I beg your pardon sir, but I'm the person who came up with the Horse chant.

It came about because of one year they were showing some hentai based upon Maids and at one point, it looked like there was going to be beastiality involving a dog, but it was cut out (or didn't happen, don't know which). Then they started showing a horse drawn carriage and I started screaming "HORSE!" whenever it came on screen.

And thus, a legend was born.

I was also the guy who sang "I fell into a burning ring of fire" during one particularly bad hentai.

Hell yes. Do they still show Maiden Diaries?

When you dry off make sure you're putting on something clean, and not underwear on their 4th run.

This is making me think of the pet auction at Califur this year...

General Convention Discussion / Re: Necomimi ears.
June 02, 2012, 09:08:20 PM
I've heard they're being sold currently at the Tech Museum across the street from the convention center. I haven't had a chance to verify this personally as I'm in irvine at califur. I'd imagine they're selling for around the same price as fanime and not double like eBay.

Just a warning: no one can take you seriously when you wear them; they're just too adorable.

^This. When I first put them on someone in our group would say something, look at me, and laugh. Hours of giggles and blushing were had.

I thought it was odd that you couldn't text, but you could film and take photos without flash (at least our rover said you could)? Usually the display at the back is brighter than a cell phone on low brightness.

^ The only thing worse than fanboy/girl funk is fan funk AND Axe. Axe is bad enough on its own, I don't want BO on top of that, thank you.

LMAO! This made my year.

How did I miss this? Poring+Roomba=major win.

I enjoy mine, and the friends of mine who also purchased them were pleased. My complaint is that it slides off to the left where the battery and power button sits, but maybe I have an odd head. It becomes a bit bleh on my ear after a while because of it. They're also a bit loud when you're in a quiet setting like an elevator or your room, but I don't plan on using them other than at conventions or Halloween.

On the plus side, the ears appear to be relatively easy to make with some foam and fur, so I will be making some different ones to fit on there. ;D While wearing the ears I noticed people smiling and looking at them in a curious manner. I even had a drunk guy come up to me in Safeway asking about them, which was a bit strange but whatever. Overall I like them, and don't regret buying them.

Hotel Name: The Fairmont (Day 0)

Would You Book Next Year: It's quite likely

Pros:
• They still have a telephone in the toilet portion of the bathroom
• Beds are soft.
• The little bench thing (not sure if this is supposed to be a bed) was actually really comfortable to sleep on when combined with the provided corner chair.
• Spacious Rooms.
• Freaking gold elevators (why not).
• Staff is super friendly.
• The bar/lounge downstairs has a live band in the evening.
• The Swap Meet was there (which was a pro for this year at least).
• Check in was quick and easy.
• The bathroom was very large.
• Vanity separate from the bathroom so you could still get ready while someone else is using it.
• Closer to restaurants and Safeway.

Cons:
• It's not connected to the convention center, small walk.

Special Notes to Share: Nerp.

Hotel Name: The Marriott (Remainder of con)

Would You Book Next Year: Most likely, though the others in my group want to stay at the Fairmont.

Pros:
• Connected to the convention center.
• Room was decent, space wise, after we moved around all the tables and chairs.

Cons:
• Elevator hell as always, and worse every year. For anyone who hasn't experienced this, look up a reference video of boarding a train in India.
• The water pressure in the shower was awful.

Special Notes to Share:

Just judging by the lack of pros on the Marriott side I think we're staying in the Fairmont next year. >_>

Registration / Re: Lines on Day 0

I wouldn't mind stuffing envelopes either, since I live only a few miles away.

I also thought you guys did a great job with registration lines despite the power outage. Whoever began the balloon volleyball is also a genius. It's amazing what a little distraction can do. I saw at least 20 frowns turn into smiles over a something so simple.

I will bring cash then!

Washington issues temporary ID's and Drivers Licenses with a photo, I don't know about other states though.

I am very much interested in the Sailor Jupiter figurine, I will be at con on day 0. Are you doing swap meet? Also, what payment method is preferred?

If you're worried about it at all, check to see if you have a FedEx Office nearby. You can go in and use their self service printers for like 10 or 11 cents per page (depending on the area) by plugging in your flash drive. I know in past years i've had it in PDF, not sure if they still do that though as my sister printed them off for us last year.

There were a few posts here on ideas too. :)

Oooh. That looks really convenient. O_O I don't need a cane (walking isn't the problem for me, it's standing still for a long time- my joints swell and become stiff) but that's a fantastic idea.

This thread is turning out to be pretty productive.  ;)

Indeed it is! So far it's the best as far as space saving goes. I'm glad you brought this up because I otherwise would have just suffered next year.

EXACTLY that. And if you get something like it, I hope it helps you (or anyone else) out! :)

Oh yay! Thankies, I appreciate that. :D

i like these:

but perhaps if you want something more comfy..you could always rent a wheelchair ;)

Do you have one of those? If so i'd like to know if they feel lumpy at all (they kind of appear lumpy to me)? I was considering a wheelchair until I realized it would only take up more space and I really don't need one like others do. xD

Oh! Like this?

I think i'll get this one instead because I can use it as a cane at the end of the day instead of walking around on my knees. Major win, thanks for sharing that! <3
