Sound good?

I randomly quote various cartoon/anime lines to myself......all......the......time.

To all anime, manga, cartoon, movie, and video game fans alike; as well as those very familiar with Death Note:

With all the countless series you may have experienced throughout the years, haven't you at some point had to suffer through the pain and anguish caused by some of the most sinister villains ever to tear at your heart and emotions?   Or drone through the antics and annoyance of the characters you JUST CAN'T STAND???

Well I'm willing to find out just which characters are the most hated and despised of all!  During Fanime weekend, be on the lookout for me.  For the most part, I'll be going around in 2 different cosplays: A Veteran Pokemon Trainer (look for a black trench coat and hat), and Moonlight Knight (Sailor Moon).  If you spot me in either costume, feel free to approach me and "Ask about my Death Note".  I'll happily whip out my Death Note book on the spot and allow you write down the name of a character you'd wish to have dealt with.

Ground rules:
-NO RL people, please.  This is purely for entertainment purposes.
-One character name per genre you choose to pick from: Anime, Manga, Cartoon, Movie, and Video Game.  Hey, 5 sounds like enough per person, doncha think?
-Unless you think of a simple or humorous end for them, names only.  I'd prefer no graphic details written.

See you all there!  This should be fun.  ;D

*BUMP*  So, anyone else possibly interested in this?  And if so, feel free to ask any questions or share any suggestions.

a couple of friends and I will be doing veteran trainers and possibly one will be a hiker cosplay.  I am also doing a Dreydan cosplay

It'd be awesome to see new Veteran Trainers.  Last two years, I thought I was the only one.  Which gen appearances will you try?

OKAY!  Time to update with further information!  So for those willing to give this flash mob a go, some guidelines on the movements:

-I'll most likely take the leading position myself, as in the front most spot.  So for those joining in, you can watch the link provided above in the first post and may practice the moves of the 4 supporters in the group.

-To perform the sequence correctly, while watching the video straight on, your moves will be the mirror opposite of theirs.  If that's too difficult, play the video against a mirror and follow the movements exactly.

-Some parts may seem difficult at first.  But like most dances, if you follow the beat you may catch on quickly.

-Although I'll be in the lead position, I do not plan to do exactly like the leader does the whole way through.  So don't be surprised if I don't fall flat onto the ground just to jump back up again.  I'm sure my costume will not agree with that.   ::)

Don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have in mind.  I've never tried something like this before, but am fully willing to do so anyway!  I hope others out there will as well.   8)

I shall be attempting a new cosplay this year, with a character not too often attempted:  Moonlight Knight!

Good to see at least some positive thinking for this new tactic.

We gotta give every new idea at least a first run, don't we?  Here's hoping this method turns out for the best, so it may help improve overall preparation anxiety.

I probably won't have as many plans as last year to do, but that won't stop me from having a good time with some ideas thrown in!

- Trying a new cosplay this year: Moonlight Knight
- Returning with my cosplay from the last 2 years: Veteran Pokemon Trainer
- Contributing to the Dealer's Hall Art Gallery if it returns again

And more of the usual:
- AMV Hell viewings (I have 2 clips in 7!)
- Arcade gaming
- Panel hopping
- Photo taking

Etc, etc, etc...

Some questions
- The convention, are the rows very long to buy a ticket? how long averagely do people wait?
- The convention, it is inside or outside?
- The convention, is there fun activities? (sadly most conventions in Japan have become 100% Market area)
- is it allowed to walk outside with cosplay and enter the convention with a  cosplay on? or must we dress up inside the convention?

- In the past, there have been some veeeeeeeery long waits to get a ticket upon arrival.  But in the past 2 conventions, they've GREATLY improved the process and cut the wait times down immensely.  I can't speak for everyone on average wait times.  Big groups of first arrivals may wait for about an hour or two if they arrive sometime before the ticket booths open. But for those who arrive after they open may not have to wait very long at all based on how they've looked the past 2 years.  So in a nutshell, may be a little wait, but not HUGE compared to years ago.

- The convention itself is mainly inside the convention center/halls and the neighboring hotels.  Yet plenty of people hangout outside the surrounding area as well.  Many photo shoots can be found outside as well.  But inside is where you'll find all the screening rooms, arcade hall, dealers, artists, panels, etc...

- There are PLENTY of fun activities!  Gaming tournaments, panels of almost any variety you can think of, screening rooms for all manners of entertainment, group photo sessions for all series, dance halls with live DJs, game shows, stage shows, etc...  There's literally ALWAYS something happening or going on for the full weekend.  Day or night.

- There are some rules with cosplay (regarding weapons and such), but no rule regarding wearing it outside or inside, upon arrival or after arrival.  You are free to dress up whenever and wherever.  From when you first get there to when you leave if you like.  Hundreds of people wear their outfits inside and outside all over the area.  Feel free to be a part of all that.

I hope these answers were helpful, and that you may consider coming to join us!

IF I can memorize the dance, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do this!

I hope you get more people.

Well, have fun learning!  Hint: watching them on screen, reverse your direction of movement compared to them to do it correctly.  OR face the screen to a mirror and copy it exactly as such.

Heck, even if you don't memorize it, I don't expect a flawless performance.  Just a fun act   ;D

My advice:  Just watch like a hawk everyday (at least once in the mornings before 9 or 10) for any possible new postings or info.  Odds are once the announcement is made, the reservations will open very shortly afterward.  Much like how the Con tickets themselves opened this time around.

Just keep a close watch.

Ok.  So I had this idea for last year's Con, but it didn't work out unfortunately.  So I figure, why not try again?  So here it goes!  ;D

To anyone interested, I'd like to possibly set up a random flash mob-esque gathering/performance to 'World Order' by World Order.  Yes, the double speak is intentional.  See linked vid for visual reference:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGdyaDnnrLM

So the big question is who would like to take part?  In all honesty, even if no one is interested, I still plan to perform it myself solo if I have to.   8)  I just figure it'd be a lot more fun and with the spirit of the convention to have a group going for it together.  So if anyone would like to join me in this, let your voice be heard!  It may still be 5 months until Fanime weekend, but it's never too early to plan things, y'know!
#58
Pre-show as in the 2 hours before the opening ceremonies?
#59
It's the final countdown, people!   ;D

And I also got my hands on a speaker myself.  We may very well end up with two.  Surround sound!   Anyway, looking forward to this weekend ahead.  Hope ya'll are too!

See all you willing participants this Friday at 1:15 PM under the art structure outside the main hall entrance.  'World Order' is ON!
