So I heard you like Swimming?
Well why not have an amazing gathering then! Presenting the Iwatobi High first annual Fanime gathering! Thats right, a gathering! (Even if we are hoping for a second season.)
I will be your host, (If we get the gathering) and we will have wonderful photoshoots and even a mini game with a prize~
If anyone is interested pleaseeeeeee post below and the person you will be cosplaying as.

ATTENTION: Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

I'm planning a Gou cosplay! I might have a group, too?  Don't know for sure yet.

If it doesn't clash with the Kuroshitsuji gathering(and due to recent change in my Fanime plans), I might be there as fem! Rin Matsuoka! ^^ And I might just have a Haruka, too. ;P

I'll be Arabian Rin for Fanime, if everything goes according to plan. If not I'll be regular Rin.

Well, if it can't be moved, I suppose I could skip the Kuro tea event after the gathering and just change into Rin for this. We shall see how that goes, though.

I have to ask. Is this gathering confirmed? I don't see it at the list of "official" gatherings.

Even if there isn't an official gathering it'll be nice to have some place to meet fellow Free! cosplayers and people to talk to.

do we know where wer all meeting up? If not i vote by front of the convention center and then make are way to the water fountains in the small park a block away!

Hey, I'm looking for help from someone who cosplays Rei or has experience with colored contacts. I'm looking for violet contacts that would work with light blue-green eyes. I'd like something that won't obviously show my natural color in the center depending on how dilated my eyes are but will still be opaque enough to show that bright vibrant violet color. Basically I'm looking for as natural as you can get with violet contacts. They need to be prescription because I need vision correction and I'd like 14.5 mm diameter or less because I'm not trying to make my eyes look bigger. If any Rei cosplayers could suggest a brand/product that you have used that would be great! (reference photos appreciated)

I have blue eyes and I know how hard it is to try and get contacts that work with lighter colored eyes without showing too much iris. Pinky Paradise has been pretty good for me, and they have a wide selection to choose from. They're not as cost effective as some sites I've been to, but the quality is pretty good. I've not done violet/purple contacts before, so I can't tell you which ones worked best for me in those colors; but I generally find contacts that have 3 layers of pigmentation work well for my eyes without impeding my sight (coming from someone who wears glasses all the time... instead of being just blurry, everything is blurry + color tinting).
You could also try samhain contacts, they're a little higher in price as well; but again, the quality is there, and well worth the investment.

Thanks for the advice! I looked at Pinky Paradise but their selection of lenses with vision correction seems very limited. I've liked Honey Color's selection so far but it's still hard to tell from the dark eyed models what would work well for me. But I'll keep tri-colors in mind. Ah, I completely forgot about honeycolor. They do have some really great contacts. I have an astigmatism in both eyes, so finding colored vision correcting contacts (toric lenses in my case) in colors other than natural tones is next to impossible for me; I usually just say "Oh well" and buy plain contacts. Out of the ones you linked, I think the first or the third will be good choices.
