better late then never i guess?
but i should be coming alone as Sebastian.
i've been wanting to go to this gathering for years, but things never seemed to go in my favor otl.
i look forward to seeing everyone this coming weekend ~ !

Still on the train back home to SoCal, but I just wanted to pop by and say thanks to the organizer for putting on this gathering! I had so, so so much fun, and it was so great to see all the hard work put into everyone's cosplays. Ya'll are some talented folks ~
I was the uncomfortable looking Inumuta with the glowing back... chord... thing? Otl.

I'm so happy there's a KLK gathering for this con.
I thought there would be one at ALA at the beginning of this year, but I guess it was still too early for it.
I'll be there as Inumuta, if I can figure out how to safely transport the lights on the train. x n x

As mentioned in the other thread, I will be lurking around as Renaissance Pitch.
Saturday would be nice for me, since I'm driving up Friday evening.
There's a gathering I'd like to go to on Sunday, but I'm not heavily invested in it.

I'll be floating around as Pitch this year.
If enough people were interested, then I wouldn't mind attending a meetup.

@Koinuchan: yep, most gatherings from something really popular are usually that big.
the hetalia gathering last year at fanime and ax was a lot bigger than ours by far, so yeah, things can get pretty sizable.

anyway for being such a huge gathering, the best part was that everyone i ran into (quite literally, since i was kind of blind) was extremely sweet and nice. so thanks to everyone for being super cool.
and also a huge thank you to the hosts and co-hosts of this gathering for keeping our huge family organized and under control, you guys rocked!

I hope it's alright to post here after the conclusion of all of our shenanigans,
But I think judging by the turnout that the panel was a pretty good success?
[ I also still can't find the facebook group, so I don't think I was ever added, or maybe my account just hates social interaction ]
I also wanted to thank Cat for organizing all of this and making sure things ran smoothly,
You were very awesome ~ (:

Checking in as well.
I really do apologize for not keeping up with the thread so much.
I've been hurriedly working on a friend's cosplay and organizing my plans.
( what is it about cons that, three days before the event, everything starts falling apart aofeinaw ).
While I'm thinking about it, how is everyone else doing on their cosplay progress?
Is everyone done, or doing the pre-con panic shuffle. |D;;

oh god, wow, i'm really sorry for not being more active here.
because speaking of finals, mine are pretty much crunching right now.
i did get the e-mail for introductions (butler grell is killing me, i can't.. afoeiafw).
i was wondering though, if i had to add my own introduction, should i just slip it in under the one that came to me?
sorry if this seems like a silly question. n__n;;

Because over the course of the panel I'm going to try to stab myself at least 2 times. I'm the suicidal failure of a butler...

And we'll all just sort of...stare at you for a moment, then continue on like nothing happened. xD;;
Either way, this could be really hilarious. If you can find a theater company or a similar supply store online/local, they might carry those daggers with the blade's that collapse in on themselves when you "stab" someone/yourself. n_n

As far as seating requests, I hope it's alright for me to sit by my Claude? I figured our "little master's" could be on either side of us, and I figured that would make sense, just to ward off any wandering Trancy fingers. >_>

Gracious me, you all most be terribly lacking in entertainment if you must expound at great length about what I choose to wear on my feet.
Not to say that it is was not quite amusing to watch your banter, but I simply must say, Ash, that you may only find my boots "filthy" and "disgusting" simply because such is the opinion of things that tend to find their way under my heel ~

Also, Mr. Faustus, I do hope that is the only personal correspondence of mine that you will be sharing with the general public, or I'm going to stop sending you...things.

[ Oh gawd I'm so sorry, Sebastian stop being a dick.
As far as the "swapping butlers" thing, or any similar ideas, maybe we can make use of notecard prompts? I think some talk shows do this, where they have the host ask the person on their show some pre-planned questions. If it's something like that, we could turn the butler swapping thing into a question, like "How would you feel/What would you do if you had to switch household's" or something along those lines. At least then if there's not a lot of Q & A, we could input our own stuff and call it something like... fan mail questions.. or something else silly. ]

There is nothing wrong with lusting after Mister Michaelis, however I have all ready put considerable effort and time into establishing a claim to him and as I am sure you know, we demons can be rather, territorial....please keep your counterpart in check if you could.

(I wouldn't say it's too much out of line given that we are more or less testing out how we would interact in character. At least I view it in such a manner as that. Especially since we haven't been able to establish a general time or date to converse in any other way. If it is a problem though I expect we will be notified.)

Mr. Faustus, I will ignore the very casual way in which you admit to certain things I will shed no light upon, if only to point out a glaring word of offense that has no place in your vocabulary alongside my name. You lay no "claim" to me, as if I were a piece of property, or as if you even had the status to extend your will in such a way over me. If you simply must say such things, I request you chose a word with greater weight of respect, otherwise I will have to persuade you to do so by other means ~

[ watch this turn into a text wall. i will olly the f*ck out if it turns into a text wall. we can't do this in two places at once okay. afoeinfawa ]

My dear crow, you say that as if it's actually troublesome for you, or an uncommon occurrence. If you really want to have my legs upon your person I can always sing the spider song to you, with live demonstration?

@CommandantCat Okay I am pleased to hear that accents aren't required XD and Sebastian and I may have a few harmless tricks up our sleeves here and there during the panel. I was curious though as this is a Q and A, and what with the truth or dare and all, are we keeping things as PG as possible? Given that it is this particular series and fandom.

Mr. Faustus, I do not now, nor do I ever, wish for you to sing or demonstrate to me the Spider Song. I am sure it is quite a lovely song, amongst your people, but I am not a spider and I am sure I will not fully appreciate the deep and meaningful cultural complexities of it all.
Why not extend your offer to Mr. Sutcliff? Given his... ... ... ... ... ...nature, I'm sure he would find it much more intriguing than I.

/I hope you know I lost braincells typing all of that. oafienafw
Anyway um, I think I agree that having a few pre-planned conversations/antics would be great, that way we're not floundering around.
We might also consider having a defined beginning and an ending, as if it were a presentation or a play?
This is assuming we had time to do this, but we might have someone announce "the cast" very briefly, which could be any one of the characters that might fit that, and then everyone would enter from whatever doorway is available, or some place similarly out of sight, before we take our seats.
I like the idea of ending it with a "bang," and fits with this particular series' tendency for silliness. It might also help if our ending was one of the pre-planned conversations as well, so we're not ending right in the middle of someone's question.
I'm not sure if those ideas are good or not but um, yeah. n_n;;

Edit: afoeinw it ate more of my post.
But I also like the addition of music. Background noise, even if it's a voiceless track and instrumentals, would be much nicer to have than super silence when someone isn't speaking or there's nothing going on.
I could possibly help with music, or at least something to play it on, as I'm hoping I can pack my iPod speakers.

I look away for a moment, and suddenly the thread's full of life ~ !

@koolcalcat1:
No need to be frightened, I assure you I am quite harmless ~
...God, no, really, I'm like a small animal. I'm probably more terrified of you than you are of me.

@Wolftale:
I think Beast would be a wonderful addition to the panel, although I wish we had more Circus Arc folks for you to bounce inspiration off of.
And I will be sure to stay away from your legs in public, as I will most likely have my hands full with 8 of them. Pesky spider...

As far as speaking like the characters, I hadn't even considered that until now. D| I'm pretty sure my "British accent" is probably laughable, and right now the most I can manage is sounding like the uppity Prince of Derpingham. I guess I picked a nice time to marathon Doctor Who. Time to just... study the crap out of that...

I like the idea of a tinychat/skype session just to give everyone a chance to be in character.
That would be really fun ~ n wn

I just noticed a horrible planning error...

I am putting Kuroshitsuji over Homestuck.

This is difficult, very difficult.

I think I'm in the same position...
I hope the two don't coincide somehow.
I don't think anyone wants a grey Sebastian, because PAX is impossible to get off in a timely fashion.
#17
I will be attending as Calmasis.
Nezumi may also be joining me as my seeing eye cat an Ancestor.

EDIT: Actually, it seems like the Kuroshitsuji gathering and the Homestuck gathering are going to be on the same day at pretty much the exact same time.
I know you probably had this time/date already set in stone, and it would be silly of me to hope for the gathering to be moved to Saturday, so I suppose I may not be attending this after all. x_x

If only SF was 5 hours away from me. A meet up sounds really nice. x_x
Also, I think I missed getting added to the list so:
SabienStrange will be going as Sebastian and Nezumi will be going as Claude
Since you said bold letters. n_n;

@little woman: afienaw Yeah, you're right. I just kind of... realized that after I posted it.
Geez, I'd forget to take my head with me if it wasn't attached to my body.

@Dany: Oh man, he sounds like the perfect Sebastian. I feel like I should take dapper pointers from him or something.
But it's always great when your S.O's get involved in similar projects, since it gives you two more stuff to bond about ~ <3
Aw, that sucks. ): I hope he can at least make it to the Kuro gathering, so he can at least mingle with fellow fans even if he can't make it to the panel.

And at least if you let one hobby take precedence over another, you won't get stressed out trying to balance them all evenly. = w=

@CommandantCat: Ffffuuuu- Dx
You know it also might be that I sent it through AOL. For some reason, anything I send to a gmail account from there just ~*magically evaporates*~ before making it to its destination. Idefkman.
I sent you another one through yahoo. If that doesn't work I will, uh, start getting creative. xD;;
