This year our biggest group cosplay will be Team 8 from Naruto (time jump version). I'm gonna be Hinata, two of my friends will be Shino and Kiba. We can't convince anyone to be giant Akamaru, unfortunately, but we might be able to squeeze a Kurenai out of someone.  ;D  Other than that I'll be pairing with my friend for our Koutetsu Sangokushi cosplays - I'll be Koumei, she'll be either Shuuyu or Chou'un. Oh and for Kyou Kara Maou, I'll be Gwendal and she'll be Gunter.

(Yes, we do usually pair a lot.)

Last year we had a big random Bleach character group... something like Bankai Ichigo, Unohana, Kuukaku, Nanao, Shunsui, and Matsumoto. I love giant group cosplays, things always get so cracked out between us after lunch.

-_-

Cosplay a character THAT YOU LIKE because you like the character. Cosplaying just for the sake of cosplaying is a spit in the face of the designer of whoever you're cosplaying as.

I third it. In addition to what Jun said, I don't really get people who cosplay for the sake of cosplaying... that's a lot of effort to put into becoming a character you don't even know or understand. I really have to love a character to bother translating their ridiculous and often gravity-defying clothes into reality.

And I don't mean this offensively, but this:

I'm trying to get into cosplaying stuff, but I'm having issues finding an outfit to go with my body type. I have an issue finding a character that has the same...well endowments as me...I basically have  an hourglass figure with large boobs...can you guys help me find a character?

...makes it sound like you don't watch a lot of anime? Haha, because really, that's basically describing almost every anime chick ever drawn that's over the age of 12...

So I guess my advice would be to pick a series, read/watch it, and take your pick out of any girl you want to cosplay. Your options are almost endless.  :P

I can't say I'm surprised that it's been delayed, but that doesn't mean I'm not PISSED about it. And woeful. T_T *grabby hands*

You won't be putting your health and nutrition in danger by becoming a vegetarian if you do it correctly. Modified vegetarians have even less to worry about. For your specific diet, try these general guidelines:

1. Talk to a nutritionist or other health PROFESSIONAL; your doctor would be an excellent place to start, as they know your health better than anyone here can. They can also tell you which supplements you'll need to take, if any.
2. Learn about different types of fish and seafood - which kind you like, and which have specific nutrients.
3. Monitor your nutrient intake. The main issue for vegetarians is acquiring the nine essential amino acids (proteins that the body cannot produce on its own), or complete proteins, which you get in a single piece of meat. There are some plant sources of complete proteins, but other than those you can only get these essential amino acids through eating the right variety of foods.
4. Don't do this half-assed. You need to be educated and take it seriously. To do otherwise WILL lead you to health problems and deficiencies.
5. Don't settle for what you think vegetarians eat. There are tons of vegetarian versions of otherwise non-vegetarian foods, some of which have come a long way in tasting and behaving like the animal derivative. There are hundreds of thousands of good recipes out there, so take the time to look around and figure out what you like. The diets of Asia tend to have the most good vegetarian options for various cultural reasons, so that's a good place to start.
6. Be open to trying new foods. Even ones you didn't like before can be presented in a way that's more to your taste, and ones you've never heard of or tried before might be what you're looking for.
7. Stick to your guns. As much as there are militant vegans out there screaming at meat eaters and trying to get them to convert, there are friends and family of your own that, even with good intentions, will not take you seriously and try to steer you away from your dietary lifestyle. It can be very trying getting pressured from people you know, so think about how much you want this and be prepared to defend it.

Go to a bookstore and look through the cookbooks. You don't have to buy any, at least not at first, but they'll give you an idea of what food options are out there for you, and what might be worth trying.

The only non-anime cosplay violence I've seen was this:

Jack Sparrow battles Snakes On A Plane! FUCKING SWEET.

I'm exactly the same; in fact, I just got my calendar tonight. XP  Good anime calendars are sparse this year, it seems, so it's Japanese woodblocks. Click here and check the first one listed for the back view.

Last year...er, 2007 was/is an awesome Samurai Champloo calendar, I'm gonna miss it.

...There are way too many dog/cat/horse calendars in the world, IMO.

Now they think the guy that got killed hopped the viewing fence and dangled his leg over the wall to taunt the tiger.

There's a bright idea if I ever heard one. :|

I love 'em. Right now I am SO jealous of you seeing Valentine and Jareth, I would've loved to have seen those cosplays! For the past couple of years at Otakon there's been a Dread Pirate Roberts (who has an awesome costume, but really needs to learn how to pose) from The Princess Bride, and this year he had an R.O.U.S. with him. XD

Hell, FFVII AC isn't anime and it's based off a game, and yet it's become a con staple no matter where you go. I rank non-anime cosplays up there with obscure  anime cosplays - awesome to see pulled off, and great additions to the mix in general.

Money, money, and moar money. Which can come in the form of Borders gift cards if necessary.

My (soon to be former) boss once ate an entire sheet pan and a half of bacon that was supposed to be for canapes. He even dipped it, in handfuls, back into all the fat drippings at the bottom of the pans.

Yeah, we call him The Pig. In a few languages.

I definitely want some tattoos... I've had a vine design for my shoulders in mind for a couple of years, but I think the priority would be ones for my forearms to cover up the burn scars from work, damn things.

Burlingame, CA... but since no one ever knows where that is, I usually say San Francisco. =/  (For the record, it's about thirteen miles SOUTH of SF.)

Aw. Well, rock the uniform and hair and I'll still swoon.  ;D

Somebody please go as Souichirou so I can swoon. >.>
