The form won't be used this year. I'll take on the task of organizing and sending departments individual feedback.

Please structure your feedback so it's easier for me to get the feedback to the proper departments. (No walls of text...bullet points would be great/preferred but not required).

Ideally structured this way:

Bullet Point 1
Bullet Point 2
Bullet Point 3

But if you require more explanation

Summary paragraph 1 on issue 1

Summary paragraph 2 on issue 2

This helps me organize it and that it gets sent to the proper people.

Thanks,

Wow...the gall of some of these people is...amazing. To grab you and tell you he masturbates to your photos is shocking and disturbing.

On the back of every badge, there are phone numbers. If somethings happens to you, report it right away while it is still somewhat memorable in your memory. We do take harassment very seriously! The more you report these incidents, the more we can catch these creeps!

Thanks,

We'll take your feedback into consideration!

*Takes staff hat off* - One of the side effects of having kicked linecon's ass for two years straight now is that attendees have more free time to do other things. It's a blessing and a curse ;).

Cause I know some of you definitely have them. Post them all here!  ;)

I have plans on returning back to the con. But I'm NOT paying 450$ For just one night of a hotel. I've made some back up plans by booking a hotel room at the Fairmount and The Saint Claire (soon be known as the Westin hotel)  for the next memorial day weekend because I do want to return and I DON'T want a hotel that's so far away from the convention center. Seriously who would pay that much for 1 night!? I don't know about you but even booking a hotel at Anime Expo is CHEAPER then what you get at Fanime! While I couldn't book the hotel I want at AX through their website. I was easily able to book a hotel room from the hotel's official site. And each night is around 350$ While it's expensive as heck and I REALLY wish I could have gotten a discount this year. It's still worth it because that's much I think AX is worth going too. Booking the Fairmount for Fanime without booking it through Fanime's website costs as much as a night's stay at The Ritz Carlton's in L.A. and quite frankly I admit enjoyed this year's fanime and the convention is going to the right direction that it's winning me over to not switch to a different convention. But really? 450$ A night for a convention like Fanimecon? I don't think so.

And while I booked a hotel at the Westin as well for 260$ a night without fanime discount that's still pushing it. That's the maximum I think anybody should pay really. Speaking of which... has anybody stayed at the Saint Claire before? If so have you experienced anything haunted at your stay there? While I know the Saint Claire is going to turn into a new hotel. I'm scared it might be still haunted even with renovation... it probably explains the price tag during the memorial day weekend...

I have stayed at the St. Claire on two occasions. First occasion, I was upgraded to a Suite and it was a pretty nice one with a fireplace and everything. Second time was a standard 2 bed room. Nothing super fancy. Elevators are quick though...and stairs are not difficult here.

If you don't book within our housing blocks, I'm afraid that the hotel charges what they feel is a fair price for the weekend and unfortunately that means the few rooms we don't take can go for much higher than their normal daily rate.  An example would be the MGM Grand on Fight Weekend (Manny vs. Mayweather) as those rooms were going for thousands a night when they normally would be 100 dollars a night. Hopefully next year you are able to get a room through our housing blocks. Alternative is to get rooms nearby the DoubleTree Hotel. Shuttles run quite often and I saw quite a few people utilize them.

Our last years numbers were roughly 27,000 and we are north of that :).

My plan is to have more sleep for FanimeCon 2016!

And work more than I have ever before :)

I would advise you to go to FanimeCon's registration area and ask. Unfortunately we don't have many staff members monitoring the forums while the convention is going on.

Thanks,

Registration / Re: Upgrading passes

Walk to the registration area and ask. Unfortunately not many staff members are checking forums currently as we are all busy with our events.

Thanks!

24 hours until Monday's closing ceremony.

I'm actually curious as to why people think we get paid to do this...lol.

It's purely volunteer...some nice perks here and there but no compensation.

This is amazing in every way. I remember it different since I was in different positions but...awesome :D

That my dear, was nothing more than "passing the buck" type of response.
Passing the buck is the act of attributing one's own responsibility to someone else.  Her limited function on this forum has been made clear.  This wasn't her responsibility.

I think my post and Sumari's got the idea across, I seriously don't want this to turn into a finger pointing match from here on out. Please remain on topic.

p.s. I am a he, not a she.

Hah!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll bring this up at our post-con meetings.

Does that mean I have to resume my tyranny here on the boards?

Yes, Eric took over the tyranny when you became chair. Time to switch back ;)

We do not call our dances "Raves" but if you are referring to a large dark damp room in which hundreds of sweaty people dance to house, trance, and other types of music that is indeed our Dance that is held every year. ;)

General Convention Discussion / Re: App?
May 21, 2014, 11:10:58 AM
The android application should be updated but that relies heavily on when the Google Play admins approve our latest changes.

Link to the reg FAQ is broken when you try to navigate from the guests of honor page: http://www.fanime.com/guests-of-honor/registration-faq

Edit: Yeah, broken whenever you try to get to it from anything but the main page.

I've submitted this to our web development team.
