Disclaimer: Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

Okay might as well post now; will try to be there as Say'ri depending on when the gathering is! I actually have an FE:A group that I'm a part of and I think our current plans are to wear our stuff on Sunday, so if the gathering was on Sunday that would be great haha.

So the Google Doc is the results of the SURVEY which I posted the link for above. Make sure to fill it out with your preferred time and day! Once this survey closes, I'll post the results (which is the Google Doc). From there, it will still be editable for last minute changes.

Hey there! So just for everyone's clarification sake, the Google Doc is basically the excel sheet that will be produced after I close the survey. I'll post it as public information so that everyone can see the results!

Yes! Sunday is hectic for me (lovelive, magi) but I mean as long as its not directly the same time I WILL BE THERE (maybe with red eyebrows)

Hey there! sorry about no updating this - we are scheduled for 11:00 am Sunday morning at the Cesar Chavez Plaza. Even if you can't make it, check out the Google Doc to see what time the others are cosplaying as! You all are more than welcome to plan your own times! I remember last year, a group went to the bridge on the side of the Hilton to take pictures after.

Hello! It's Hakaru! How's everyone doing? Anyone else put a downpayment on FE: Fates yet?

As an update, I'll be in charge for the gathering again. I'm will be maid staff for Fanime 2016 this time as well so if possible - an assistant to volunteer and help me out with this would be greatly appreciated! 

I know there were a lot of suggestions last Fanime for this gathering. If anyone has any suggestions to make this gathering run smoother, please write them down here or PM me!

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been quiet. Seeing everyone's posts here is getting me super nervous! lol (also the announcement of the Fates 3DS as well).

Today they just announced an update to the hotel rooms so make sure you read it.

I'll update tonight with a google survey to gather a doc of preferred gathering times and day.

Hello everyone! I'm still here! Sorry I've been MIA. The way gatherings is being done is completely different this year (new staff) than what I'm used to for the past few years. Most of their updated communication is being done on FB. I WILL BE CLOSING THE VOTING POLLS FOR THIS GATHERING'S TIME & DATE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 31ST AT 12:00 AM MIDNIGHT. Friday, I will post the voted on time + date (although I still need to msg the gatherings' heads about my request). If it conflicts with anything other major gathering, I'll post that as well.

Sorry...I do try to post everything I can, as well as answer any questions here that I do over on FB, and I tried to make it the same information, different format so I can understand it clear on my end, and not make it confusing on your end. Hey Imperial. No problem. Actually, I like the move to FB and I do feel its faster and reaches more people - I just didn't realize that the forums have been changing (and I do agree with you that it doesn't reach the same demographics as before). I was just used to getting messages and updates through my personal messages inbox on here from gatherings staff. With Facebook however, being able to instantly msg you and vice versa, is something that I personally like and I can see that happening in the Fanimes Gatherings Page. Other conventions were already using FB as a means of communication so it's only natural that Fanime would start doing so.

That being said, not too much format wise/setup wise has changed from last year so I'm thankful for that.

So it looks like there are several that have already reached out to me concerning the conflicts. For those who've reached out to me, many want TO GO TO BOTH LOVE LIVE, SSB and FIRE EMBLEM~

With that being said, WE MAY HAVE TO GO TO A REVOTE in which WE DON'T PICK SATURDAY AS AN OPTION.

Let me know what you think.

As of 3: 17 pm - Saturday ~

Many people are saying Sunday so I'll give it like, evening ish so people can see what's going and then update accordingly. But yea, Sunday is highly likely :)

Yes! I would like to have a Saturday gathering too and with the poll I posted in this thread...people are asking for another one :) (unfortunately this second one would have to be an unofficial one, meaning it would not be endorsed or liable by Fanime, because we already have this as the official one. this is fine however)

If we have Saturday, then I would prefer a smaller one in a nice location off site of Fanime so we can get better/cooler shots. Towards the museum, past the Hilton hotel but on the same road, there's an over pass and under there are some cool places to take pictures. Past years, we had our members meet there for shoots.

What are your suggestions for time however? Since it's so bz during the afternoon, late evening is fine because I don't think the sun sets till at least 7 - 8?

Ahh, I wish I can meet up around noonish but I'm also a maid for Fanimaid and our live stage performance happens around 1 pm - 2 pm that Saturday. I also plan on attending on attending the Love Live gathering right after from 2 pm - 3 pm. Use this thread and the FB event page to find people who may want to meet up!

I know some of you mentioned that you wanted a second gathering? (The poll I put up here shows many want a second gathering).

Remember to use this space to meet each other outside of the gathering. Post when you'd like to meet up, where and what you're wearing so that maybe you can gather yourself a small group of cosplayers.

Unfortunately, with the way it's looking, I'm not available to host any other BIG gathering until late evening AFTER 6 pm (Saturday I'm doing the Shonen Jump gathering and Sunday I'm doing the All Idol gathering).

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ATTENDING!
This is Angelica, the host of this gathering. First and foremost, thank you everyone - cosplayers, guests, photographers for taking the time to attend such a LARGE gathering. I remember when it was just me and one more cosplayer (Azura) during last year's gathering only to see FATES BLOW UP!
I also want to use this time to apologize for many unforeseen things - me leaving because my sister's bag was stolen during the gathering, THE SPRINKLERS GOING OFF ON A SUNDAY, etc. etc.

I plan on working with the gatherings department more next year so as to implement new strategies, not only in this gathering, but in the other gatherings happening around Fanime.
BASICALLY JUST KNOW THAT I DON'T PLAN ON HAVING THIS GATHERING AT G10 anymore!!!! (I might have to make a poll on the future location of this gathering).

Can't wait to see everyone next year!

I ALSO WANT TO GIVE A BIG THANK YOU TO MY SECOND - MY ASSISTANT - WHO TOOK CARE OF THIS GATHERING WHEN I HAD THAT EMERGENCY! Make sure to thank him too! <3

***UPDATE MARCH 13, 2017***

Sorry it's taking a while to officially submit this gathering. Besides the last minute notice of formally submitting it as well as trying to give attendees more time in voting for a preferred spot+timeslot - I was also trying to find out if there were any updates on the sprinklers issue we had last year in the park. Due to the way gatherings are being submitted, we might have to go back to the park during that similar time slot (when the sprinklers came off). I want to avoid that as much as possible.

I am submitting this gathering today but if it comes to us moving to the park again, please be aware of this situation.

Hey there! Sorry I've been MIA from this - I've been in the process of training a few new people to take care of this gathering. There will be more than one person taking care of this gathering (I will be there but just to help!) You are more than welcome to host a separate smaller gathering on Sunday (lots of people plan smaller ones on every other day of Fanime! I think we've had people plan smaller ones on every day of Fanime weekend). Once you have your details down, you can also post on here to let people know of your gathering! (I saw some FE people go to the bridge/park area by the side of the Hilton, although that area was unofficial and out of the jurisdiction and protection of the con itself).

After looking at the official list (posted March 12), and taking into account of the Smash and Nintendo gatherings, I am thinking that there might be a push to have it on Saturday since many FE characters fall into those gatherings as well.

I will be posting more tonight so stay tuned!

haha, apologies for not being specific, I meant that I plan to host a different, non-fire emblem related gathering on Sunday, so having this gathering on Saturday would be great! Considering the other Nintendo gatherings being on Saturday, having this gathering on Saturday would make things much more convenient as well.

Sorry for being MIA. Due to like, there being no time, I have went ahead and submitted the application for this gathering.

Due to the Nintendo/most of the video game genre gatherings being on Saturday - THIS GATHERING WILL BE ON SATURDAY! It will be RIGHT AFTER THE FIGHTING & NINTENDO GATHERINGS! (Very convenient huh?)

WE WILL APPLY FOR THE TIME SLOT OF 3:30 PM. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME AVAILABLE FOR THE GATHERING AREA OF G6 (THE FALLOUT ZONE). (The only gathering happening at that time is Kingdom Hearts in another area).

It's my first time doing a FE cosplay and I'd absolutely hate to cancel because it conflicted with the gathering I'm running (Saturday afternoon).

It's usually been held on Sunday (it's been held on Sunday for the past two years). I've held it once before on a Saturday like three/four years ago.

Also from the looks of the poll - it's pushing for Sunday so hopefully, this doesn't conflict with any of your plans :)

Yes! So this year, due to the increase of gatherings - instead of what I usually do where we vote for a time, place, location etc. - I've just gone ahead and applied for a Sunday slot as usual.

Because we are an anticipated group thats always large - I do have priority in the sense that the Cosplay Gatherings Department/Head has the right/authority to change/adjust the list accordingly in order to accommodate everyone.

Also I know the girl/host in charge of the Three Houses and we both agreed it would be a good idea this year to try to break it up to see if it alleviates the issues I've been having with this gathering having so many people are not being able to accommodate everyone.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I encourage everyone to go to both gatherings!
