I'm not quite sure what to think yet.  On one hand, not a whole great animal was killed specifically for the meat, but on the other the starter cells had to come from somewhere.

Have you guys heard of the thing where you put starter cells in an incubator and grow meat cuts overnight?  It's the food of the future, or something.
Do you guys think that's still meat or ok for vegetarians to eat?

Being the good soy chick I am, I have tried the veggie bacon.  It's, bacon-y I think?  It's what I imagine bacon would taste like.  Like flesh and grease.  Crispy.  Uck.

Ah, I was wondering when this would come up.  

I think that the cosplay part is a good idea, but not glomp chess.  At least not together.  The problem with the glomp is that, inevitably, somebody caught up in the moment will take it from glomp to flying tackle chess.  Yes, that is indeed... bad.  Other than the injury risks, the glomping might do some damage to people's cosplays.

Other than that, I think it's a great idea!

Last night's was fun.  A good crowd of people turned up.
