'ello! my friend is coming down from canada for fanime weekend and really wants to go but is confused about the passport thinger. Does it have to be issued in the US, or can it come from any country as long as its government issue? She's hella excited but is just worried about being turned away due to that. Any help or answers would be awesome! ^_^
A passport is great, as long as its gov't issued and valid then you may use it. There are a few other things, but if it is a passport than it meets the requirements.
I use my Canadian passport every year. If she's coming from outside of Quebec she can also use her driver's license or medicare card. The Quebec ones are French and can get confusing for the con staff, I learned that the hard way a few years ago XD
