From the sounds f it, not to many people are happy with the Marriot, but more so with the Hilton. I want to hear more feed back on the Sainte Claire. It was great overall...just a bit iffy about staying at a renovated hotel come next year. I have seen some of the horrors that can happen at a hotel that was recently renovated. I wonder when the Hilton is going to decide to go through with the renovation.

I make neko ears and tails on a regular basis. I could try to make a new pattern and see if I am even able to help you out. I love challenges ^_^. do you need a tail to? So if you want me to try this I can @ no charge and show you the end results and see what you think. Also do you want the traditional eevee golden beige colored fur or something else?

Okay so I want to hear from any of you who are not from cali and did have a table in artist ally. After seeing some of the stuff that was in there, i really regret not selling at Fanime. So I need advice and info on those  as I mentioned came to fanime outside of cali. I'd like t talk to you one on one through PM or chat.

I was wondering how could we thank all those who staffed hard core for fanime 2008. You guys and gals were seriously awesome.

I got my picture taken at the Vampire Knight Shojo Beat magazine shoot. I won a free shirt. Got surprised with a fridge in our room.

I was at Walgreen's picking up cough medicine@_@ Turns out I was coming down with bronchitis at the con. I'm lucky I took good care of myself there  and avoided it from becoming pneumonia

The plastic holder was also for Security to check to make sure the badges were not fake. *Ahem* I dunno if you guys caught that or not.

Other staff probably didn't even know...sadly. Poor communication this year in terms of what the plastic was for. Read the BACK of your badges...your badge is not VALID until you have the plastic holder =P

Yeah a friend of mine and I found that uot at one of the dances. The staff handling the dance line were kind enough to give us theirs so we didn't have to go get new ones @_@

The Sainte Claire was great as always. We got into our room right away and had no problems the entire weekend. The free wi-fi and the tv hook ups were great. No problems with noise or crazy elevator people either. And with 4 of us in the room (each sharing a double bed) it came out to $93 each for the whole weekend (with parking and taxes). We'll definitely be there again next year.
How far is this hotel from the convention center. It sounds wonderful.

I stayed at the Hilton.
I thought it was a 7 out f 10. My main complaint was the water pipes. I was on the third floor and any time someone from another room or even floor flushed, shower, r ran their bathroom sink the pipes in the bathroom and noise come from the ceiling. I swear at 5am every morning it sounded like a water pipe was going to explode. One minor complaint was how ghetto our coffee maker was @_@ or in our case, our cup-o-noodles maker. Other than that the rm was nice, the beds okay, pillows galore @_@, and the staff awesome. We even ended up with a fridge even though we did not ask for ne. Wish we had a microwave too ;_;

I was a bit disappointed in the lack of J-pop video'ing going on. The little bits that I did see was great (and the ladies running it were great too). But the limited time slot for this wasn't appealing. From 12am - Noon? Not exactly a great schedule and no fair to the people who put in time and effort to make this a part of FanimeCon.

I would have (and I am sure others) would have filled the room more had it played during a more available time frame. Hopefully next year it would be more of a 24-hour video room and not some 12-hour thing during odd hours. For the first time since I started going to Fanime (back when it started in Hayward), I actually watched some J-pop for more than 2 hours straight. These ladies musta done something right.

More J-pop video please.

I totally agree. Their video room rocked and would of had way more attendees in the room if it was at a different time slot. Not that watching hard gay at 3am wasn't amusing X_X. lol. I swear after seeing a lot of those amvs from the 80's....i swear thats what influenced para para. Hey to the girls who held it. Thanks so much for the flyers at the tables too ^_^. good times good times.

Hey by chance did you make it to the panels held by Panda cubed. They had good music videos too!!!!!

I don't have any taken by me, though I thought it would be nice if we had one thread dedicated just to pictures taken of all the different photo shoot gatherings that took place. If you have any images from any of the gatherings please post them here ^_^

Happy Birthday!  Sorry you're sick.

I'm 49.  Still having fun at cons, cosplaying, anime etc.  Feeling younger all the time.   ;D

Holy crap you are?

@moonkin: Happy Birthday! I wish you the very best. :3

as for me, it's august 4th. I'll be making a gathering for it again. Look for the details soon :3

Hey were you raymond (sp)? I think that was the name of the guy debby brought up to our room. IF this is you, hey...it was nice meeting you. you were very friendly and very sane. Quite a nice combo to meet at an anime con ^_^

ZOMG san jose at 3am is like grand theft auto...no joke.
Seriously, you're not kidding one bit. Our group went to Jack in the Box at about 1:30 AM or so Monday morning and we saw tons of police cars heading in one direction. We stopped to talk to one of the cops we saw while crossing the street and asked what happened and all he said was "A really big fight". It had to be a huge fight, down there street where he was standing there were lots of police cars and an ambulance.

dude there were flares on the road and cops everywhere and clubs out the wazooh and skanky women and scary thug like folk at jack n a crack, when I went.
