I haven't quite yet, but probably will fairly soon.

The reservations can be changed or cancelled, it makes more sense to snag one early and then make changes if you absolutely need to later, rather than waiting for all your plans to be 100% finalized.

I've got mine.  We stayed at the Marriott the past two years, but the prices for the rooms (for the number of people per room) were a little better at the Hilton (I think $109 vs $119) so we'll be at the Hilton in 2007.  The only possible downside is that we'll be at the other end of the convention from the video programming rooms so I'll have to walk further.  Or else just stay in the video rooms all.  night.  long.

Really only need a place to sleep and shower ...

Reserved a double for the Marriott. Stayed there for the last two years, and liked it, so doing it again.

Yeah I grabbed a room at the Hilton this year.

I like where the Mariot is located better but they don't have a deal for a single bed room for the time period I am staying (arrive Thursday and depart Tuesday). Which is weird because they have deals for double bed rooms for the same time period.

It's ok though because the Hilton is cheaper anyways and I might be going it alone this year.

Fortunately you can change your reservation easily so if one of my friends end up going I will switch.

The video programming is still on the Marriott side, but we're going to have some of our biggest events on the Hilton side of the con this year. We're using the Hilton-side rooms a LOT more.

Uh-oh... I've said too much already

I regretfully booked the 2-bed room at the marriot. If the fanime con website had the suites this year, we would have done that. ;.;

Last year was so much cooler with the suites...

Have you tried calling the 1-800 number? Maybe the people at the housing service have a few aside, or could arrange something?

I still need to decide whether I want a King Bed or the Two Bed thing. And I need to figure out my plan for having a roomate or two.
I'm going back to the Hilton.

*squints* Using them a lot more... yet as far as I could tell last year there were plenty if not the majority of the rooms on the Hilton side in use... hmm... What could this mean...

I know what it means! Longer Starbucks lines! Noooo~!

If anyone's looking to book at the Hilton, I'd seriously recommend doing it right effing now. The King rooms are all full if you're staying till the 29th, and according to the woman I spoke to on the phone (who was very helpful) there's only a couple of doubles left. I'd been planning on a King, but I went for the double, rather than waiting and risking it.

O_O

Holy crap!  Not that I'd be staying until the 29th, but... damn! I'm glad I reserved my room a couple weeks ago... I never would have imagined them to fill up that quickly. @_@  Thanks for the heads-up... I didn't think we'd be getting those "Sold out!" alerts from Snorlax and co until like March/April again. XD

I was really surprised it filled up so fast, honestly. And I'm sad I couldn't get a king room, the extra $30 a night is gonna mess with my budget pretty badly. :( Not to mention I've never slept in such a huge bed and I was rather looking forward to it, hehe.

There are still rooms available for people who plan to check out on the 28th, so maybe that'll help some people. I'm just flying so far east I have to leave quite early in the morning, and I didn't want to miss the entire last day of the con, so I have to fly out on the 29th.

They do have a waitlist though, and if they book another block of rooms at your choice hotel, you've got first dibs. So if anyone can't get the room they want through the website, you can always call the 800 number and ask to be put on a waitlist for the room/hotel of your choice.

Do you actually have to pay for the whole cost of the hotel room? If I'm staying at the Marriot. << I've never really done this before. Or do you just reserve it with your credit card and pay when you leave. <<?

They don't charge you until you check in or out, depending on the hotel. But the reservation doesn't cost anything right now.

Anyone know why if you say there are only two people in your group and you want double beds, you can get into the Hilton, but if you say there are 4, you can't?

Actually, scratch that, now it isn't showing it. =_=

Well, have fun. I once planned for 4 nights and on a whim cancelled the last night. Regretted it afterwards because I was tired as hell and forced myself to stay up through the GitS marathon.

It's much nicer having a room for all 3 nights of the con. The night before isn't as vital though.

Although...they have been doing prelimenary stuff. ^^

A Quad at teh Saint Claire. Gots one roomie. $100 a night, free internet, weeee~

4 nights, $200 per person. Cannot beat that.

And yes, I made the poll 50-50!

It's my second fanime, and let's just say that I can tell stories to my grandkids about the nights at the fanime of 05.

I don't see the Suite option...I wanted to change.

Don't tell me they're gone already? *cries*

EDIT: Nevermind, found them.

Booked 2 Suites. ^^

However, how come it only shows up if you have 2 roommates? I thought they could fit 4 people in a suite?

I was wondering that too.. but then I just sort of looked the other way and took the "don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer too"

So we should totally have a suite party with all of our suites.

One of the suites is going to have my sisters' and their friend, the other one is for myself and 3 other buddies.

Maybe we'll all be on the same floor. That'd be cool. ^^

There are rooms opens now, 4-21-07 for all the hotels, seems there was several people who were holding double reservations that cancelled.

Craige...
