Hello! I'm sure you're still working on emails, I just want to make sure mine got to you. The name is Melissa Metcalf. No rush at all, my anxiety just keeps telling me it never properly sent to you lol. Thank you very much for helping everyone!
For some reason, I'm not seeing this e-mail, but I was able to locate the account and fix the issue I think you were having.  You should be good to continue.  If you're having further problems, e-mail me again.

Thank you so much! I guess my anxiety was correct this time, glad I mentioned it! I can continue the process now, thank you very much! So excited to get rid of all this stuff lol

Big Event Showcase / B&W Ball Heel Caps
April 21, 2018, 06:44:20 PM
Hello! I don't believe the dress code mentions this so I wanted to ask. Lately I've seen some caps being made for small diameter heels to keep them from sinking into grass, effectively making them thicker in diameter. Would these be acceptable on shoes who's heels previously did not meet the diameter requirement? Just trying to think of options! (So many of my shoes do not apply to the rules for this reason lol)

Hotel and Facilities / Hotel Shuttles!
March 16, 2018, 12:36:35 PM
Hello all! This is the first year I have not been able to secure a hotel within walking distance of the convention center, and I cannot recall if there is a shuttle that goes to various hotels or if it only goes to the Double Tree. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn and would love to not have to drive and park if possible. Does anyone know what the shuttle system was like last year? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Judging from previous years information, it seems they might not have any updates or info until the beginning of May even. Don't get too discouraged if that is the case this year. I'm also looking out for info about swap meet, but knowing Fanime it might take longer than expected. Hope it's in south hall again though, that was a nice big space last time for the vendors and patrons, lots of room to move and see stuff.

Panels and Workshops / Supreme Pro Wrestling
January 09, 2018, 08:14:10 PM
Hello all! I just came back from Sacanime up in Sacramento and found something oddly interesting that they had available as a panel. Supreme Pro Wrestling. It didn't really have to do with anime, cosplay, or anything, but it was highly enjoyable to watch! I know there's been some type of wrestling at Fanime before, so I'm not sure if this group has attended before, but I think they would be a great performance to have at Fanime. I'll add some links below to their official page and facebook page. If others are interested in seeing this, maybe they could come for a panel in San Jose!

This looks great already! Maybe a section about being wary of scams or something along those lines, what companies to avoid and how to protect yourself and your work? I'd love to attend this panel! Can't wait to see it~

Dealers Room / Re: Fanime 2017 Wishlists!
September 14, 2017, 11:38:07 PM
I'm not sure if they do conventions, but I would love to see Tasty Peach Studios or Sugar Bunny Shop in the dealer's hall! As well as other brands like that selling cute DIFFERENT plush, lanyards, and t-shirts. As much as I love the usual plush, it's nice to see variety in the style and subjects.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Food Trucks!
July 11, 2017, 10:28:45 AM
Well, I know there are some cheap options definitely, but there's also a lot of very expensive options downtown. Also the McDonald's is now gone, so one less cheap option unfortunately. And I do know some food trucks can be expensive, but I still think having them as an option might be a good idea! I know the cheap options aren't very far of a walk for most, but as a cosplayer, I would definitely love some more options very close to the convention center. I might just be a little lazy haha

Ideas and Suggestions / Food Trucks!
July 10, 2017, 11:10:21 PM
Not sure if this has been brought up before, and thus answered before, but I've been going to a few other cons out of the area and have noticed a prevalence of food trucks available at conventions. I was wondering if this could be something that could be introduced to Fanime? I know there isn't very much space for them to park, but perhaps it could be arranged? I feel like it would offer a lot of options, especially more affordable options, to con goers for food and the food trucks themselves would make a decent profit supposedly. I also understand the issues with lines/dangers due to being in such a downtown area, but I feel like it is something that can be accomplished? I think it would be a good improvement for future years of fanime if possible. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on this as well, either for or against it. Maybe now with Adobe partnering with Fanime, it could be done!

Hi there!! Very late question but what if we have a dress that is higher than the knee but we wear long pants underneath or opaque leggings? Is this alright or no? Please let me know! Thank you!

Might as well post my cosplay progress list too!

Mercy - Overwatch: Everything came in time! Just need a battery for my staff, needs a tiny little bugger. And gotta figure out how to make the pony tail a bit bigger on my wig.
Lusamine - Pokemon: All pieces acquired~ (would love to have a beast ball for her though but hurg didn't make one in time)
Zelda - Breath of the Wild: Good to go!
Tohru - Kobayashi-san no Maid Dragon: Wig and gloves are here, dress, headband and tights still on the way. Tail won't make it in time though TwT
Yami Yugi - Yugioh!: Everything is good exCEPT THE FUCKING WIG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHY DO I HAVE NO MOTIVATION TO WORK ON IT I'VE ONLY GOT THREE SPIKES GLUED
Sith Lord - Star Wars: Should be good now! Though I might not wear if it's too hot bluh

Now the big question is am I going to have to tie down something on the roof of my car cause...Mercy is in so many pieces...the wings and armor are huge....screams.

Hello! If everything comes in time, I might be able to make it as Tohru! Hope to see you all there!

Oh great! Thanks for that info, I haven't even thought to check the facebook pages recently. Imperial must have their hands full, no doubt, but I'm glad it's posted there! Thanks again~

Wonderful! Glad to hear it~ Hope they'll update the gatherings list soon. Thanks for giving us all the updates!

Wonderful! Thank you so much for stepping up to organize. I'm super happy there's an official gathering now, and that day and time sounds great. It won't even be very dark then knowing Cali, so that's perfect. My friend and I will attend as Yami Yugi and Yami Bakura! Can't wait to see everyone there!

Hello all! I understand FanimeCon is not counted in the lists of largest anime conventions in North America due to attendance being shared with Clockwork Alchemy. However I'm ever curious where we stand among other cons. I've seen an attendance number in 2014 of around 27,000 and with 2015 being even higher, though I'm curious if 2016 broke the 30,000 mark. (I may or may not be competing with my friend who goes to A-kon for who has the larger home con). If anyone has the numbers and is willing to share them, please do! Thank you so much~

(The wiki page for Fanime stopped updating attendance count in 2014 due to the Clockwork Alchemy problem)
