My list of cosplays are:
Izumi Curtis~FMA ~ 85% done (down to the wig!!! Yeah!!!)
Larva~Vampire Princess Miyu 100% done costume and Prop is 85% (*giggles Yeah I have a cool prop coming this year!!!)
There is also going to be an AC :twisted: DC Gathering Saturday at Noon.

As long as you clean your costume (Febreeze, handwash, machine wash, whatever), use deodorant, and shower reguarly, no, it isn't weird. Not everyone can pull together multiple costumes - hell, I'm having trouble with three, and I've been working on them for nearly a year now.

Haven't seen much for amano or fatal frame, but you could try making one or see if someone does a broader gathering? Last year there was a Shounen Jump gathering so that allowed for other cosplayers to join into a gathering when there wasn't one for who they were cosplaying, or if they missed their gathering and could make the Shounen Jump. Just a thought... keep me posted if you come up with anything ^^) good luck!!!

There is a Dynasty Warriors Gathering and I'm attending it. I'm doing his main costume the blue one. Oh how much I love the dark blue. It's going to be awesome. I'm going to get the weapons done too. I'm so excited...
Ohh a Lien Swim Suit version?? Hmm... I might do it XD Sounds interesting if I think about it. I really have to see if I am out to actually wear the bathing suit if I make it. Because I'm still even weary about wearing DOAX XD. But I'll see. I have to see if I can make it. But I'll keep you posted about that.

Here's an IDEA... How about at Yaoi Con this year... We'll just make it an annual event... SNK vs Capcom swimsuit shoot ~~P That way you will be all slim from the summer and ready to pig out for the holidays *giggles

Try doing the threads here on the Fanime boards and see what kind of response you get. Also check out the Consplayers.Com forum boards and the Cosplay.com forum for Fanime. There may be something in there that works and all you have to do is post in the thread that I have on the other boards. ^^)

My Cao Pi costume defintally will be awesome~ I'll see if I will be going to Yaoi con this year. It's still like I might go one day this year... We can do a bathing suit shoot for Fanime if you want. I am planning to do a bathing suit version of Lien. :) I'll see if you are still doing the bathing suit photoshoot. :p

Heya! My names Madison, I'm new here... And to the world of cosplaying, to be truthful. Fanime will be my first cosplay EVER! *dances* I'm so excited I can barely stand it! I can only go for one day during the weekend though, what day should I go? Anyone know if one day is better to wander around in costume, shopping, taking pictures, ect? Saturdays are always the best... But it wouldnt be the end of the world if I switched my work shift from sunday to saturday. blah.
Anywho, I'm going as a Gothic Lolita. I think lolita costumes are GORGEOUS! I only have my shirt so far, but I have all my ideas sorted out, I'm just trying to find good stuff and a good price... Ebay is my savior, x.X' . Im actually going with my girlfriend, Jill, and we are going to be Fanime's (soon to be famous, mind you!) Lesbian Lolitas! WOOT. Should be fun. I'm sure many people will want our picture ;) not that we mind in the slightest. Camera whoring is our specialty. Muahahaha. If anyone has some lolita stuff they want to sell, or knows a good place to get some stuff (or to get materials to make something) please let me know!

last year was my first convention ever :D and i think the best day you should go is Sunday....there will be a few gatherings then and you get to catch Der Cosplay! Which I had a blast watching last year :D

well i dont know about that, i didnt get to do a whole lot when i went last year so i can say for sure, but most people are going to be coming at least on Friday, except maybe a few pre-registered people coming on thursday for some events for them. I would say if they dont come Friday it would be Saturday.
saturday is always better for me to do stuff, personally, because i have work from 9-5:30 usually on sunday. but i could always switch it to saturday that weekend. i'll wait and see what some other people think, if i should come on saturday or sunday. I just want to cruise around with my friends in costume, take pictures, buy some stuff, and make a bunch of new friends! :D
p.s. here's a picture of the only stuff i have for the costume so far... the shirt, and skirt.

Welcome Madison!!! If you can only come one day I would also recommend either Saturday or Sunday. Look at what you would like to do and then pick the day to attend. Last year they moved the Cosplay/Masqurade to Sunday and the year before they had a concert on Sunday. That doesn't mean that you should just choose Sunday. Last year if you wanted to be in the Cosplay/Masq. then you needed to attend the Saturday meeting and rehersal was Sunday morning. There is so much to do that only one day is never enough time to do it all. If some how you could swing Saturday & Sunday then I think you would have the most fun. I'm going to be going as one of my webcomic characters. I bow before anyone who has the money or time to make really spiffy elaborate outfits^^
I should be dressing as Inuyasha, Toboe and Hige from Wolf's Rain, Scar and possibly Edward from FMA. If anyone knows about gatherings for these series I would appreciate knowing about them. I know there is one for FMA but I'm not sure if I'll be able to go to that one... very complex stuff :)

i'm thinking of going as a persocom *shrinks* i know that in general people don't like that series, but honestly, i'm way too perfectionist to actually pretend to be a specific character, just being a general persocom lets me exercise my fun individuality, and this is my first ever convention anyways, i figured i could do something safe but fun the first time around, like lace victorian one day, schoolgirl the next... plus, chi is waaay too skinny and short for me and honestly, who wants to wear a horrendously long and tangly wig for 72 hours? ^.^ cheers!
I'll be there with a lineup of Naruto costumes... bringing Sai, Sasuke (both outfits, maybe... it depends on how the black outfit turns out), timejump Sasuke (another maybe), ANBU Sasuke, and my Orochimaru friend requested I go as Kimimaro if she makes the costume. :o

Awww... jingko... When my daughter and I started doing this last year we both agreed that some gatherings are small but how small is small... so we decided 3 peeps would be a good start for an official gathering. So if you only have 3 peeps that's ok.
I am also going to post the gathering list at Fanime. I talked to a couple of people and they couldn't get it into the program this year so I asked if I could have it posted in different locations at Con. They said I could so... You may get more people to show up that you weren't expecting. I think we should just leave it for now. Make sure that You have a location and a meeting place though so it can be on the master list for con. OK?

I have mentioned for about a month that I wanted all the gatherings confirmed that had ? or TBA listed. I had 9 gatherings two weeks ago that fell under that. Today there was only three. For what ever reason I did not hear from anyone for those three. As for the One Piece gathering I asked them to come to the "Jump" gathering and represent One Piece. If 3 or more OP cospeeps would like to redo their time and have a MP and a Location then I will repost it, but make sure that it is posted here ASAP. I will not be updating the thread after the 24th because I will be getting ready to leave and I will have the master copy of the gatherings already done.
Hellangel: You shouldn't have any poblems joining the CLAMP gathering, but I'll pop over to Cosplay and ask if you want?

I just wanted to tell all of you thank you for posting your info for the gatherings list. I hope that it went better this year than last year.
Speaking of better... *giggles I am running a poll for feedback and info called 2007 Fanime Gatherings List. Please take the time to vote and post your comments and suggestions so that next years gathering list is even better.
Now that I have a little sleep under me I looked at the count on pics... (WOW!!!) it looks to be around 1700.... I need one more day at least to recoup and I will hopefully get over the slight fever I have. Lack of sleep and hard work will do it every time.
