Tonight is the start of Deadliest Warrior Season 2, so I decided that we make our own matches, pitting different figher against each other and the next person decides the outcome.

I just came up with an idea: we do an anime version of the game show Password. Now, I'm not sure whether we could have the guests or cosplayers in character.

Things in the Universe / James Cameron's Avatar
January 01, 2010, 07:13:30 PM
James Cameron's Avatar is one of the best movies of 2009. I've seen it twice, and I saw it in 3D the 2nd time, and I just loved it. Go see it. It would be so cool to be on Pandora.

For those who may or may not remember, the Yeerks are the main antagonists of the popular sci-fi children's book series Animorphs. They're a parasitic race of alien slugs who enter into the ear of a human, alien, or creature and crawl through the ear canal, flattening their bodies and sinking between the cracks and crevices of the brain and melt into every available space and wrap their bodies around the brain and attach their own neurons to the neurons of the creature they infested and turning said creature into what is called a Controller. When one becomes a Controller, they have no control over their body and/or any of its actions, though the mind is still alive and aware of everything that's going on, but they have no control over their body, the Yeerk dominates the host-body, and can access their memories, their privacy, and their secrets and know everything about them, from tormenting them to being able to pass through others as those nothing is wrong. Now, this topic is to ask you which of your least favorite anime characters you would want infested by a Yeerk, because being infested by a Yeerk is far worse than death.

Hi, so my birthday is on 5/25, the last day of Fanime. Now, I know that some of you will be going home by then, but if those who are able to stay for the extra day, would you want to hang out with me and about convention and stuff?

I came up with this awesome idea for a Masquerade skit yesterday at work, we could do a parody of those Geico commercials that have celebrities help tell the stories of the customers. Now I would play myself, one person would be the announcer, and 1 other person would be cosplaying as an anime character and help tell my story. I haven't thought of what character to use so, feel free to give suggestions. Anyway, what do you think?

Forum Games / Combine an Anime with an American Cartoon
November 14, 2008, 04:51:25 PM
This is basically the same as the Combine a Video Game with an Anime topic but just with American cartoons.

As with combine a Video Game with an Anime, you post a video game and an anime to combine, and then the next poster has to give the result. That person gives the next combination, and so fourth.

Now let's start:

Bleach + The Real Ghostbusters

I need some help. I need the long black headband that Naruto wears in Part2/Shippuuden. Now, my plan is to purchase an already made headband, which I just did today, and harvest it for the metal plate and attach it to a custom made headband. My question is how do I remove the plate and attach it a new headband? Also, what material should I use to make the headband and pattern?

So, as topic says, is there's anyone living in the Central Coast area of California in the Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo counties? I was thinking we could meet and hang out together.

General Anime Chat / Ghostbusters Manga
August 06, 2008, 12:54:34 AM
This fall, who ya gonna call? Or in this case, read? GHOSTBUSTERS, of course! Find out what's been happening since the Ghostbusters last saved New York City as Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston and the rest of the gang make their first manga appearance this October from TokyoPop. The phrase "Everyone's a critic" takes on a whole new meaning when the crew is called in to help out a troubled Broadway production. Later, Ray learns that being a Ghostbuster isn't always the thrill-a-minute job he'd imagined it would be. And Egon has a touching interlude with a former instructor who still has a thing or two to learn about the afterlife. Then it all comes down to the ultimate showdown between our heroes and a team of peeved poltergeists. The Ghostbusters are about to be Ghost Busted!

Gaming / Ghostbusters: The Video Game
June 04, 2008, 09:23:05 PM
After more than 20 years, the Ghostbusters are back in an all-new video game that's also a continuation to the movies and is written by the original creators themselves. Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray reunite to reprise their roles as Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddmore and Peter Venkman. Supporting the ghost busting crew are others from the movies like Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz and William Atherton as Walter J. Peck. The game takes place 2 years after Ghostbusters 2 and Manhattain becomes newly overruned by ghosts and other supernatural creatures. You play as a newly hired recruit joining the original Ghostbusters team and not only are you equipped with the iconic Proton Pack and others equipment from the movies, you also test out a variety of new and unique weapons and gadgets as you get to hunt, fight and capture a wide range of uncanny phantasms and demons in an all-new, funny and frightening battle to save New York City from its latest paranormal plague.

The game also features some classic spooks from the movies like Slimer, that librarian ghost from the first movie, the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and new ghosts created just for the game.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game will be available this October for PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, DS, and PC.

General Anime Chat / Batman: Gotham Knight
April 11, 2008, 11:05:08 PM
Batman: Gotham Knight is a series of six-short animated interlocking films set in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, chronicling Batman's transition from novice crimefighter to Dark Knight. Studio 4°C, Production I.G, and Madhouse are doing the animation and Bruce Timm (of Batman: The Animated Series fame) will be directing. Basically, its The Animatrix, just with Batman instead. Each film will have its own unique visual style, complemented with sharp storytelling that depict the blurred lines of Batman as man, myth, and legend.

Here's the Sneak Peek:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLXWZ_SvTWk

One last thing, Christian Bale, the live-action actor, won't be doing the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Instead Kevin Conroy, who did the voice for Batman/Bruce Wayne from Batman: The Animated Series to Justive League Unlimited, will reprise the role for the animated DVD.
