Good evening old schoolers!

Continuing on with an absolute classic, not much more can be said that has already been.  However, if you are only familiar with Dragon Ball Z or the more modern flavors of Dragon Ball, the early anime series is absolutely worth checking out.

Hi, my name is, Dani and I've been a cosplayer for 9 years and have been attending Fanimecon since 2015! I love BNHA and have always wanted to host a BNHA panel!
I've hosted panels in the past and would love to host a BNHA Panel next year. I hosted a Percy Jackson panel and a Voltron panel, the other being the most popular of the two. With the con being officially announced and hopefully being back in person, I'd love to be able to host a panel again!

Panel Info:

I'd love for the panel to be mostly Q&A with some games included and for the panel to be an hour and a half and hopefully on the second day of the con! I'd also love to include trivia and have prizes! I was thinking instead of everyone being in their school uniforms, we could all wear the P.E uniforms instead!

Characters needed:

I'm not entirely sure how many panelist I can have but, I would love to have as many people as possible!

Contact Info:
Insta: dani.c.cosplays(best way of contacting me)
Email: ( I don't check this as often, but I understand not everyone has an Instagram)
Discord: dani.c.cosplays#4320

Panelist requirements:

I won't have auditions but, I would love it if people can confirm 100% if they are attending the con by maybe the end of the summer so that I can spend time actually planning the panel, as I do have two cons between the end of the year and a few months before Fanime.

Google form for those interested in being in the panel:

Good late evening old schoolers!

I'm considering this the first post on the way back to normalcy as now we're within one full year of the next convention cycle.  Outside of everything else in the world, the past two years (one without Fanime and one with the virtual convention that just wrapped up) have felt very different without an in-person FanimeCon.  Things continue to look up in this corner of the world, making the return in 2022 look more and more like a certainty.  With that, I'm going to continue to post every week right up until FanimeCon 2022, and dare I say maybe even start to promote the gathering again in the next few weeks.

Going with the Sailorstars opening this week.  Although it's probably my least favorite season of Sailor Moon, I really do like the opening sequences and the opening song.

Why do I dislike Sailorstars so much?  Ah... for a number of reasons - namely retconning the anime ending of Sailor Moon S, having "hero" characters who are completely worthless, and lacking any kind of character arc outside of a couple really well written episodes centering on Haruka and Michiru.  A lot of this has to do with trying to curve the manga back into the anime plots, which by this time had gone off in completely different directions, resulting in this kind of strange third chronology that doesn't really adapt the manga nor follow the anime it's supposed to cap.  In my mind Sailorstars always got a free pass for all of that due to its erroneously perceived adult and serious nature that supposedly prevented it from being adapted into English for the longest time.  A lot of its notoriety in the United States stems from it being perceived as this mythical final season of Sailor Moon that you couldn't watch - at least in my opinion.

You can most likely direct questions regarding ADA or Accessibility to Attendee Relations.

New Mom Rooms
We have set aside a room for new mothers to make use of during the convention. Whether it be for some much-needed privacy or just to have some peace and quiet, this private space will be available in the Hilton San Jose.

The key is available at ConOps on the Hilton San Jose’s second floor. The room is open for use during ConOps hours.

Parent Lounge
Exhausted from venturing through the hustle and bustle of the convention? Not really sure about this whole FanimeCon thing your kids have dragged you to? Consider taking the load off at our pleasant Parent Lounge!

Located on the first floor of Hilton San Jose, this is a place for parents to kick back without worrying about accidentally walking through a photo shoot or tripping over someone’s prop. Relax and take a breather at the Parent Lounge before going out to explore the rest of FanimeCon!

I've noticed people that actually need their service animal know the laws and regulations, and often reach out to the event providers beforehand or when they arrive, and it is often the people that decide to bring their pet(s) on a whim that seem to make a huge stink about it when they are told to remove their animal from the premises.

If you are an attendee with a service animal I highly recommend that you reach out to Policy Relations or Attendee Relations so that they may be able to provide you with the best information and/or provide for you disability services. Their contacts are available on the FanimeCon website.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. ADA regulations have a separate provision about miniature horses that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is allowed to go. A public accommodation may ask an individual with a disability to remove a service animal from the premises if the animal is out of control and the animal's handler does not take effective action to control it; or the animal is not housebroken.

Pets and emotional support animals do not meet the definition of "service animal," and therefore, are not allowed into the convention center.

However, if you are bringing a pet or ESA, you can have them accompany you outside of the convention center, such as the plaza, sidewalk, or over at Cesar Chavez Park, granted that you are following San Jose's leash laws and your animal is under control.
