I didn't realize that the gathering list cutoff is tomorrow! So I gave us a meeting spot of G1, inside the convention center to the left side, and a photo spot of G8a, outside to the left. Is that okay? :)

I'm already registered, but I'm curious what the sign-up count is like/how full Swap Meet is now. Usually there's a list of who's in, and I miss it this year! Haha.

Okay cool, is there anyone like vastly opposed to a noon gathering? :)

Also, any ideas on where to actually have the gathering? Haha.

Woohoo! This is my first anime con that I'll have my 3DS at and I'm excited! I'll have both my American & Japanese 3DS systems on me, though I only really check StreetPass tags with the American one. :) I'll have a Fire Emblem team to send out, and hopefully I'll be better at keeping it updated.

So.. Everyone bring your 3DS with you! :D

I just returned from a vacation in Japan.  In the two weeks I was there, I more than doubled my Mii Plaza population after two years of owning a 3DS in America.  It was really tough to keep up with it, especially riding the trains around Tokyo!  90% of them were playing Animal Crossing - New Leaf.  (new population total - 885)

Japan was a StreetPass goldmine, oh man. I wish I had thought to check mine more often, but I still got plenty. Definitely like 50-100 passes a day. Best places were Akihabara (of course) and Tokyo DisneySea! Filled in almost every prefecture in Japan by the end of the trip, haha.

I just looked at the gathering map and ... huh. I don't really know where to put us!

I wanted to be outside, but I forgot about the construction and that there just aren't a lot of options. Any preferences? Maybe one of the G8 spots...?

The list has been updated. :) Thinking in front of the con center as a meetup place. Still not sure on time.

I know plenty of people that come from out of state, and a few that have come from other countries before. I'm coming just an hour and a half away, though. :)

I'm waiting for the international people to chime in. I know we had someone from England come in once. As well as someone from Canada that comes down every year.

My schedule got shifted around and I'll be in Kuja on Sunday... I don't know if I'll have time Saturday or not. :( We'll see.

I'm bringing Live For Venus and Forever Star, but I think Saturday will mean I'll be in Forever Star. :)

Suggestion: Later this year Project X-zone will be released and it is a essentially a big ole crossover between Capcom, Namco, and Sega. Is there any possibilty to allow those fighters/cosplayers so we can have people from tekken, tales of vesperia, virtua fighter, and everyones favorite Bruce Wil...Bruno Delinger. Anyways I thought this would be a pretty cool idea and make this a giant photo shoot

I feel like that could be its own gathering! I know Tekken and Tales tend to have their own gatherings, too. Capcom vs SNK as a cosplay gathering idea has been going on for over 10 years in some form, starting with KOF Fridays, and I kinda like keeping it that way. :)

I'm not 100% on my schedule but I should be able to bring out a Haruka Amami costume from The IDOLM@STER for this!

Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

Wow! I don't think I'll be joining this, but I'm very curious to see the gathering itself! I hope I can stop by and take photos. :)

I say that I'll have Kuja from IX every year. Hopefully this will be the year. *stares at fabric pile*

I would gladly pay extra to get my badge mailed. I waited about 3 1/2 hours for my pre-reg badge on Friday afternoon, nearly missing swap meet deadline as a seller. If I didn't have friends on staff to contact about my situation while I was in line, I would have been screwed.

But worse than that? Last year, my boyfriend had to wait a couple of hours for his badge when he arrived Saturday afternoon. I was upset, but hey, it was the afternoon on Saturday and registration was busy. This year, he got in line at 10:30 am and did not have his badge until AFTER 3 pm. He was ONLY getting a ONE DAY Saturday badge. That is nearly 5 hours of programming time he missed on his only day at the con because of a registration line. I felt like he should have been comped a full weekend badge at that point, or given a discount. Seriously.

If absolutely nothing else is changed to registration, please make a separate one day badge line. If this doesn't happen I'll just pay extra to get him a full weekend badge and pick it up for him as a group thing. It's just ridiculous how much he had to miss. Thank goodness the con is 24 hours and we could still do things like video rooms at 11 pm.

That said, there definitely needs to be more space dedicated to registration. 4 booths that could handle 8 guests at a time with pre-reg is not nearly enough. Maybe have special reg lines at each hotel? Mail out? Attach with hotel check-in? Something, please!

Those lines really put a damper on my weekend. But I still adore that the con is 24 hours, loved the new swap meet area (especially since my room was booked at the Fairmont), and was very happy to see the return of pocket schedules. As for that last one, I even have a smart phone now this year but still definitely preferred the paper booklet!
