I support Oreskaband coming to Fanime 08, too. :33 It's definitely a step away from the conventional "jrock" that Tony said he'd try to move away from in another topic.

Also, would it be possible to get Poplar back? I'm sort of sad that I didn't appreciate their lives more back in Fanime 06. They're definitely better live than th CDe recording suggests. >.>

Big Event Showcase / FANIME BANDS
April 19, 2007, 09:37:19 PM
Due to some stroke of luck, my parents are letting me fly down to LA with a couple friends for a day and then flying up early after the concert, meaning I'll be able to get to Fanime and Musicfest on Saturday. :33

I won't miss Mechanical Panda's performance!!

Quote from: "Acid_Android"Well, wow I'm surprised that people haven't mentioned that the MusicFest guests have actually been announced on the Fanime page!!!

ZZ, Crack 6, MECHANiCAL PANDA, Karma Shenjing, and Mari Iijima~!

I'm sure you all are familiar with ZZ if you went to Fanime 2005, but for more info, check out these pages:

And they'll only be doing their show on Thursday night for those who pre-register before they head on to Anime North~!

Crack 6 is MSTR's (Chisato from PENICILLIN) project:

Karma Shenjing (well people already figured this one out, so it's not so much of a surprise):

That'd be fun~. Then went to ACEN before, didn't they? Maybe we can get them to come to Fanime this time around. =3333

I've been hoping for two years.

:D

But I don't know, they're pretty busy in Japan now, aren't they?

Woah, I'm on. xD Anyways, yeah, I'm pretty sure they are, but there's no penalty to hoping. :33

Hrm... Iunno... I would like all these big-named bands to come, but I'd rather be able to have more interaction with the indies bands that come (*cough*like this year?). Stage One was awesome. So maybe any indies bands? ^^

Thanks. =3

Quote from: "JapanFilesPress"How about LiN Clover, the rock band formed by Ren & Nao of GACKT fame?

Ah, Ren. I haven't heard anything of theirs before, although I would like to. *hint**hint*

I hope staff from Guest relations are looking at these posts. X3 We're already on page 7, and it's still August. oOo(^^)oOo (<=victory punches. XDD I know.. you can't really tell.) Gots a few moere suggestions:

Kannivalism: Project with Ryou and Kei from the disbanded baroque. I hope to see them with Kannivalism if not with baroque anymore. =3

Shimokawa Mikuni: She did a lot of the openings/endings for Full Metal Panic (Fumoffu?). Such a pretty voice.

I'd also like to see Guitar Vader make it to Musicfest next year. I was kinda sad about their unfortunate drop out. In terms of MusicFest bands, I personally think it should be a mix between popular and newer developing bands so that more attendees will be encouraged to attend. There are a number of attendees I know of that usually don't care for music, unless the bands are well known such as Gackt, so maybe if more people are lured into the event, the small crowd from this year will expand.

Though that's just a theory...

I think that your theory would actually work, if the bands were evenly distributed in terms of their turn in the actual concert (so that not a lot of people would leave right after "their band" finished playing).

We should try this out. =D

Yeah, I want to see Guitar Vader next year, too. Did their guitarist (or was it bassist?) get out of the hospital okay? =|

I heard that Karma Shenjing was going to pause their activities after their performance at Jrock Con. Does anyone know anything about this? =|

Furries in general are scary. *gag*

My friend wants me to be Teruki (An Cafe) from their Odoru Meruhen Tokei PV for J-Con, so if I do that, I'll most likely bring it to Fanime, too.

I also wanted to do Keiyuu (Kra) from their Extra Kingdom PV. I'll see how that turns out. Only thing I'm concerned about it the blonde hair (I don't like wigs). Maybe if I'm doing someone else with blonde hair, I'll be more willing to cosplay Keiyuu.

I might have my own designs, but that'll probably be in the show for my models (they're all taller than me, so it'll look better on them. =| )

Oh yay~. New fashion show topic. =D

Just to put what I put in the other post (as to keep things neat for me):

QuoteNe, if we're having this next year again, I don't think we should set a limit on how many outfits are required from each designer.

It's probably one of the few reasons some designers did not want to do the show.

Why don't we just have a however-many-you-want-to-make policy? It would be easier on a lot of people, especially those who are busy during the year, and more might be interested, as they don't have to invest all their time.

Forgot my 2 cents for the Poll. Personally, I think it should just be kept seperate. People go to Der Cosplay for the anime skits and such. Sure, there are walk-ons, but it seems as though many people are.. not particularly fond of those (especially if there are more than a dozen of them). Also, fashion shows seperate original designs from the regular copy-that-anime-outfit designs. So yeah.

Oh yeah, I was wondering if the show will still be in the same time slot as this year's show, or if we're planning on changing it.

I'm going to see if I can design again this year. Hopefully I can (as college applications are due in November, so I have time after that). However, I might not be able to make it to some of the group events (i.e. photoshoot, etc), but I have a friend who's mom is a pro-photographer. I'll just get photos of my line from her.

Also, I was wondering if it were possible to put my own music this time? XD It's just that I recently found the perfect song to go with my ideas, so I wanted to stick with it. Also, the models I'm bringing next year (if I do it, o' course) know how to put their own makeup on, as far as I know. And I'm picky about these things, so I was wondering if it were possible to allow my models to have makeup put on that's different from everyone else's (as we all know that all the designs will more or less depend on different colors and such).

I'm going with a sort of oriental look with spots of boldness sewn into the mix (for Japanese rock fans, sorta like kimono-clad Kagrra with hints of Kra/Alice Nine stuff thrown in). The music I was talking about (that I wanted to put in for my line) was Kra's "Renka". I just want to see if I can do it. XD No more vague themes for me~.

Nina: It's Amano Tsukiko girl. XD (If you didn't know already, I was the girl with the 8 brightly colored outfits from Fanime06) You should design! Hopefully we won't have the high clothing limit like last time. Jrock Con's fashion show's limit is going to be three to twelve, as an example.

Kazuko: You should model~. It's a fun experience, and there are only a couple meetings (as I know of) that are really necessary (such as first one to meet peoples and the photoshoot).

My friend would die out of happiness if Gazette came. XD

I'd die out of happiness if Kra did. =33

Oh yay~. I was thinking on doing this at Fanime (although I was hesitating to do so 'cause I... I'm insecure. lol). But this gives me incentive to do so!
