want if possible

Seiyuu:

Yuu Kobayashi

Yui Horie

Mamoru Miyano

Kana Hanazawa

Yoko Hikasa

Norio Wakamoto

Takehito Koyasu

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka

Voice actors

Christaphor Sabat

Crispin Freeman

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn

And this one seems highly unlikely but if possible

I really want to see the artist Taka Tony to come.

Honestly I have high doubts any of our request will be heard or granted. But ANYBODY's suggestion has been fulfilled I'll be happy and impressed. I'm losing my patience but I'm giving fanimecon. I come to the convention because of the noteworthy guests they had in 2011. If not, then I'm willing to save up my fundings and fly to another convention!

Serious Business / Is Fanime worth going to anymore?
March 09, 2015, 08:02:23 PM
I've been going to Fanimecon for 2007 and always had an immensely good time. But ever since 2011 the convention has being bringing me mostly disappointment after disappointment. And even though it's 2015 and the convention hasn't even STARTED. I'm already becoming disappointed with the results. This is the second time the hotel registration site crashed and its even worse then last time. Not only that, in my opinion most of the guest roster for 2014 was absolutely TERRIBLE compared to the previous years. It was almost as bad as the 2012 guest roster. Possibly even worse.

The only saving grace fanimecon had during 2014 was their musicfest. I was incredibly disappointed with the first act. I found it to be extremely cheap and it's someone you would see at a much smaller convention. And overall disappointing. Trust me I was not the only one who was disappointed. I literally heard at least one person booing the first act. Which has NEVER happened in any of the previous musicfests. If someone's booing then it's clear fanime is doing something wrong! But thank god Home Made Kazoku made everything up for it.

I might as well also give my small feedback about fanime 2014 since no one had made a proper forum for it.

Pros: - the main act of musicfest

- The vendor hall and much more organized and what looks like an even bigger artist alley

- They FINALLY fixed the registration line!

And... that's pretty much it.

Cons: programming for the first day SUCKS! I was so bored and I had nothing to do most of the time. So all I did was shop at the vendor hall and artist alley. But oh wait! That probably benefited fanime since I'm spend A LOT of money there! Because of how bored I was. I think that effected me spending more compulsively then usual...

- This was probably fanime's 2nd worst musicfest yet. And I say 2nd because at least they had a super amazing act. in the 2012 one, fanime pulled a giant middle finger towards everyone and even lied to their fans.

- Like I said in the top. The guest roster was terrible and we got some guests NOBODY cared for or even heard of.

- The effort it took to get a hotel.

And so this brings up to my point and the original topic I was going to discuss. I apologized if I rant but I felt like I had to get it out of my system.

And so my question to all of you is. Is Fanimecon even worth going to anymore? I've been going for so many years now but I feel I should just cross fanime off my list and find another convention that has a better guest roster and OVERALL more organized and better overall. For example one forum member from another convention website that he/she was so dissapointed  that he/she flew all the away to North Carolina for animazement and was not the only one. Quite a few fanimecon attendees did the same. And I might as well start doing the same. What do you guys think? is the convention worth going to? Or should I take my business elsewhere. If yes it's not worth going to. What other conventions do you recommend going?
#67
Yeah... what are the chances of ANY of our suggestions being taken into account? With the past few years with guests I NEVER even heard of or are just simply easy and cheap to get. I'm still very cyanical with what guests we're getting this year. How bout people in anime industry NOBODY has a clue who they are? Or maybe we'll get some American voice actors that hasn't even gotten a noteworthy role in an awful long time? In which at that time no one will care as well. Simply from the give past. I have a feeling some of the guests were there JUST to fill in the void. And you know what the funny thing is?

Sacanime gets WAY more and BETTER guests then fanimecon has during the past few years. 2011 was the last year that what I considered Fanime ever had a truly magnificent guest roster. Each year the convention gets bigger but is it getting better? I'm starting to think no. It's been much harder to even get a hotel now and each year I haven't seen many guests that I'm truly excited for. I swear if I don't see any names that many anime fans would know or truly adore. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

The whole hotel booking thing was even more confusing this year then 2013! And having anybody be able to reserve a hotel without a badge was NOT a good idea! They said they were going to implement this idea NEXT YEAR! But fanime decided to but as of this post this year they decided to have registration and hotels this year MUCH early and still have the same policies. No restriction that will limit the people to go book a hotel...Look I'm really sick and tired of struggling this hard to get a hotel each year and like everybody else. NOBODY wants a hotel that's like 3-4 miles away from a convention! Okay... so they added another hotel to the list but it's just as far away as the other two hotels that are close to the San Jose airport! That really doesn't make a huge difference for people who want convenience!

I don't know about any of you but the reason why me and many others don't want to book a hotel like the double tree or the other two is because of one thing I hear. The shuttle bus was an utter mess and the attendees has some delays to getting the convention.

These are two solutions I could think of that would help make things more convenient for people to book a hotel. 1. Add the numbering system for people who bought a badge to be able to reserve a hotel that fanime originally attended to implement. 2. If somebody who reserves a hotel without a badge are REQUIRED to purchase one and if they don't within a certain number of days, your reservation will be canceled and people who do have a badge can snag the room. This was something I've seen Anime Expo implemented.

And yes, I've heard the complaint's about "This is unfair! I don't have the money to purchase a badge yet!" Well I hate to sound like a jerk but TOO BAD! First of all if your either a new person or a regular fanime attendee then you should have saved up in advance for a badge. It's like this, You don't have the money to purchase a 55$ badge compared to reserving a hotel that will cost you at least close to 100$ a night? That doesn't make any sense! I was the majority that was extremely upset when fanime decided not to implement this system. It could have possibly prevented ANY crashes or overload during the website!

Though from what I hear people couldn't reserve a hotel without buying a badge.

I know I've been posting nothing but complaints or mainly cynical posts but can you blame me? I've been going to this con since 2007. It was my very first convention and at least back then things were really good!. But I'm pretty sure for those who have attend 2011 and then attended 2012 realized the drastic changes the con has gone through. I wanna put my faith in Fanimecon but each year passes by I've been getting discouraged to even attend the con. To those of you that go to facebook I'm sure you seen the heated complaints the fanime facebook page gets.

You know what doesn't help? I feel the staff or at least those who run the facebook page DOESN'T care about their attendees as they NEVER reply to all any of our complaints or messages. When things started to get hot, fanime will just ignore everything. Oh and should I mention they got rid of their 2013 survey on how to improve the convention on facebook? Only those who visited the official website would be able to find it. After poking around after becoming a forum member I been noticing at least the staff around here seems to be a bit more responsive and caring. Though, I can't help but be skeptical about the staff not responding if the forums get flooded with complaints...

Hotel and Facilities / Re: So...Waitlist?
November 12, 2014, 01:42:13 AM
What are the chances of someone being able to get their hotel when they're on the waitlist? I was lucky to snag a hotel that's near the convention before fanime got all of them. I didn't want to have the hassle of not having a hotel nearby at all. I've been going to this particular hotel ever since 07 and I'm not gonna be changing hotels anytime soon. while the hotels were jaw-dropping expensive without the fanimecon hotel rate or discount (was around 300$ a night) I rather have a safety net then not having one at all. I was REALLY lucky to even get the same hotel at the fanimecon rate but with all the server crashes and screwup I'm still not 100% sure whether or not I actually snagged the room reservation...
#70
Which one is it then I wonder? Everybody is wondering which is the correct time which only creates more tension. That is not something we need for a convention. If Fanime continues to have issues like this, this shows that they are truly, incompetent. Which has shown in the past few years. If you want to earn your attendees trust. Then you shouldn't have problems like these pop up.
#71
It just gets harder to book a hotel room each year. And as time goes by there will be new attendees it will only get even harder. The convention has plenty of room for more people but hotels are a different matter. All the hotels the are close the convention are always booked in just one day and all that's left are hotels two miles away from the convention which nobody wants! Why can't fanime get more hotels or at least put restrictions on the hotels to make it easier to vook?
#72
I went through SO MUCH trouble last year to reserve a hotel and had to struggle to get one! The website to reserve a hotel CONSTANTLY crashed! Many attendees were very angry that they couldn't get the hotel they wanted! I remember you guys had a good idea by adding a number system to restrict the limit on how people can reserve hotels. I and many others thought it was a brilliant idea as it would also prevent bots from reserving hotels or so the staff say. But then suddenly that idea was rejected and people had to deal with the constant crashing? Try the phone number line? Yeah I tried that during the hotel registration rush hour and do you know what happened whenever I tried calling the number? It was either to busy, or led me to another service like a plumbing one...

I've been going to Fanime for 7 years and never in my life I had to deal with this crap! Trust me I am by no means a troll but I am very upset for for the past few years on how fanime did. This year's Fanime got a fair amount right and it's act together but there are PLENTY of things they could have worked on!

Fanime I love you but I ain't gonna sugar-coat everything if I believe something needs to be fixed. And these are the things I want.

1. Make hotel registering LESS stressful!

2.Bring BETTER and more well known guests!

3. BETTER communication with your fans! The communication on facebook was horrible and I felt the staff was completely oblivious and didn't care for their attendees.

and 4. LISTEN TO YOUR ATTENDEES ON WHAT THEY WANT!!!

I am glad you guys are at least getting things right by having registration and hotel planning set real early. 2014 was the right step but it still left me fairly unsatisfied. I am going to do my best and attend 2015. The official website is finally up unlike how it took a MONTH before the convention started to get up.

Once again I love you Fanime. I just only hope you'll do even better next year.
