Would anyone be interested in checking this exhibit before it stops in January?
I'm interested, but I don't have a lot of free days so I might have to bow out.

there are also 2 other events going on this weekend! from 10am to 5pm
such as the spirit of Japantown which is really easy to get to by Lightrail, in down town san jose.

Yea, Spirit of Japan Town should be good. It's too bad that this month's No-Name Anime ended up conflicting with it.

In preparation for Halloween, ghosts, goblins, witches, warlocks, vampires, and zombies will appear on screen, and two series will vanish from the schedule. We'll be in the Redwood Room (aka the big room) this month.

Are you ready to go back to school? Mayura spends more time at school
in Loki, and the other characters are already learning! In The Twelve
Kingdoms, Youko learns about her country, Shoukei learns more about
her father's reign, and Suzu learns that she's not as alone as she
thinks. In Tactics, little Suzu learns more about Haruka, the
demon-eating goblin, while in Tweeny Witches, the parents learn about
magic and prophecy. Jin learns how to grill eel in Samurai Champloo,
and we learn about kendo with Miya-miya in Bamboo Blade.

I'm not far from the library in Santa Clara! ...but this...all goes back to the "Oh i'm overly shy and not outward" sort of thing. So... oh man ><; I'm running in circles aren't I? -huff-

I hope you'll join us at No-Name Anime.  Some of us like the steps of

1) hang out together and watch anime
2) chat and socialize
3) maybe make friends

in this order instead of trying to make friends as step 1. We're also cool with people who just want to watch anime and not ever socialize.

Cool!

The updated schedule that is consistent with the library's new, earlier closing time is:

12:30 The Twelve Kingdoms #28"Great Distance in The Wind, The Sky at Dawn - Chapter 6"
13:00 Tactics #21"The Door to Memory"
13:25 Tweeny Witches #16 (aka 31-32)"Anguished Heart" and "The One Thing That Must Be Protected"
13:55 Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok #10"Twilight Coffee Shop"

15:35 Card Captor Sakura #18"Sakura, Yukito, and the Summer Festival"

This will also give those of us who are going to the Obon Festival in San Jose afterwards a little more time to wander around around before the festival dancing starts.

Happy Graduation! Summer is around the corner, so we're starting a new series for the new season: Bamboo Blade. Politics heat up for Arusu of Tweeny Witches and the Half Section in Planetes, and interest in Haruka heats up Tactics. Come kick off a great summer with these shows!

Suspi,

I treasure my badges from previous years and had one of the old ones with me for the whole con. If you haven't already made my badge for this year, I'd prefer that you not make it and save your time for new activities. If you have already made it or if it is already in progress, I'll try to figure out a reasonable way to get it and give you a donation.

Join us for an afternoon of subtitled anime. It's only April, but for some of us, summer can't get here fast enough! Those who don't want to wait can follow Kenji's adventures in Summer Wars. Rivalry heats up Tactics and Mini-Goddess, a solar flare threatens Hachimaki in Planetes, and Eva pulls some smokin' magic in Tweeny Witches. Even if the weather hasn't caught up yet, this will be one hot afternoon!

im just curious if any/all/some of these episodes have a "valentine/asian new year" theme because of the weekend in question. :P

This month's Bottle Fairy covers Valentine's Day. The episodes of Tactics and Planetes both deal with couples and relationships. Samurai Champloo may not have romance, but the episode deals with relationships between the sexes in the show's typical 16+ style. There's a lovesick ghost in Otoboku. Finally, the episode of Cardcaptor Sakura where Sakura must bake a cake probably puts us close to the Library's limit for maximum sweetness and pink-ness.
