if no live cooking demonstrations, how about a break down of popular anime meals(ingredients & techniques) with a Q&A.
maybe go over cooking basics and/or healthy-ish eating panel?
(gosh i could give so much material for this, hahaha.)
This seems like a pretty good alternative!

I don't have a lot of experience selling figures, but from my own experience buying online there's a ton of options when it comes to selling.
I've had the most positive experiences on E-Bay. I've had a bit of a mixed bag when it come to Amazon Marketplace (Mostly good, but there was one time that I almost got ripped off with some
defective merch from an overseas vendor).
A lot of those sites have a lot of tools to help setup a store so it should be pretty easy. Good luck!👍

So, reviving this because it is a great testament to the fact that there's SO MUCH MORE stuff out there nowadays and as we all get older with adulting and stuff, slowly decreasing amounts of time to watch Anime.

I'm going to keep it down to my Top 5, because I could list stuff all day:

5: Konosuba
4: Re:Zero
3: Golden Kamuy
2: Your Name
1: Yuri on Ice!

Post your lists!!!

Well, I got one off the list! Yuri on Ice was fantastic, and I loved ever minute of it! I really hope MAPPA comes back to it!

Gaming / Fall/Winter Gaming!
November 02, 2019, 04:45:49 AM
We got a busy Fall/Winter Gaming Season this year!

October saw the release of the Shadowkeep Expansion for Destiny 2 as well as the continuation of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise. November is looking to be busy as well, with the release of Pokémon Sword/Shield and the long-awaited, very mysterious Death Stranding.

What are some games you're looking forward to? What are you all playing right now?

There was a Jojo themed one in 2018, how did that one turn out?

Right! I remember hearing about that! I'm not too into Escape Rooms, so I passed on it that year. Though I am curious how that would've played out.

It'd definitely be cool! I know I've heard of panels like this at other conventions so it should be possible to set something up! Anyone have any ideas?

Food is a major no no as it was explained once before by the hosts of stage zero.

It essentially boils down to legality reasons why they can't personally serve food.

That makes sense. You'd be opening yourself up to a lot of liability issues if you can't 💯 guarantee the food quality.

Still, I'd be cool to have a guest that is centered around the theme of cooking though, given this years theme.

Bump for this!

I'd love to see an Art Show/Showcase again! I see them at other cons all the time, so why not Fanime!? Granted, you have it right that's it's a huge undertaking to organize, curate and critique to make sure the art displayed is up to a certain standard, but I'd think it'd be well appreciated!

I got mine the first day, too! Aww yeah! Already psyched for next year! 👍

Bump

Wishing you good luck on your search! I know how tough it can be sometimes when your trying to find cosplay photos in all the corners of the internet! 😫

Wish I could help! I really wish they would keep the artist alley listings available for a couple of weeks after the con. I ran into a similar problem with a seller in the dealer's hall. Best of luck!

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Hotel stay 2019 feedback
June 22, 2019, 06:20:15 AM
Okay here we go!

Hotel: Hyatt Place

Pros:

Self Parking: Having the convenience of being able to park your vehicle at your leisure is fantastic!

Location: Just a hop, skip and a jump across the street from the main entrance to the convention center!

Room: I had a good sized room that was clean. There was an issue with the ceiling in the bathroom, but I notified the staff about it and they were aware of the issue.

Breakfast: I know the whole rewards program = free breakfast thing is a little strange, but for a single guy staying alone in a room, it worked out perfectly! The breakfast options were plentiful and provided a much needed energy boost for the day!

Cons:

Food: Other than breakfast, there's really no good options at the Hotel. You do have to go off-site to get food, which is okay. There's options around, they're just a bit of a walk away.

Ice: Ice was only available at the front desk, which was odd and only a slight annoyance.

Overall, I highly recommend the Hyatt Place. A great stay for Fsnime!

Dealers Room / Recycled Manga Notebooks Dealer
May 30, 2019, 08:33:09 AM
Hey all!

First off, I had a great time this year at Fanime!

Now to the main question. I'm trying to find the name of the dealer in the Dealers Hall that was selling the Notebooks with the recycled manga pages for the covers. They were adjacent to the Food Court and set next to Pewter City Trading Co. I thought I had their card (I even bought a bookmark from them and still forgot their info  :-\). Can anyone help a guy out?

Thanks!

That'd be nice! Usually, that weekend is the start of the Summer Weather and it's as hot as all heck!
