Sooo i'm in line now! Me and 2 friends are 7th, 8th, and 9th in line. I'm doing my star driver cosplay today, just without the wig until tomorrow. Come say hi!!

downloaded the app and played with it. it's a really awesome app. I'm not sure if it's too late for the staff at fanime to jump in on this, but it would be really cool to get the schedule via this app. It has a lot of awesome features

LEDs are still preferable, sense they are reusable, brighter, cleaner, and the price is only slightly higher, cheaper considering being over a 20 to 1 battery life ratio, and being able to swap out batteries.

Depends on how one ends up with an LED glowstick.  ;D Mine are kind of custom built, and cost me more to make than all the chemical ones I've ever bought or helped to buy (which is saying a lot, because I've helped buy a ton of glowsticks for a variety of events.  :-* )

they do a show called "Hardcore Synergy" every year at anime central with popular j-core artists like NO+CHIN and m-project. this year they even had kors k (from beatmania iidx and other bemani titles) come out and perform. it's an amazing show. mydjsobad had a booth at fanime 2010 selling cds and such. i'm not sure if eddie said that he got a booth for mydjsobad this year, but i hope so!

No booth this year, but he's coming. MyDjSoBad isn't the actual production of this, they're more just a contact with the DJs. But just to let you know in advance, suggesting them is kind of pointless. A lot of staff are actually personal friends of Eddie's and talks have been thrown around here and there. It's nice to show support though, but staff knows of the existance and Eddie+Nick know of Fanime. So if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't.

i know how it all works. i know eddie personally myself, also, via bemani and music gaming. i still hope and pray some day eddie can bring out the dudes for a show in norcal sometime, so i figured i'd plug it to show there's still a /lot/ of interest in seeing Hardcore Synergy Fanime Edition

Me and a friend will definitely try to qualify. Sounds like fun~

Any Star Driver cosplayers out there?

I'll be doing a Takuto cosplay in school uniform. I'm trying my best to style the wig as best i can. This'll be my first cosplay ever, so we'll see how this goes.

I'm not sure how often i'll be actually wearing the wig, so you may see me walking around still in the school uniform, but no pink tie. I have long blond hair. Me and a friend plan on showing up on day 0 around 9 AM just for the hell of it, so come and say hi! We'll be marathon'ing Katanagatari and what's out of denpa onna so far on my ipad~

That's great! And my friend and her friends will be doing a Star Driver photo shoot at_ at around _ AM/PM. [I'll send you a PM when I find out b/c I haven't asked her about the time & place yet.]
What days will you be going as Takuto? The photo shoot will probably be on Saturday.

well, considering i dont have any other cosplays, i plan on cosplaying every day. the only thing i dont like about the cosplay is that it's a pain to get my hair into a net before putting the wig on because i've grown my hair out way too long. so doing the wig would require a good mirror or something. once you know what time you're doing the photoshoot let me know so i can be ready and in the right spot!

i /do/ live a 30-40 minute drive from the convention center, and i dont have a hotel, so if the plan is to do photos and such before 11, i would definitely need to know. haha. you can also get hold of me via the AIM or MSN provided in my profile

The other day i asked the same thing to some more seasoned fanime go-ers who do day 0 every year and they said usually show up around 2 or 3. i was planning on doing this until i decided to go at 9 am with a friend~

Last year was my first fanime, and i had a full weekend but ended up missing the first 2 days because i forgot i was going to be in utah until saturday morning, went saturday, got a no headlights ticket right after losing my license, and didnt go on sunday or monday.

so this year i decided that i would go to as much of the con as i can, especially after seeing pictures of a near empty arcade on day zero :o

i found a friend, and i'll be bringing him with me to day zero. I'm picking him up in sunnyvale at 8 AM, then we should be at the con center in line by 9 AM marathoning anime on his laptop and my ipad and such. I'll be a blond kid cosplaying takuto from star driver, but most likely no red wig on day 1. so look for someone in a school uniform from star driver, blond hair, and an ipad near the front (unless showing up at 9 am won't get us near the front haha) and come say hi :>

yeah, if there's any chance in hell that a store gets some copies, i will definitely pick one up. crossing my fingers...

best recommendation would definitely be home depot, i'll be picking up a pair of them there this year. a friend of mine was using home depot ones at fanime last year, showed up to a party 2 months ago, and they still worked fine. they're also nice and bright.

Otherwise on other days you can find me playing in the arcade. I'm pretty good at music games and djmax technika, so you may see me there, too.

I have plans to attend the bones gathering on sunday, but i also have church here at home in morgan hill on sunday from 9 am to noon, so i'll probably make it there in time, but knowing my luck sometimes, something may or may not come up.
