Willing to pay $70~

I'm not willing to give up mine, but I wanted to point out that just shipping (via EMS) for this was ~4000y. -.-;

I have something to do during the day, but I'll probably swing by later into the gathering just to chill.  Probably will be too lazy to make a T-shirt. XD;

Quote from: LordKefka on April 15, 2009, 08:17:53 AMps. I have no room to talk though since I bought a CM.. =D. It's the maximum shame, minus owning a Nanoha Figma xP

Hey, I have Figma Nanoha, Hayate, and a I have a preorder on Signum.  Might get Fate someday.  They aren't bad.  Figmas in general are pretty well made for "action figures."

Movic Teana is pretty acceptable, IMO.

I think the Alter A's Nanoha is better than the GSC one, but I guess that's just a difference in opinion. ^^;

Just got this recently. It a 1/7 Alter Hayate Yagami from Nanoha. This figure is huge. It took up about 3/4 of a level in my display case (length x width).  It comes with an interchangable head (A's and Striker) and Reinforce Zwei that connects to the right wing.

That's supposed to be unisoned and not, just FYI.

I have all the Alter Nanoha PVCs, even the A's ones mentioned earlier by LordKefka.  I don't see why anyone gets anything else besides maybe a GSC release here and there (I do admit to getting a Kotobukiya and Movic occasionally though).  They're just a step above in sculpting and build quality, IMO.  The upcoming Volks Fate looks OK I suppose, but those CMs Corp?  No thanks.  Recent notable exceptions to this are the GSC StrikerS Nanoha in uniform and 1/4 Nanoha.  The latter I cut it some slack cause it's 1/4. ^^;

What's the policy on BYOC this year?  Cause I sure as hell can't do anything on pad.  I figure this will be a global decision, so I ask now as opposed to waiting for individual tourney rules.

My seiyuu tiers:
S+: Minami Omi, Noto Mamiko
S: Itou Miki, Ochiai Yurika, Makino Yui,  Kadowaki Mai, Fuchizaki Yuriko, Goto Yuko, MAKO
A: Tamura Yukari, Ueda Kana, Mizuki Nana, Nakahara Mai, Sakamoto Maaya, Kuwashima Houko

It'd be kinda worthless to go below A, so I'll stop there.

Top of top has to be Minami Omi.  Long time favorite of mine.  IMO, quite possibly the cutest voice ever.  There's just something about her voice that's so compelling.  She's more of a 90's seiyuu, but in more recent years, she had some major exposure in Geass as Euphemia li Britannia.

Noto Mamiko.  I don't really need to say why I like her cause everyone likes her, probably for fairly similar reasons.  Something I respect about her is that she has a wider range than most people initially give her credit for.  Fumoffu hotsprings episode.  Shinji.  Amazing performance.

S tier are basically voices I love without need for any associations.  They are in no particular order.

A tier are voices that those that are really boosted by character associations.  They are, likewise, in no particular order.

Male seiyuu don't have such a structured ranking as my female list.  All I know is top is Midorikawa Hikaru.  Notables: Nakata George, Fukuyama Jun, Seki Tomokazu, and Sugita Tomokazu.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually plays some of this in Norcal.  & the only other people who play it with me are Checkerpatch and maybe Dakanya from the GG/Melty community. XD;

The execution barrier in UnlimitedCodes is unusually high.  And it doesn't help that you have to tk every other special.  Just keep grinding repetitions in that practice mode.

Good chance I can make it.  Consider this an appeal to attend. :3

Are you going to the Great Mall portion of the gathering, David?  If so, count me in, too.

Sure, why not? :3

I was there last year.

The Fairmont is the furthest hotel from the con center, but that isn't saying too much.  It's still within a 10 minute walk.  If you can deal with this, you'll probably enjoy your stay.  The room I was in was spacious.  I found the decor elegant and attractive.  The staff was responsive and courteous.  And the elevators didn't get as crowded as any of the nearer hotels.  All in all, probably the most pleasing hotel experience I've had @a Fanime hotel.

With that in mind, I greatly missed the convenience of the Marriott.  Normally during the con, I'd pop into and out of my room to drop off stuff and/or just rest.  Because of the extra distance, many times I found myself saying "screw it," carrying my stuff, and resting in the con center and/or a friend's room in the Marriott/St. Claire.  That's why this year, I'm back in the Marriott.

Quote from: koji on February 20, 2009, 09:11:27 PMThe ebay shop I got it from had a note up for people wanting to buy the whole set.

Thanks for the heads up, but if they're selling individual posters for @$50-60, I don't want to ask about the whole set.  Not only out of financial self-interest, but also out of principle.

I want the entire C75 TYPE-MOON stick poster set.  I won't settle for anything less than a full set!  Unfortunately, only bundles of all TYPE-MOON C75 stuff come up when I search for it. -.-  Not like I'd mind having the Concept book though.

IMO, when this series hits its stride in ep. 10+, it gets surprisingly good.  Much better than you'd expect from another Kugimiya Rie series.  What keeps it interesting is the characters.  Every one of them has more depth than first meets the eye.  They react in more "human" ways than you usually expect to see in your average series.

Barring any kind of scheduling conflict, I can make it to a Great Mall gathering. :3

To be more specific, a series of games.  Those girls are from various games in the Memories Off series.

I own the Shizuru myself. :3

Quote from: Jun-Watarase on January 17, 2009, 01:26:17 PMWelp. If not posters, there's a sh*t-ton of figures. \o/

That's pretty cool until you realize that most of them are mediocre Kotobukiya releases. -.-  But, I suppose, because they put out so many, there are still plenty worth buying.
