J-rock and rock overall, eurobeat/dance, hyper techno/techno, trance, etc. Dance music in general, I guess.

Anything by Kaori Yuki and Mitsukazu Mihara. The Earl Cain Series/Godchild was particularly my most loved.

Ugh, I wouldn't recommend buying an outfit from a vendor since they're usually lower quality (however, there are some specialty places that do a decent job or have brand-name clothing) and are over-priced. Pretty much all of the costumes that I have seen at cons can be easily made for a lot cheaper. Additionally, the costumes are all unique and so the person would probably want to try it on before purchasing.

One memory from this past year: I walked through a place selling Bodyline and h. Naoto clothing and a girl was trying on one of the dresses. Sure, the dress was cute and all, but she couldn't zip the back up even half-way because she was too large (or perhaps, the dress was made for a thinner person...). That said, it's important to check before you buy, especially with no-return policies.

I can't say I've been working hard on any of my games lately (ahh, the joys of summer night class), but I have started back up on Radiant Dawn. Unfortunately, after a certain point in time of playing SSBB online and kicking major @ss, I went into a hiatus state and never fully returned from it. Now, my brother plays nearly everyday and I have yet to go back. :/

Surprisingly, I tend to spend only around $200-$300. However, I was a bit disappointed in the vendors and their products this past year so I don't think I even spent $100.  :o Most of my money is saved for AX and Kinokuniya in LA/SF, so I have to ration it all out.

Dave Rodgers. Mega NRG Man. Cherry. Go2 (Ace and Fastway). Domino. Franz Tornado. Bazooka Girl. ad nauseum.

(Yes, I know this is unlikely. Yes, I know Avex hasn't allowed Eurobeat artists to perform on North-American soil yet. Still... if there were ANY means of getting this to happen, Fanime would have my GUARANTEED attendance next year.)

Haha, I'm with you ;D

All in all realistically, it's hard to say what I'd request since it's difficult to get anyone out here period. Too bad there wasn't just a list of possibilities where people actually have access to in terms of connections, information, etc.

Ooh, dA panel...so they're finally coming out and attending cons after AX, huh?  ;) Haha, and I guess they supposedly got threatened by the admins 3 times to be shut down for reasons unknown...

Anyway, I'd really like to attend a parapara/techpara/torapara one. After all of these years that I've been con-going, I've surprisingly never made it a go. But hey, it's never too late to start, right?

Akiba > any con in terms of swag, so my trip to japan this year was the highest tier on that aspect. :P

Anyway, since I didn't go to AX this year (which was replaced by said trip), I'll say it's definitely who you hang out with that determines how much fun I have IMO. A con can have the best guests in the animeverse, but it will still suck if you go alone. In a sense, I can't really put AX above Fanime, or vis versa since I got to hangout with cool people either way. ;o

On a side note, didn't Yoko Ishida come to this year's AX? BAAAAAAAAWWWWW

Yes, she did. She also attended AX some years ago too (can't remember which one >_< ).

Haha, I have a habit of collecting random stuff. I don't know why I buy things sometimes, but it's just in my nature, I guess. Figurines, trading cards, Precure goodies, etc. aaahhh I'll just try not to think of the money I used on this junk XD

General Anime Chat / Re: Your Otaku Origins

I'm not exactly an otaku, but my interest roots go back to the very beginning XD Before I was in grade school, I of course watched all of those series shown on cable like Sailor Moon and Speed Racer (haha), but I also have an old and dusty copy of Bubblegum Crisis on VHS! Later on, I started watching Yu Yu Hakusho in 1st grade and things just got rolling even more from there ;D

I hardly took any pictures, but of what I got, I only uploaded some of them...I'll have to get back to the others in the future. Additionally, I have a handful of AX too, but once more, they will have to wait. However, I may get lazy and forget, so someone bug me @W@

I'm still officially undecided, so everything is subject to change. However, what I have in mind for a brainstorm...Ashelotte (SC 4) and a (or multiple) Fire Emblem characters depending on if I can get others to join me for a group; Nephenee, L'Arachel, Soren, Limstella, etc. Hmm, but I've been looking around for a new anime series to watch for interesting outfits also and am currently having no luck

There's always good and bad for both. For me, it was just nice to return to Fanime since I skipped it last year because I was so busy with school work ;_;

AX's lines are always going to be long, but it's pretty much a must to pick up badges on day 0 so that you can just wait to get into the place the next day. Last year and the year before that's registration system was bad...sending them out was chaos because people received their badges late (or not at all) and it added to the mess of printing them out in a separate line because of it. I have to say though, this year was good with the bar code scanning and all because that made it a lot quicker :)
