As for axel's hair:
Style: Use Normal Hair spray or gel^^, getting your hair to stick up liek his may be harder to do by yourself, get a fried to do it, and make sure you have a picture of him@_@ or your friend may make you have electric shock spiky hair xD
Color: Depending on your natural color this could be hard. If you have blonde to a light brown, or even if you have like the coppery color, I'd say you can easily just buy some red hair spray form like halloween or party stores.^^ As for Darker color's unless you have red hair I'd say either temporary red hair dye, or you could try the red hair spray, But be careful it may come out looking like marluxia's hair color^^.

I think the one he was wearing at the Scarlet Majesty liveconcertthing looked pretty easy/simple. But I haven't been able to find any good reference pictures. Other then that, I think the Metamorphose one looks easy.
I don't really have any tips, other then take your time and don't ignore the details. Oh, and shoes are evil to make. XD

Haha, I know the feeling. I've been going to fanime for the past 4 years, and everytime it approaches, I ALWAYS get dreams. It's so weird XD I think photoshoots are the best part, since you can completely fangirl about what you like :P It's gonna suck waiting to get the badges, hehe. Looks like we have a pretty big group this year
You kidding? I've always been to Fanime once and I went into cosplay withdrawl the following weekends. Oh yeah, Kingdom Hearts is definitely going to be a big photoshoot, but hopefully it wont be TOO crowded because overly large, crowded cosplay groups make for not-so-fun photoshoots.

AX is just crazzyy big. Who knows though, Final mix and Re:com are coming out soon, so i'd say it's still hellla popular. I agree with the smaller group thing though. It's a lot more personal and fun. I think the worst feeling ever is before and after fanime XD Before, it's all like ughh hyper jumpy i cant wait, and after is just like.. damn its all over, gotta get back to real life :evil: So excited XD My dreams are always of me forgetting my cosplay outfit or me forgetting to go. If anything, KH2 will just pick up even MORE new fans by the truckload when Final Mix and Re:CoM comes over to the states (apparently it's actually coming to the US instead of Japan hoarding the game to itself like they did for KH:FM , those sneaky japanese gamers...) .
Ah well. I guess that's what spoof cosplay is for. Either Saturday or Friday night, me and a couple of people are doing gender-bender spoof cosplays. I'm going to be decked out in ManPimp!Namine and my bud's agreed to do a Femme-Riku. It's gonna be a blast.
Yanno, I've never had cosplay dreams before lol. But for me, the worst part is the (ridiculously late) last minute costume-additions to the cosplay and after the convention when it's all over.
The world just seems so ordinary afterwards. :3
I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather that time slow down a bit. It seems to be going a little too fast for me right now. I'd like it to slow a bit so I can work on my costume (can't remember where I put my old Riku costume, working from scratch) and finish on time.

Okay, I am in the process of making a custom Maleficant outfit. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, cuz I am using the dress for a rennaissance fair. It'll prolly look similar, but I detest those halloween outfits, and the disney sewing patterns. i'm hopping it'll come out friggen wicked, since I went through like 3 pattern books. if anyone is familiar with the name McCall (sp?) That is the company I chose my pattern from. lol They have wicked awesome patterns. (Since the evil fairy WAS in the ren period, I thought I'd give tribute to the origional story and Anne Rices' version. o_O)

As far as the groups go..I know the group I am with will have a Xemnas(final form?), Axel, Roxas (Org style I think), Marluxia, Vexen or Xehanort, Xaldin, Xigbar, DemyX, Goofy, Sora (Final Form?), maybe a Riku, Kairi or Namine, maybe a Maleficent and I am doing Sai'X so yeah..we'll be a nice big wave of KH descending from the con doors onto the fountain.

BUT, this clothing/costume lady I know has a fuax leather Mal costume...heh heh heh...I may buy that If I don't get MY original costume. She has AWESOME costumes like that, amd told me when It's May to come in and she will pull the stuff out.
You're right.. time's running out faaaast. I've got my Organization XIII coat, and the pants and jacket for Squall, but I'm missing the accessories (black double-pronged leather belt, black leather grommet belt, two brown leather grommet belts, pair of gloves, black shoes, and a new Griever [which is being ordered as I type this]).
I just hope I'm able to get it all together on time. <.< If anyone could point me in the right direction for the belts, I'd be eternally grateful. ;p
If you have ebay, check ebay. The VF link in my siggy will bring you to my profile with a link to the main page. Too bad I didn't know this ahead of time, cuz I would have tooled and custom made the leather belts for you. Next year, eh?
Haha.. Too bad indeed. I actually expected the person who I had do the pants and jacket to send me the accessories, from a previous conversation with him/her, but apparently, there was a misunderstanding or miscommunication, or something.
Would anyone happen to be able to point me in the right direction, to a store I can actually walk into? Unfortunately, I'm not completely sure as to how belt sizing works, or what sizes I need, for that matter. ;p
Belt sizes are the same as pant sizing. For the belts on your arm, it's just the width of your arm. (how many inches around)
Hrm, well I don't live anywhere near you...so I can't tell you whats there...except maybe go to the mall and go to HotPocket to get some overpriced belts. -_-'' Which is ridculous cuz I am sure you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for something you are only gonna where once. OR fall apart if you do wear it more then once.
Hrm, what about the Cosplay.com site? I'd say hit the second hand/thrift stores to see if they've got what you need. Sometimes you can find some real nice things and trinkets.

hey, i was just wondering: anybody need props made? like keyblades, ORGXIII weapons made, anything? cuz i got a butt load of extra materials just sittin around. fees from 5-10 bucks, depending. custom design keyblades, you gotta show me. i cant make realistic regular keyblades, but i CAN make custom designs. draw a pic in paint or something, and ill do my best. monedy due at delivery. if you want any color besides black, gold, silver, or bronze, its another 4 bucks for paint. that all. ill do it.

Unfortunately, by the looks of it, I won't be able to make it as Squall after all. I haven't been able to find the extremely elusive belts (armbands included), and have less than three days left (due to work on Wednesday). Unless I somehow pull off a miracle, or someone presents one to me, I probably won't cosplay at all this year.
