The guests I wanted to see don't seem to be coming this year, so allow me to make my suggestions for next year.
First, Lucky Star star (as well as Saki's Koromo and Heaven's Lost Property's Astraea) Kaori Fukuhara. Next year she'll be appearing in Yutaka Yamamoto's new movie Hakubo, so there's also that. I would've also invited her more famous LS "sister" Emiri Katou, but this year she'll be appearing at Anime Revolution in Vancouver.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=19431
Second, Marina Inoue, better known as Chiri Kitsu in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and SnK's Armin. As excellent a seiyuu and singer as she is, she hasn't gotten nearly enough love at foreign conventions.
And I don't know how easily it can be done, but I wonder if Hidamari Sketch artist and Madoka Magica character designer Ume Aoki would be willing to show herself in public at Fanimecon.
Wow, don't think we've ever had a thread started for the next year before the current year's con was over!
Thank you for all your excellent suggestions, everyone! While it's unfortunately not possible to act upon all suggestions, we do (read: Evan does) keep track of each and every one of them so keep 'em coming!
Wow, we already started a NEW THREAD XD
o: A thread for next year already?? This must be a new record. XD
I'll make suggestions after this year's Fanime is over. :P
I'm just gonna repost the guests I would like to come on here, since it seems the other guest forum is much quieter now. So TeamFourStar (Takahata101, Grant, Lanipator, Kirran, Hbi2k, Zito, Kaiserneko, Little Kuriboh, Corinne Sudberg), Kira "Rina-chan" Buckland, JAM Project, Sweet ARMS, Yousei Teikoku, FLOW, Todd Haberkorn, Christine Marie Cabanos, Carrie Keranen, Patrick Seitz, SomethingWittyEntertainment, Sarah Williams, Matthew Mercer, Itou Shizuka, Of course Doug Walker again! so cool to finally meet him last year, and some others.
I made this thread because there probably aren't going to be any more announcements for this year...and partly because I wanted to do it before forgetting, heh. Plus I live in San Diego, so getting to Fanime obviously takes a bit more planning. I chose Fanime rather than Anime Expo mainly because, well, no offense, but the guests I want are a bit lower-profile, and AX obviously tends to go for the biggest acts. Plus it gets sooooo crowded.
I'd also like to repeat my requests for last year; Non Non Biyori stars Kana Asumi, Kotori Koiwai, Ayane Sakura, and Rie Murakawa.
oh wow then that's some excellent planning, and same Fanime is located in my city so it's easier for me to go to
Yeah Fanime is way closer to me than AX is(Fanime is over an hour away, while AX is 6ish hours away). So I always go to Fanime. I've been to AX twice, and while I do like it, it does take a lot to get there, plus AX is more expensive, since concerts and such cost extra where Fanime doesn't charge extra for Musicfest.
I won't be making AX this year, but that's quite alright.
So the music group that's coming this year, who are they this is the first time I have ever heard of them and I can't find a music video of them on youtube
I'm going to make the same suggestion that I made a few years ago:
Lexa Doig has played a hacker (Tekwar), a cryonicist (in Jason X), a starship/robot (Andromeda), and three different medical doctors, one of whom is also a time-traveler and one of whom is an alien. She is the de facto "Queen of the Nerds". I think we should make it official by holding a coronation ceremony in which she is presented with a crown or tiara with the phrase "Queen of the Nerds" inscribed in it. The cost of the headgear could be crowdfunded if necessary.

There's some info about them on the guest page (http://www.fanime.com/news/x4/).
Matsushita Yuuya was here a few years ago as a solo artist but this is the first time X4 is coming. I believe Sony blocks their videos outside Japan on YouTube so you'll have to try to find them using either a proxy server or other means. If you use a proxy, this (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGzp0jKJu7LuoYQUqyBsOIw) is their official YouTube channel.
(I also recommend you post questions in a different thread since this is a thread for guest suggestions. :) )
Oh ok thank you for the link and clarification, and then what's the thread for the music guests then?

Music Fest falls under "Big Event Showcase." The (suggestion) thread is here (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,20744.0.html). You can also create your own threads as necessary.
Gotcha thanks again
Might as well put my annual "INVITE TEAM FOUR STAR TO FANIME!" down in here. :P
Firefury Amahira lol I also said the same for TeamFourStar, lets try and get them to come next year!
YouTubers and Twitch Streamers, since next year's theme is Gaming.
Markiplier, JackSpeticEye, LittleKuriboh and Marianne Miller, Kinda Funny, Fun Haus, Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter, That One Video Gamer (the Completionist/Super Beard Bros./the Dex), ProJared (as a real GoH), MatPat of Game Theory, Doug Walker (return), PeanutButterGamer, SpaceHamster, BrutalMoose, Game Grumps/Ninja Sex Party, Ray Narvaez (brownman), Nathan Sharp (natewantstobattle)
And to go back to Kinda Funny, maybe host their Kinda Funny Live show in conjuction with FanimeCon, since they are local.
Yeah! Little Kuriboh, Doug Walker, and TeamFourStar all together will be a blast! that would really make a very funny Convention XD
Oh and maybe get one of the creators or designers for NieR: Automata if we can

Alrighty! Gonna actually post early for once!
I'll repeat the one voice actor I really want - Rica Matsumoto (Satoshi/Ash Ketchum in Pokemon)Ryou Bakura in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Jim Hawkings in Outlaw Star, Rumi from the Satoshi Kon movie: Perfect Blue, and Aoi Futaba from You're Under Arrest.
Other options would be: Hoshi Souichirou, Yukari Tamura, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Megumi Hayashibara, and Kamiya Hiroshi.
Although here's a new one I haven't posted yet:
Mitsurou Kubo & Sayo Yamamoto! The Yuri On Ice creators! :)
The only guest I can ask for is the YouTube Let's Player NicoB (NicoB7700)! He is most well known for his 40ish various voices that he plays on his channel and for getting people into various gaming franchises, most notably Danganronpa. Other games include Ace Attorney, Persona 4 and 5, and Kingdom Hearts. His fan base, the Picky Penguins, is arguably one of the most dedicated and caring of them all since Nico tries to be as personal as he possibly can by directly addressing people's comments from previous uploads! He has just begun selling official picky penguins as merchandise! Additionally, his videos have led to popular memes in a substantial number of video games series, particularly the "hope bagels" of Komaeda from Danganronpa 2 (despite bagels not appearing in the game at all!).
Since the theme of Fanime this upcoming year is gaming, I think he would make an excellent guest, especially since Danganronpa V3, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Persona 5 will be big topics next year! Above all, NicoB has admitted to never attending an anime convention before in his life. It would be absolutely amazing for him to come, and I'm sure no one will ever regret it!
Mitsuro Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto
seiyuu (voice actor): Kamiya Hiroshi, Nakai Kazuya, Namikawa Daisuke, Paku Romi, Hoshi Souichirou, Minagawa Junko, Tanaka Mayumi, Ootani Ikue, Hirata Hiroaki, Ishida Akira, Takeuchi Junko, Konishi Katsuyuki, Sugiyama Noriaki, Onosaka Masaya, Seki Tomokazu, Miki Shinichirou, Seki Toshihiko, Suzumura Kenichi, Suwabe Junichi, Kaida Yuki, Takahashi Hiroki, Yamaguchi Kappei, Furukawa Toshio, Furuya Tooru, Ookawa Tooru, Irino Miyu, Miyano Mamoru
music: Kotani Kinya, AAA
An even bigger long shot than my request for Cibo Matto for Musicfest but.....
Shinya Arino - Japanese comedian and media personality probably best known these days as the star of GameCenter CX. For a convention such as FanimeCon with the theme for 2018 as gaming, there is no better guest of honor you could hope to have. GameCenter CX is a celebration of Japanese video gaming, gaming culture, classic gaming lifestyle, video game related skits, just everything wonderful about classic gaming and the peak of the Japanese video game industry as a whole. At present, GameCenter CX has run for 14 years and is in the middle of its 21st season.
The show has a massive following in the USA, after a rough start with a handful of episodes loosely localized by Kotaku and released as RetroGame Master. At the end of this run, GameCenter CX actually had a USA trip, visiting San Francisco and Los Angeles in 2011. Desiring a more complete and accurate experience, a number of fan translation groups began translating episodes, most famously the Something Awful GCCX Team (SA-GCCX). SA-GCCX developed a wonderful relationship with the show, staff, and production company. The head translator for SA-GCCX eventually re-translated the Kotaku package episodes and others for the official RetroGame Master GameCenter CX Collection North American DVD boxset. SA-GCCX continues to fan translate episodes to this day. Additionally the first of the three GameCenter CX video games had an official localized release in North America as RetroGame Master, itself a celebration of gaming with friends.
Again, I'm sure it's a total long shot but it would be awesome if FanimeCon could make an attempt to get the Kacho back to the states for one more challenge. Show cameraman Kouichi Abe would be a pretty big draw as well, I'm sure.
Alternately -
Mamoru Oshii - visionary writer, director, and master craftsman of the anime that makes you think as it entertains you. Honestly I'm sure a great deal of Fanime attendees are already familiar with the man and his works. Storyboard artist on the Urusei Yatsura anime, as well as the director of the first two films - and writer on the second, Beautiful Dreamer. Directed Dallos, essentially the first OVA ever created. Worked briefly with Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki before bailing due to creative differences (some of Oshii's musings about Miyazaki are hilarious, true opinions from someone in the trench of anime production). Founded studio Headgear and created Mobile Police Patlabor in 1988. In 1995 Oshii created what is generally regarded to be the high point in the Ghost In The Shell productions, the original animated film adaptation. He's continued to be very active to this day, contentiously one of the most influential writers and directors not just in anime and manga, but in film and popular culture. Patlabor 2 The Movie being one of the greatest, if not the single greatest outright, anime film ever created.
2018 will be the 30th anniversary of the first Mobile Police Platlabor OVA (early days), with an upcoming new series (Patlabor EZY) on the horizon. Additionally I can't think of a time when Ghost In The Shell was more (for good or bad) in the public mainstream. I know it's a pretty big stretch but I can't think of a bigger name to have as a guest of honor. He's a terribly busy man so I know it is a total shot in the dark.
Tsukasa Hojo - Creator of Cat's Eye, City Hunter, and Angel Heart. No big over-reaching reason here other than I really like the man's works. More or less the guardian of slick, stylized action manga with heart. Dashing men, glamorous women, and over the top adventures with extraordinary people. Everything he creates is chock full of humor yet very serious at the same time. Not as well-known in the West as he should be, but a lot of the anime adaptations of his work have been released subtitled over the years. Most recent being Cat's Eye by Discotek. The second Angel Heart manga series concluded in 2017, so if this was ever going to happen, I figured now would be the best chance.

Holy crap I didn't expect anyone else to want a comedian to come!! It would be freaking awesome with Arino could come!!
I haven't thought that far ahead, but in the same vein of Japanese comedians, perhaps Mr. Yuji Ayabe? Starting this year he left Japan to focus on an acting career in America. He's acted in a few dramas, but Kamen Rider is a big hit when I look him up.
Oooh, I got Todd Haberkorn to come to fanime, that's one off my list now lets see some more!
Yayyyy Todd!! (Gdi now I might have to bring Giroro back again next year..... ;___; )
How about getting more of the Sgt Frog gang?? ;D Chris Sabat?? J Michael Tatum? Brina Palencia? :D
George Weidman: Superbunnyhop
I think Nabeshin (Director of Excel Saga and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge to name a few) would be a great guest. I've met him at other cons and he brings a lot of energy.
So far, Fanime only has one guest that I'm interested in (Satomi Sato) and she is (sadly) not enough to make me fly all the way from the East coast for... So hopefully you guys will be able to invite at least 1 more from my long list of 40+ guests to make the trip more worthwhile!!
Studio TRIGGER - This is a no-brainer. Super popular panels. I went to other conventions that hosted them and they always bring great crowds. (I would love to see Sushio or Yoh Yoshinari but any TRIGGER staff is fine with me :D)
Minako Kotobuki - Voice Actress. Since you're bringing Ritsu from K-On, can you also bring Tsumugi? Pretty please :'( She also voiced Natsu in Baby Steps and Asuka from Hibike! Euphonium.
Shinichi Nakamura - Producer. Maybe go big and invite the producer of K-On while you're at it? He also worked on popular titles like Free!, CLANNAD, Kanon, AIR, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, and Beyond the Boundary!
Kenji Horikawa - President of P.A. Works, produced Angel Beats!, Another, Hanasaku Iroha, Shirobako, etc.
Haruka Chisuga - Voice Actress, had main roles in Akatsuki no Yona (Ki-ja), Owari no Seraph (Mikaela), Shirobako (Shizuka), etc.
Masaki Tachibana - Director. Some of his works: Princess Principal, Barakamon, and Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (I actually just met him in AnimeNYC but would love to meet him again in Fanime)
Daisuke Namikawa - Voice Actor. God Daisuke. Insane range and most versatile in the industry. I would pay big $$$ to see him.
Aoi Yuuki - Voice Actress, she did the voice of everyone's favorite frog girl in My Hero Academia. She also voiced Diane in Nanatsu no Taizai and Tatsumaki in OPM amongst other roles.
Tensai Okamura - Director and animator. Some of his works: Blue Exorcist, Ghost in the Shell, Nanatsu no Taizai and Wolf's Rain.
Shiori Mikami - Voice Actress. Krista's voice in Attack on Titan and Akari's in Yuru Yuri.
Masahiko Oota - Director. Some of his works: Himouto! Umaru-chan, Minami-ke, and Yuru Yuri.
Yoshida Reiko - Screenwriter. Some of her stuff: Aria, Bakuman, K-On and Non Non Biyori.
Shinya Kawatsura - Directed Kokoro Connect, Non Non Biyori, Tanaka-kun and more.
Ryo Horikawa - Voice Actor. Vegeta in DBZ, Heiji in Detective Conan, Reinhard in Legend of Galactic Heroes and the list goes on.
Megumi Hayashibara - Voice Actress. Living legend. Faye in Cowboy Bebop, Haibara in Detective Conan, Rei in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Musashi in Pokemon, Ranma in Ranma ½, Anna in Shaman King, Genkai in Yu Yu Hakusho and more!!
-- Will post the rest at a later time

Oh, Aicosu is coming back again this year. Didn't get to actually see them two years ago, so I wonder what they will be cosplaying as.
I think a really cool guest would be JaxBlade. He's a fitness youtuber who does workout content tailored around things like anime, video games, and comic books. It would be pretty cool for him to maybe have a panel and/or a activity time slot doing anime/videogame/comic style fitness.
I'd also like to request a few of my favorite cosplayers:
US Cosplayers:
- moderatelyokcosplay
- akrcos
- alysontabbitha
- kikikabuki
- xbrinni
- thealchemicfox
- akidearest (also a very well-known youtuber)
- pixelghosts
- lennethxvii
International cosplayers:
- geheichou
- leonchiro
- reika
- knitemaya
- Hana & Baozi
These are the guests that my entire crew and I would pay ENORMOUS AMOUNTS OF MONEY to see at the con!
- DashieGames
- Gaming Illuminaughty
- Game Grumps
- GACKT
- squirrelman238
- Fawnina
- ModeratelyOkayCosplay
- KaybearCosplay
- LeonChiro

Ahh mama Aki I like what ya got
Erika Harlacher I would line up for, though it is contingent upon my associated cosplay being completed.
As the year's theme is gaming, how about John Truitt? Voiced Ghaleon in the LUNAR games.

I would die happy if Baozi and Hana were guests. I love them so much fffff-- ;u; <3
We really are bringing back guests from previous years cool!
I wonder if its too late to get DIO's voice actor and Jotaro's
I'd like to see Christina Valenzuela return next year and have Ali Hillis or Cherami Leigh as guests
