Hi! I'd like to come to the lolita gathering this year, only coming to Fanime on sunday... sadly. ): I'm really nervous about showing up because it would be my first time dressing in lolita EVER. O_O

Well since they announced Mists of Pandaria last Blizzcon, I think they feel like they have nothing to offer us. Also, they're working on Project Titan, MoP, and D3. They really really need to get on the MoP release because Cata has been out since Dec 10', usually they wait ~18ish months before a new expansion. A blue post also said that it wasn't supposed to be guaranteed yearly, but it ended up being annual for the last 5 years. It just stinks because people were expecting it (it would have been my first Blizzcon!) and then got let down. Sad really.

My boyf and I were planning on attending blizzcon instead of fanime this year and dun dun dun blizzcon gets canceled. UGH RAGE. Now I want to go to fanime, but is there enough time to get everything ready?! D:

I wish I would have gone to tea, just that due to mild claustrophobia, the number of cosplayers in one area made me feel dizzy, hot, and sick. So I had to leave ): I had fun being Lizzie, and I hope the gathering next year is more like the 09-10 one with less people!

O_O I don't know if you've been on the bottom level of the con center, but it's a huge place. There was plenty of room for ~30 people taking pictures and all the Kuro cosplayers. It's literally right where you walk into the place.

Yeah, sorry I was just trying to keep it together because with less than a month to go, I was panicking.

We need to decide on a time within the week tbh. I don't care if it's 2-3 or 5. Up to everyone here.

Saturday is right in the middle of the con, so I don't think there should be an attendance problem. I prefer Saturday because with other gatherings and the masquerade on Sunday, it's really busy. Up for discussion though, guys just post your opinions :D

I don't know about the Fairmont, I think I remember something being posted about hotels not enjoying having their lobby crammed full of 30+ people (and Kuro looks like it'll be bigger this year and the Fairmont lobby is tiny). We could do concourse patios, there's shade, tables and chairs! Or we could use a picnic spot and have people bring blankets to sit on. :3

Also, I'm bringing little tea cookie things : D

It seems like Kuroshitsuji is sticking around for the usual 3pm time on Sunday.

It's actually not too busy in the lobby at 3. Last year was perfect because a lot of people could see us and it has great photo space! c:

PLEASE Hell for the love of god, confirm it with Bsaphire in the in the official list or there's no gathering. I love this gathering to death and it makes me a bit uneasy that it has already taken this long to hash out a meeting time when we had first priority! I know we all have real lives, but it only takes what... 5 minutes of time to contribute and this could have been done months ago. /endrant

The gathering was fine, tea on the concourse patio was not. Less than 1/3 of the people showed up because it wasn't defined that we were to meet there.

I loved having it in the Fairmont lobby, but I don't know the size of those attending, so they might not be welcoming to a large group. We could have it on the patio if everyone is informed ahead of time and we all head up at the same time!
