Can you still purchase full weekend badges online after May 1st?Yes, it will be very similar to how last year was. The registration system will likely be down for a few days starting on/near May 1st but will be back up in a few days.

The tape and line has to be there for any line that may form in the future. If they take it down and then the line starts blocking fire exits etc, now they have to worry about re-positioning people and establishing boundaries so that people don't jump the line.The real reason why we left it up instead of having a way to cut through the lines was so that the people are staggered. We ended up making a cut eventually, once we were convinced that we wouldn't have a huge rush on Saturday morning, Sunday morning, etc.
Additionally, by building in that maze they also helped to stagger the people who got to the door. For example, if there is a line of 10 people at the front of the maze and then 10 more people enter the "maze" and take about a minute to get to the front, now the line is no longer there. It gives registration time they need to process any residual line.
Seriously, if all people have to complain about was having to walk through an EMPTY line maze, I'd say Registration honestly has nothing to change.
I was planning on just going a half-weekend Sunday and Monday, but now I'm considering going Saturday as well. Would going Saturday, Sunday and Monday cost the same as a full-weekend badge? I'm guessing it would. I just wanna be sure before I make any last-minute decisions.If you purchased 3 single day memberships, it would actually cost more than a full weekend membership. We've set up the prices so that if you want to purchase two days, you might as well purchase Full Weekend memberships as it is cheaper than buying two single days.
Oh. Is it possible now to switch from CA pick up to Fanime instead if this is going to be an issue?Yes. You do not have to request it- essentially we ask this of everyone so that we can get a gauge of where to allocate our resources (such as in this instance). You may pick up at either location regardless of what you chose during registration but I do strongly suggest to pick up at FanimeCon if you are not attending CA at all.
