I got 9207. I think we have to check our account for our spaces

I'm guessing it stops at Step 5 to check your registration in the system before paying for the space and all that? I entered my badge info but I can't go any farther yet (to payment, etc.) as far as I can tell. I seem to remember it being the same last year, just popping in to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Have you tried reloading or clicking one of the link to go back to step 5 and move to step 6?

That's ok. The worst one would be when a dealer, who tried to cause trouble, came to my booth near end and tried to lowballed on the games me and I refused and then he slammed the games on ground. And then he tried to pin it on another dealer on the board. And the dealer, who was the one causing trouble, at the swap meet event denied it. All because the other dealer refuse to comply with him.

that's just sad, but I hope you won't have to go thru that again this yr if you're selling

I agree with Michi, South Hall (aka the big blue tent) was an excellent location.  Probably second only to being in the convention center itself, which apparently will never happen again.

The year it was at the City National Civic Theater was the worst, location wise.  It was way too small to accommodate even a reasonable number of people at any given time for Swap Meet.  If I recall correctly, I still managed to sell pretty well, but everything I heard from people trying to get in later was that it was a huge headache.  There were definitely a lot fewer people coming in to browse because of the limited capacity, and I also noticed fewer people made multiple laps or return trips throughout the night.  Second worst location was the Fairmont, partially because of the distance from the convention center, but also because of the really confusing way sellers were spread out through multiple ballrooms.

I don't remember when seller signups went up the last couple of years.  It definitely seems like it creeps closer and closer every year, but I didn't think it's been this close to the start of the con before.

I remember a parent who would leave his to cry at my space so I would give the toy to the kid for $1 until one of the staff kicked him out.

sorry misintrepid it. The father and his baby wanted to buy this toy loose http://www.tfu.info/2000/Vehicon/Mirage/mirage.htm for $1 when I was selling it for $5. The kid cried and the father refused to leave my space until I would give it to him for $1 and driving of potential customers until one of the staff told them to leave and he made excuses that I refuse to give the toy to his son for $1.

??? Last year was the South Hall, and it was great. I can't speak for all sellers but I sold well! Two years ago was when it was at the theater space that was too small and it was too crowded.

Except for a dealer who caused trouble with me and tried to pin it on another dealer who refuse to comply with him.

Yeah i think it was one week before two years. At a horrible location where limited number of people can get and barely made a sale.
#9
I hope the registration does not come up 1 day before the 1st day like two years ago

I hope a dealer won't cause any problem at swap meet and try to pin it on another dealer

One of the dealer who shall remain nameless has been harassing and intimidating and threatening to ban me at several events is going to be at fanime. And he went to the swap meet event near the end of the event and intentionally dropped my games for not excepting his offer and srossii455 tries pin it on one of Once Upon A Video Game dealer when it was not them.

I am worried that he will cause trouble on me just because I said the stuff he sells are over-priced and he has intimidating me and following me at the same time and threatening me yesterday. Recently he glared at me. I feel that he try to cause trouble on me at this year's swap meet and the staff will not be able to do anything about it and he get away with it like last year.

He has done this on other people but they are too scared to stand up to him and he has connection with other people who he has not screwed over who he can hide behind and get away with it.

Even if I tried to record his action, he can destroy my camera and gets scott free.

I am getting worried right now.

Hi, I've been selling at Fanime swap meet for 7 years, and this was by far the best it's been setup, especially on Friday. Registration was a breeze, checking in was a breeze, and I had ample time to setup before buyers were let in.

There was only one blemish on an otherwise perfect swap meet, and that was that during the last 5 minutes, while we were putting stuff away, the dealer from -mod edit- came over, reeking of beer, and tried to low ball us, not taking no for an answer, instead trying to add stuff to his purchase and make a ridiculously low offer. The guy wouldn't quit and kept hassling us. This was WHILE we were trying to pack up. I haven't had trouble with any other dealers coming to swap meet aside from these guys, and this isn't the first time it's happened.

Really? I thought it was a dealer from -mod edit- was the one who came to my spot and tried to lowball and bargain with me video games with ridiculously low price near midnight. And then he just dumps the games on the floor.

How do I know? Because he was wearing a -mod edit- shirt. I think you are that dealer from -mod edit- who is trying to face your face by denying you tried to lowball so you can resell my stuff at your booth. You even admitted on Saturday that you bought my stuff and reselling it and then you deny it afterwards.

And you tried to discredit -mod edit- because they refused to bargain with you and you got hurt. You probably got hurt by me too and tried to pass yourself as me because I have been warning others about -mod edit- and what they did to me and other dealers in the past.

If you are this -mod edit- dealer, then this is the worst and lowest thing to do just so you can be the only video game dealer in Fanime. I do not appreciate you doing this. I should blacklist -mod edit-.

PS. I have already told the Fanime Staff from the Dealers Room about your post and that -mod edit- Dealer at the Swapmeet. They are thinking of an investigation.

Okay.  Seems like we're having a problem with Step 5 of the registration process.  I'm getting in touch with Decantus to get the finer details worked out and make sure people can get registered.  Just popping in to let people know we've seen the problem and are working on it.
