Sadly, only Fanime staff that does not assist with deciding Staff have replied to me all with efforts forwarding my emails on to places that I haven't heard back from. I'm not exactly sure where the buck stops? I submitted a Staff application twice, emailed 3 times to HR/Web, and messaged the Facebook. I just heard once more about 3 days ago that my email was again being forwarded on. Fingers very crossed I hear from them.

I have attended Fanime for over 10 years as well, we've probably seen each others' work! In recent years I have entered the hand painted glassware. What work did you have?

I have been offering to run the Fanime Art Gallery since February. I have art show coordination experience from set up, artist check-in, sales, to take down (in short, all of it). I still have the blank Fanime Control Sheets and Bid Sheets as well. Let me rock this!

I always preferred the MusciFest concerts that sort of went up in degree of music style...

Like the line up of Beautiful Losers to Nami Tamaki, to Duel Jewel, to BLOOD...you know from soft rock/easy listening to J-POP, to J-ROCK, to well you get the point.  I mix of all and keeping in that tempo so people who only care for certain styles had an idea of what time to show up to watch their fave music style.

"Dream" SUGGESTIONS:

Utada Hikaru
HYDE
Miyavi
Gackt
Dir En Grey
D'spairs Ray

Quote from: "kyo_kun0675"I posted was because I was under the impression that people wanted more Anime Cover bands to play at Fanime.

Isn't the real deal always better then the fake?

I'd like Fanime to go back to the bands a few years before where there was an awesome mix of Jrock, Jpop, and anime soundtrack-ness what with Duel Jewel, Nami Tamaki, and Beautiful Losers.  BLOOD was always fun too.

Or how about enlisting the peeps at Jrock Revolution which is having a concert May 25-26 with superb bands, like (frickin-amazingly) Miyavi.  Or Despairs Ray which were here before and, yay, an old fave, Duel Jewel.  (Offer them a bribe and fly them down for our sun-mon days...*hintHINT* I'm sure the fans would gladly pay for their flight and stay....)

Curious, when was this?
As that is not the given email on the website page.  Though I notice that this different email is lsited on the Contact page... the heck??

I'll try it though, thanks!

I've sent an email to [email protected] letting them know about Artist Colony being unresponsive & unorganized, so hopefully someone will check that email and be able to get someone to help all of us.

Maybe Artist Colony is short on help this year...??

Last year I remember checking in before noon, but you did NOT have to check in daily as the table is already reserved just for you.

And yes, PLEASE send me the contract.  I would very much appreciate that.

Thank You!

2 Things...

OK, where IS the Artist Colony Contract?? (since I have everything else, but have been waiting for this thing to be posted somewhere, only to find that others already have it somehow...)

I sent an email about 2 months ago and still haven't seen the chart or confirmation.  I am really worried now, espeicially since this post is now saying all tables are taken.  Was I passed over, my email deleted on accident or something??

This all seems scarily unorganized... I wish things would be up to date on the site and not having important "going-ons" in the forum that not everyone subscribes to...

(email: [email protected], please check to make sure you have information from this email)

I didn't care for Musicfest this year.  My fave year was 2004, more energy, more bands I had actually heard of, and the crowd was more into it.

I think if you are going to have such a variance in style like this year you should announce when each is going to play so people can pick adn chose when to show up for teh style of musci they actually like.
Like Goofy Style and the last act were more heavy rock and should have played one after another to keep the even energy flow of the crowd up.  I felt by the time the last act came on there wasn't much of a crowd left (including me...my ears hurt and actually BLED from the act before...the one with the freaky singer.)

I would like to see Duel Jewel return to Fanime as they were kind of a staple for Fanime for many years.  I miss them...  ;_;[/b]

Big Event Showcase / Former Perforamces
February 24, 2006, 08:46:44 PM
Former bands/singers that have come to the US that I enjoy are:

Duel Jewel
Nami Tamaki
Camino
T.M. Revolution
D'spairs Ray
Megumi Hayashibara

All of these were fun and I think most of these are realistic to have return to the U.S.

Other than that I'd love to see Utada Hikaru, or more J-rock bands!
