Hey!  Last year (or it might have been the year before?)  there was a drag show at Fanime in one of the panels rooms, and it was really fun! I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about it coming back this year?  I think last time it wasn't on the schedule, but I found it because I just happened to walk by the room and there was a sign posted for it

Just got the email with my priority booking window assignment,  Wednesday the 18th at 7am.  I'm guessing a lot of people have this same window, since I'm sure a lot of people did the same thing I did and registered as soon as registration went live?

Hotel and Facilities / Stocking up on food in your room?

Hey guys!  My friends and I want to stock up on food in our hotel rooms to save money on meals.  Last year we brought stuff for sandwiches and that worked out pretty well, but I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions?  We're staying in the Hilton, so we get a mini fridge, but not microwave.

Just wanted to let you know that Toys Logic (a local East Bay anime goods shop located in Concord) is having their semi-annual "Go Figure" event next weekend (on April 27th 2013).  The owners of the shop are awesome, they're huge anime fans and run a great shop so let's all go and support them at this event!

Incredible Stuff I can Make / Handmade Plushies!

Hi everyone,

I make plushies!  Here's a Flareon plushie that I made to accompany my Flareon(ish) cosplay from another convention






This Flareon plushie and a few other plushies that I have made are in need of new homes, so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in adopting one (for a small fee of course!) and picking them up at Fanime 2013?  They make great cosplay accessories and even better cuddle buddies!

Hi, I've never participated in the Fanime karaoke contest but I was thinking of trying it this year.  Is there anything a first time participant really needs to know?  Also, I was wondering, do you get to see the lyrics while you perform during the contest, or do you have to memorize your song?

Registration / Registering for friends?

Hi, I'm planning to attend the full weekend for Fanime 2013, but I have a few friends who are only coming for one day (friday or saturday).  My question is this, can I get in the reg line and buy my friends' badges for them before they get there?  And if yes, can I do this on Day 0 when I pick up my badge, or do I have to do it on the same day they will be attending?

I really hope it is possible for me to buy my friends' badges, because the horrible reg line that we had to wait in at Fanime 2012 was so bad that they don't want to attend 2013
