Yeah I'll be getting there around 3 as well to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
I'm down to wait in line and wander around with anyone who feels like having an extra friend around.
It would be nice to find out where certain areas are since I have no clue at all, lol. :D

Hey everyone,
Well this might be a stupid question, but I thought I would ask it anyways so here it goes... :-[

Ok so I know that certain cosplay groups will be assembled at different areas and times at the convention for pictures, etc,...(I really want to get some good pictures of as many groups as I can! :) )
But my question is, do I have to look through the forums to find the areas and times of that particular group or does fanime maybe hand out a schedule with the meeting places and times?  ???

This is my first fanime so I'm not quite sure how everything works yet so if anyone could help me out that would be awesome!

When I think of "dance party"...cough (rave)...all I can think of is glow sticks! Lol  ;)

I don't live in the area so I got a hotel room and some roomies so I'll be around. :)

I'm interested in everything! I honestly don't know what to expect so I'm excited about all of it.
Although I am excited about the dealer's hall because there's an artist that is going who I really like so I can't wait to see what she has! ;D

Ok that sounds good, but I was thinking of parking at El Cerrito de Norte because I usually park there when I go to Berkeley.
Another question, which stop would I get off at if I take bart?? I have never taken it passed Berkeley.

Civic Center. Coming in from East Bay, it's the stop after Powell Street.

If you look up "civic center BART san francisco" in Google, you'll get a map of the area surrounding it. Personal suggestion for walking (others may have a better option, but this is what I remember) runs like this:

-Walk on Market towards Hyde Street (it's 8th Street south of Market, Hyde north of Market). You should be walking towards the Orpheum Theater.
-cross Hyde Street and go towards Grove Street.
-Follow Grove Street one block to Larkin
-The City Hall park will be visible across Larkin. People traditionally gather on the side of the park next to City Hall itself, so you'll just have to cross the street and go to the other side of the park.
