Registration / Fan Name Issue?
May 19, 2017, 05:28:20 PM
I got a confirmation email from the con about registration, and it told me that I needed to confirm that my fan name is correct before picking up my badge, and that I can change it in the online system. The fan name written in the email is horribly incorrect ("@@UDF1" is what they gave me, and I don't want to sound like some prisoner or android in a bad sci-fi film), but it is correct in the online system when I went to go change it.

Which should I trust, the online system, or the email I got? Should I email Reg to confirm? I don't want an incident like last year where they printed my real name twice instead of my fan name.

Hello everyone!

I'll be giving two cosplay help panels this year. The first is Bunnysuit Boot Camp, and the second is Sewing with Knits.

Bunnysuit Boot Camp:

QuoteWith the continued popularity of bunny girls in anime and popular culture, have you ever wondered how to make your own bunnysuit cosplay, but were befuddled by creating such a heavily structured garment? Join cosplayer fabrickind to learn the basics of patterning and sewing Playboy-inspired costumes and other corset-like but non-reducing garments.

This will be Friday, May 26th from 3 - 4 PM in Panels 3

Sewing with Knits:

QuoteKnit fabrics are comfortable, versatile, stretchy, and essential for form-fitting garments like bodysuits, but many sewists can find such stretch fabrics daunting. Come learn from cosplayer fabrickind special fabric choice, sewing, and patterning considerations when working with knit materials.

This will be Friday, May 26th from 6 - 7 PM in Panels 3

Hope to see some of you there! :]

I don't know if there would be interest in this, but last year there seemed to be a bit of a revival of Revolutionary Girl Utena, and I saw a handful of Yuri Kuma Arashi cosplayers around (no Mawaru Penguindrum though), and I know that people suggested to me that I should run an Utena gathering, but figured I would expand it to all his works.

Would there be any interest in an Ikuhara gathering? This would include the series already mentioned, and I suppose Sailor Moon since he directed the later seasons of that.

Shot order would probably depend on who shows up and how many show up, but I'd mostly like to see if there's even interest in a gathering like this or if the RGU revival last year was a fluke. I would imagine that we would do it by series, and then any logical groupings by series (all student council members, all Utenas and Anthys, anyone who turns into a car, Kanba/Shouma/Himari, all bears, etc.), but I'd like to see if anyone would event want a gathering like this before thinking too deeply about it.

Registration / Fan Names on Badges?
May 31, 2016, 08:35:52 AM
I initially registered in January, back when reg was being handled by CMR, and put down a fan name (my online handle) as I don't want people to know my real name. However, when I picked up my badge, it was printed with my first name in the spot where my fan name should go. I only realized it later (and this was when the line was super long so I didn't want to go back), so I kept it for the weekend, but I was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

I have somewhat of an online presence and an unusual first name, so for me, not having my name out there is primarily a safety concern. Thankfully, I mostly tend to keep my badge inside my bag rather than around my neck, but I don't like the idea of having my first name as the most visible name on my badge.

Was this a common issue with the reg? I have a feeling that my fan name was lost somehow during the switch to Experient.

Reading over the panelist information on the website again, to make sure I have everything in order for my panels come this weekend, I noticed that I'm required to check in at the Panelist Lounge 60-30 minutes prior to my panels. It says that the location of the lounge will be emailed to me 3-4 weeks before con.

I've looked at my emails and scoured the maps on the website, but cannot find any information on the location of the lounge. I want to make sure that I know where it is ahead of time so that I'm not wandering around the con asking staff members and info booth workers and hoping someone knows. Has anyone else been given this information? I'll also email the panels staff to see if I maybe missed an email or something.

EDIT: Got the email about it. A little close to con, but at least now I know. :]

Hello,

I am looking for a photographer for Fanimecon 2016 for Saturday morning of the convention to shoot Ultimecia from Final Fantasy VIII. You can see the costume here: http://fabrickind.tumblr.com/post/120068341588

If you are interested, we can discuss pricing, types of shots, and location. This would be an outdoor-only shoot due to the difficulty of fitting the costume indoors. Please let me know your availability and rates (if applicable), and link me to your profile. You can reply here or email me: fabrickind [at] gmail [dot] com

I know it's a bit close to con, so I hope everyone's schedules haven't already filled up. (I haven't had luck with any of the photographers I've contacted privately, so this is a bit of a last-ditch effort.)

Thank you

Hello everyone!

I'm here to advertise the two cosplay help panels I will be giving at this convention:

Fabric Choice for Cosplay will be held in Panel Room 4 on Friday, May 27th from 3:00 - 4:50PM. That's right – this panel has been expanded into a two hour panel! Expect it to be packed full of lots of great content.

QuoteProgramming guide blurb:
The right fabrics can make all the difference in cosplay. Learn the basics of textile types, their uses, and how to effectively choose materials.

Website blurb:
The right fabrics can make all the difference in a cosplay. Learn the basics of different textile types, their uses, how to work with them, and how to translate reference images into textiles to most effectively choose fabrics for a cosplay. No more feeling lost inside your local fabric store!

I will also be hosting Foundation Garments for Cosplay, in Panel Room 4 on Sunday, May 29th from 12:00 - 12:50 PM.

QuoteProgramming guide blurb:
This panel will discuss masculine and feminine undergarments for changing body shape, keeping body parts and underwear hidden, and for crossplay.

Website blurb:
Having the right foundation can vastly improve the look of a cosplay. This panel covers the often overlooked realm of what is worn underneath the costume. We will discuss both masculine and feminine undergarments for varying body types and across gender presentations (crossplay). Learn how the right foundation can help your cosplays lay smoother on your body, create an idealized "anime" figure, keep your privates private, and overall enhance your cosplay!

I hope to see you there! :]

Hello, Fanimegoers!

I'm seriously considering putting in some of my cosplay help-related panels for this year's Fanimecon. However, I want to know which panels attendees would like to see.

I have three panels already developed (that I've given at other cons) that I'd be willing to bring to this con -- Fabric Choice for Cosplay (2hr panel with the first half covering fabric types and the second half covering how to translate images into real life), Foundation Garments for Cosplay (1hr panel about specialty undergarments that can aid in cosplay), and Body Paint 101 (1hr panel about how to turn your skin from one color to another with an assumption of no prior experience or equipment, and how to both keep the paint on your skin and behave in paint).

I'd be willing to do up to two panels for this con. Which of these topics seem the most interesting and relevant to the congoers here? Are there any other topics (barring armor, props, heavy wig styling, or Masquerades, which are things that I either have next to no experience with or am decent at but not good enough to tell others how to do it) that people would want to see? I'm more than willing to develop new panels for this con.

One idea that I had is a very basic panel about how to get started on a cosplay -- how to break down the costume's elements, find patterns and fabric and wigs, how to budget time and money, etc. -- but I'm not sure if people would attend a panel like that, since it's very beginner-oriented.

Any suggestions are welcome. :]

Hello everyone!

I am trying to get together an RGU cosplay group for this upcoming Fanimecon. I know that I've had people express interest previously (and I'll try to tag everyone at the end of this post), but I'd like to move solidly into the planning phase. I have a few people who keep asking about which characters we have and who will be in the group, so if people can commit to characters, that would be fantastic.

This is open to any character from the TV series (not movie, we don't want to be crossing canons here!), though the group as it has been forming seems to be coalescing around the Student Council.

This group will likely take place Saturday afternoon of con. Friday afternoon is the backup time. It has to be an afternoon for scheduling reasons for one of our members, and I'd prefer it to not b Sunday in case of Masquerade conflicts.

If you are interested, please reblog reply to this post or send me a PM.There's no extra qualifications for being part of this group, though I'd prefer to not have duplicate characters. Just be able to have your outfit done on time.

List of characters under the cut. Not listing all of them, but just the ones most relevant to the group and that have had interest. If you want to be someone not listed, tell me and I'll add you.

Utena (duelist):  @rikudera
Utena (Rose Bride): @fursonas
Anthy: @arcaneseamstress

Juri: @fabrickind
Nanami: @jadebots
Touga 1: @spaceswordblaster
Touga 2: Reserved
Miki: @doppelganggirl
Saionji:
Ruka:

Shiori: @dormentaire (assuming you're still down for this)
Kozue:

Akio:

Any other characters as desired. Better if it's cohesive with the group, but it doesn't have to be, as long as its from the series.
(Unless someone else wants Juri, which seems unlikely, then I'll switch.)

(I'm also doing, separate from the group, Utena's movie school uniform, so any movie cosplayers, hmu. Where's my movie!Anthy?)

I don't see a thread for this elsewhere (and I seem to remember one in previous years?), so I'm making one! This is for cosplayers who are looking for photographers to do a shoot with. Please include: which character/series, links to reference images, links to WIP photos or worn photos, when you are wearing the costume, what you are looking for in a shoot, what your budget is, and any other relevant information.

Since I'm looking for a shoot, I'll start. :]

Hello all,

I am looking for a photographer for Saturday morning of the con to shoot my Ultimecia (Final Fantasy VIII) cosplay remake.

I am looking for someone who is willing to help me walk to another location and who is willing to give direction while shooting and help pose the parts of my costume I won't be able to reach (such as the very long train). I would prefer a free shoot, but if you charge, let me know the details and I'll decide if I would still like to work with you. I am hoping to convey the elegance and power of the character (she is an evil sorceress who is trying to destroy the world through time travel -- typical evil sorceress things ;]).

You can see a few WIP images here (though I've been lazy with taking them -- sorry!), and official references here.

If you are available and interested, please let me know by either replying to this thread or PMing me so we can work out the details. Thank you. :]

(And if you aren't available during Saturday morning but are still interested in working with me, let me know. I'm also hoping for either a Justin Bailey!Samus (Metroid) shoot or a Julia (Cowboy Bebop) shoot (Friday night), and a Condesce (Homestuck) shoot (Sunday afternoon), so if you are interested in those costumes instead, let me know and we can work something out.)

Hello everyone!

I'll be moving soon and I have quite a bit of handmade lolita clothing that I would like to get rid of before I do so, as I don't wear the fashion much anymore. Almost everything here is handmade, though there is some Bodyline, one AP replica (I bought it to cut it up and reuse the fabric for another project but couldn't bring myself to wear replica fabric), and one thrifted skirt. (All my actual brand, as well as a small handful of my favorite handmade dresses, stays safe with me. ;])

Most things are in the 20~30USD range, though a few things are a bit more, and a few a bit less, and prices are negotiable, so if it's within reason, I'm willing to haggle a little. These prices are already dirt cheap for what you are getting, though! Buyer will be responsible for shipping costs.

Most things are made to fit my body, which has a 32" bust and a 23" waist. Most things have at least some shirring in them and can probably fit up to a 34~35" bust and a 25~27" waist. I almost always did a 108" hem sweep on my gathered skirts (and the skirts of dresses), so these things are VERY puffy and have plenty of room for massive pettis. Any other sizes will be noted. I can take more exact measurements upon request. Any known damage will be noted, and I can take pictures upon request. Most bodices are lined, unless otherwise noted.

I also have a tumblr post with these items: http://fabrickind.tumblr.com/post/109708496078

Yellow sweet JSK: 35USD
One of my personal favorites! Very light and airy looking. has a shirred panel in the back. Has handmade puffs of tulle decorating the skirt and bodice. Perfect for spring.

Black sweetheart JSK: 20USD
Sweetheart neckline, shirred panel in back, gathered lace at neckline and hem, thin straps. Skirt is slightly short. Good for ero or for wearing an underskirt with, through it works with tights and/or short legs as well. Slight damage to the hem (just requires tacking some lace back on where the threads broke).

Dusty pink JSK: 25USD
So many ruffles! Has shirred panel in the back, though the waist size is controlled by the waist ties, which are set to about a 24~25" waist. Buttons down the front. Worth more than 25USD, but the halter straps and the waist ties need a bit of help (thicker interfacing and some lining), so the price is discounted.

Sheet music dress (far left): 15USD
Unshirred. Buttons down the back. Has facings instead of bodice lining. Very lightweight. Has bustle back and is a bit short, so it's meant to be worn with an underskirt.

Cherry sundress: 35USD
Another personal favorite. Shirred panel in the back and elastic waist. Eyelet lace detailing at neckline and hem. Gathered overbust detail. Neck cross ties. Perfect dress for summer picnics!

Dusty pink floral OP: 20USD
Gorgeous classic dress, but showing some wear around the bodice. Victorian Maiden replica. Has shirred panel in back and elastic controlling the neckline and arms.

High-waisted off-white striped skirt: 30USD
Unshirred. Fits about a 23~24" waist. Waist has a bit of plastic boning to keep it smooth. Stripes are sewn down ribbon. Very elegant skirt.

Sailor blouse: 15USD.
Unshirred, will fit around a 32" bust and a 24" waist.

Sailor skirt: 30USD
Unshirred, will fit a 25" waist. Very full double circle skirt. This thing has incredible hem sweep. (I'm willing to negotiate a discount if both sailor items are bought together)

Blue rose print tea-length skirt: 15USD
Hits below the knee. Has elastic panel in the back.

Black rose JSK: 20USD
Fully shirred bodice and straps. Has handmade ribbon rosettes along the hem. Has a 1/2" tear near the bottom of the skirt.

Black bustle skirt: 20USD
Fully elastic waist. Has ruffles in the back to wear under a bustle-back dress.

Off-white classic JSK: 35USD
Shirred panel in the back. Sweetheart neckline. Has lace chevron detail on front of bodice. Dress was tea-dyed.

Eiffel Tower JSK: 40USD
Fits a bit larger in the bust than the other dresses. Eiffel Tower print is hand-stenciled and contains a bit of white glitter.

White sweet blouse: 25USD
Unshirred. Fits up to a 31" bust. Large puff sleeves and pintucked bib detailing.

Red polka-dotted OP: 30USD
Shirred panel in the back. Fits a bit larger than the others.

Black classic OP: 15USD
Admittedly a bit janky. Unshirred, fits a bit small. Has a back zipper.

EDIT: found a couple more that I'd be willing to part with. Putting them higher in the post because they're handmade like everything else up here.

Light pink ribbon rose sundress: 40USD
Unshirred. Has bow-like cutout in the back. Can probably fit up to a 33" bust and a 26" waist. Has pockets!!!

Pink organza dress: 25USD
Fully cotton lined. Ridiculously puffy. Has tiny bows on the shoulder straps. Shirred back panel. Probably better suited to something like fairy kei than lolita, but I've never been a fairy kei person so don't take my word for that. Really ridicuously puffy. I had to repeat that. The organza is stiff, so it makes it flare out rather far.

Anchor skirt: 25USD
Not strictly lolita, but I'd rather see this go to a good home than just end up on a Goodwill rack. Fully elastic waist. (The waistband is black and difficult to see in this image.) Hand stenciled anchors. Fully cotton lined. Incredibly full -- it's a rectangle skirt with a 4 yard sweep, which is REALLY HUGE. Let me repeat, it's REALLY FULL AND PUFFY. Looks amazing with lots of buoyant pettis under it.

Pink lace JSK: 45USD
elegant dress with vertical lace striping, lace along the princess seams, and matching ribbon detailing at the neck. Shirred back panel and straps. Neck cross ties. Slightly heavier fabric than the rest of these. Good quality. Should sell for more than this.

Bodyline items.

Heart chocolate sweet biscuit skirt: 20USD
Elastic panel in back. Fits up to 25" waist. comes with waist ties and detachable bow.

Red rose JSK: 30USD
Super elegant classic style. Has shirred panel in back and attached waist ties. This was the original release of the dress, before they made the lace and the print all wonky, so it's very nice materials. Standard Bodyline M sizing.

White blouse with detachable sleeves: 20USD
NWT. Worn once to try it on. I think they sent me the wrong item, since it's not my style, but I had the swine flu when this arrived, so idk. Not the highest quality materials. Standard M sizing, and far too large for myself.

Thrifted white skirt: 10USD
It has lots of ruffles and lace. Fits up to a 25" waist.

Shoes are all 23.5 cm

Red Bodyline shoes: 20USD
Lightly worn. Comes with shoe clips. (I'll dig the other one out later-- if I can't find it, I'll knock $5 off the price.)

White Bodyline shoes: 10USD
Scuffed fairly heavily, hence the discounted price.

White An*tai*na Tea Party replicas: 20USD
Showing slight wear, but generally good condition

Some of these items have matching bows that I can give you if you ask. Also, I might still have some matching fabric for a few of them, so ask on that if you would like some, as well.

Contact me here or email me at fabrickind [at] gmail if you are interested, and we can work something out.

I hope these items can go to a good home! I've spent a lot of time on these over the years, and want to see them go somewhere they can be loved. :]

Hello Fanimestucks!

I have been kicking around an idea for an academic Homestuck panel for a while now, and might be able to pull it off for this con, if in a pared down form, as I am a busy grad student and con is right after finals.

Here is my tag on tumblr about the panel, though I'm imagining the format to be slightly different than originally imagined. (Read through all that, if you are interested.)

I'm thinking of having a panel of a few "experts" in a few topics related to Homestuck -- the comic's format itself (panels, time, etc.), possibly Homestuck and culture/HS and ideology, possibly the concept of authorship in relation to the comic (and how Hussie functions as an author, the relation to the idea of the death of the author, ways that the notion of HS having a singular author can be complicated), maybe a literary analysis of themes and motifs, etc. (these are all still in flux) -- and have each "expert" give a mini lecture on their particular subject. I would then open the floor to discussion of the comic and what the panel audience thinks about each of the topics.

This would not be an in-character ask panel, nor would be an informational "what is Homestuck?" panel. This would be structured similar to a college course and would have a scholarly focus.

If I can get this panel together by the convention, would there be interest in it? What types of topics would people be the most interested in hearing about and discussing? Is anyone interested in being on this panel? Would anybody even attend this type of panel (or stay until the end, if they just showed up for the Homestuck and were disappointed by the content)?

I would probably place a 16+ age advisory on this panel and try to have a good mix in terms of the level of discourse, anywhere from highschool upperclassmen to upper division undergraduate college level, so that people of varying levels can still engage with the topics, even if they cannot engage fully in every single one.

If anyone is interested in getting together with academically-minded people and discussing a lengthy webcomic at the con, please let mw know! :]

Hello everyone!

I have developed a couple of cosplay help panels and have given them at this past SacAnime Winter. One is titled How to Level Up Your Cosplay and the other is Fabric Choice for Cosplay.

I was wondering what the interest for these two panels would be for this upcoming Fanimecon, and if there are any other cosplay-related topics that people would like to see, or any other types of information that people are interested in. I want to try to fill in the gaps where other cosplay panels don't usually hit, which is why I haven't developed an intro to cosplay type panel or some other common panel types (that often, admittedly, aren't in my particular skillset -- wigs and posing are often covered, and not exactly my forte, for example).

The two panels I have given were quite popular at the con (and later online, as you can see by the notes on those two posts), and I hope that there is interest at this con for these same panels and/or other similar panels.

If anyone has any interest in these panels or ideas for different types of cosplay-related panels that you would like to see, please let me know. Are there any topics not covered that you would like to know more about? Would people like general panels (like the Level Up panel) or more specific and in-depth ones (like the Fabric Choice panel)?

Registration / Panelist Registration
November 10, 2014, 03:54:10 PM
Hello,

Any word on registration for people who want to be panelists? I know that Fanime has given badge discounts in the past for panelists, but I've never paneled at this con before and can't find any info on how it is going to work for this year. Do I register normally and get reimbursed later if my panel(s) get accepted, or do I register separately later? I seem to remember reading that panelists register separately and later in order to get the discount -- would panel applications and approvals be done in time for rejected panelists to still get the lowest price tier, and if not, is there a way to create a different type of reimbursement system for these people? I don't want to wait until the last minute to register, hoping I'll be doing panels, and then have my idea(s) rejected and have to pay a much higher price because of it, since that seems pretty unfair to potential panelists.

I'm asking this here because this is a registration question, not primarily a panels question. If I'm asking in the wrong place, please direct me to the people I should be asking.

Thanks :]

I realized that no one had posted up the thread for next year yet, and its somewhat traditional for me to post it, so here goes:

Pretty much the same rules as always!

- Post a variety of types of guests (though there is a MusicFest guests thead)
- Speaking of which, please post MusicFest guests actually in the MusicFest thread! Since it's a different department, that's the easiest way to get them to see your suggestions
- Post guests that Fanime realistically has a chance of bringing out (so no one too big or too expensive or too obscure or too dead or too broken up or that doesn't actually do appearances, etc.)
- Post guests that people will actually want to see
- You can post your ~dream guests~, but keep in mind that not everyone is suitable as a guest for Fanime (so note it in your post if it is less realistic and don't get into fights over whether a guest is reasonable or not -- civil discussion of the suitability of a guest, fine, "OMG U HAV 2 BRING OUT MALICE MIZER U SUXXORZ IF U HATE ON THEM  >:( >:( >:(" is not)
- You can (and are probably encouraged to) post types of guests as well as specific guests -- really want some Japanese VAs? Some character designers? Something else? Let the staff know! (Unless there ends up being a separate thread for guest types, in which case, I'll link it here.)

Have fun~~!

I feel like I should do something special for the 10th incarnation of this thread! We're up to 10 exclamation points in the title. It's getting too ridiculous at this point. ;]

Music Fest guest suggestions belong in this thread, not here, as they are separate departments. Thanks!

Six exclamation points already? :O That's a lot of years of this thread!

This is the thread to suggest guests for Fanimecon 2011. Keep in mind how likely it would be for Fanime to get these guests (you can put your crazy dream guests down, but keep in mind that we probably won't get Mana AND Clamp AND Utada Hikaru AND the entirety of Squeenix AND... or really, probably none of these..., so don't go all crazy about how OMG WE HAVE TO BRING OUT SHIGERU MIYAMOTO OR ELSE THE CON SUX!!!11111), different types of guests (anime/manga creators, voice actors, music guests, etc. etc.), who will be a reasonable choice (someone that only one person will go see... probably not the best choice), who is still alive/performing/whatever (so don't request Malice Mizer or Hide or Guitar Vader [*sniff*] or Amano Tsukiko [*double sniff*] or anyone else who is dead, retired, broken up, etc., though I still wish that Guitar Vader could come out...), etc. ...You can tell by my examples that I don't keep up with who is new and cool, haha.

Other than that, have fun coming up with suggestions! I'm sure that some of your dreams will come true~
#21
Err... the adding a new exclamation point every year thing is getting a bit ridiculous, isn't it?

Same as always. Guests you would like to see for next year. Please keep it realistic, but posting dream guests is okay (it might be better to say "I doubt it will ever happen, but my dream guest is..." rather than going "I WANT GACKT AND MANA AND AYUMI HAMASAKI AND UTADA AND THAT GUY WHO CREATED NARUTO AND AND AND.... OR ELSE I WON'T GO TO THE CON!!!!1111," since that's a bit annoying, as you can see).

I still say we open up more genres for MusicFest! JiLL-Decoy association did some anime music (Red Garden, Blue Dragon) and are totally awesome. Paris Match = <3, as well. haha, not that either of these guests would really draw out much of a crowd, but we really do need some jazz at MF one of these years. I can dream, right? ;P

(I'm not suggestiong Amano Tsukiko as I always do because she's retired now... unless we get her out here as a visual artist rather than a music artist, in which case I would be totally happy, but really... never going to happen.)

I am working on a cosplay of a military-styled outfit, including a helmet. (Amano Tsukiko - Ningyou PV, if anyone is curious) However, I know next to nothing of military uniform or helmets, so I have been having a hard time finding one suitable.

I'm mostly looking for shape, as colour can be changed and decorative false rivets can be added if needed, and a reasonable price. A cheap costume one is perfect, but most of the ones I have found stick out too far in the front, and I need one that is flat in the front.

Is there something more specific that I should be looking for, or should I give up and get one with more or a "brim" in front because I won't be able to find one like this for a reasonable price?

Thank you. :D

I have not read the weapons policies of the past years, due to neverhaving to worry about having a weapon, and I have not been able to find the policy online, so I am asking here.

I am possibly doing a cosplay that involves a rapier. I was wondering if a cheap plastic toy one would have to be peacebonded to the sheath/to me so it cannot be removed, or if plastic is allowed. It is rather important to the character (Irina Spalko, from the new Indiana Jones movie), and I am hoping that a plastic one would be allowed. If not, I can understand, but can I pleae be pointed in the direction of something that would be allowed?

Also, out of curiosity (since my sister is doing cosplay involving a whip, and a friend agreed to cosplay Indy if I do Irina), what is the policy on whips?

Thank you for your answers!

...Yes, we gain an exclamation point every year. :D

This is one of those annual threads for people to post their ideal guests. You can post "dream guests," but just keep in mind that we won't be getting anything too crazy ("I want Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Utada Hikaru for Musicfest, and then I want...").

My vote is still for Amano Tsukiko. I stand by my position that she is perfect for this convention, and I am sure that even if people hadn't heard her music before the con, they would end up loving her by the end.

...JiLL-Decoy association or Paris Match wouldn't be too bad, either... We could always use more jazz at Musicfest.

I also wouldn't be too sad if some lolita designers were brought out, but I don't know of any names or how realisitic that is.

For the Masquerade, I am planning on doing this cosplay from this video, and will have this doll. However, I am completely at a loss as to what I should do on stage. The past two years I have sung the song that I am cosplaying from, but this year that is not an option (if you watch the video, it is clear as to why). I want to actually do something, since walk-ons are strongly discouraged, and I want it to be fairly intresting and unique. One idea (the only idea...) that I have had is to have someone dress up as the doll and then somehow have them appear from behind a prop, as if the doll came to life, but I would need someone else willing the dress as the doll, and I don't want to rely on that. Nothing in the video really gives me any idea for anything else to do, though.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
