My time slot is not till 10 am 1/18/18 - I see that most of the main hotels are gone already. Are they going to release more rooms for each time slot or am I pretty much screwed? I really wanted Fairmont room....:-(

I think is completely rude from the masquerade coordinator to not even post if there are technical difficulties.
People has jobs, conventions, cosplay to work on and need to sleep.

I think at this point they need to give up, let us know that they will change registration date and let us go sleep already.

Would REALLY help if staff would at least post here and explain to us how much longer we have to wait?

I am also bummed that this concert will be on Friday Night....I signed up for Swap Meet and was super happy to get a spot and I packed stuff I wanted to get rid of a year ago! Now I am questioning if I should even bother with Swap Meet at all....Can we get approximate time when the concert will start?

I think best solution would be: Official time limit for skits 2:30  - and anything over that should be pre-approved by masq coordinator. Its up to coordinator to decide if they want to let the group to go over the time limit - if its a group with the history of good skits - sure, why not? If its someone new for the masq  - ask them to provide script for their skit or explain why they need extra time.

The good:
Bar and Grill downstairs that served affordable food all weekend long AND Starbucks coffee with NO LINE!!! I felt sorry for all the people in line at Starbucks after getting my cup of coffee in like 2 seconds. XD.

Lots of space in the room
Comfy beds
Gorgeous lobby

Could be better:
Bathroom door was bigger then the bathroom itself, and it was too close to hotel room door and you had to close one to open the other and vise versa, and space was so small between them I surprised nobody got their hands stuck or something else, lol.
Bathroom sink could be bigger, between 4 cosplay girls in our room, our make up stuff did not fit, and only one person could do their make up at the time.
No mirrors in the room other then bathroom and closet door, where lighting was terrible.
No mirrors in the halls by the elevators. I sure could use one! Or add one to elevators. Even without being a cosplayer, I am sure most girls would appreciate one last glance in the mirror before leaving the hotel.

The bad:
4 am Fire Drill. Not sure whos fault it was, but after performing in masq the night before and being DEAD tired, waking up at 4 am and go outside was NOT FUN.

What makes me laugh is that previous year people were complaning that masq was worse then the year before and year before that it was not...anyways, its same crap every year, Fanime audience is very hard to please and it seems like telling people to get on stage and make a difference does not work at all, they come back year after year and complain about skits. *sigh*
I personally thought masq was AMAZING this year, come on, Pokemon guys got standing ovation and show started on time!!!
I agree on karaoke winner not being dressed for the occasion, but its her fault, not masq staff, you can't tell people what to wear, lol.

Awww, Macross was always the most epic anime evar. I am not sure if I will cosplay anything from old Macross, but I do have 3 Sheryl Nome outfits from Macross Frontier and my Chibi has 3 Ranka Lee outfits, haha, we would love to join this gathering at Fanime!!!

Will there be a problem getting our props judged during craftsmanship judging???

Uh, oh, Weapon Policy looks exeptionally harsh this year. I went ahead and put our props in the special needs section in our registration. We are group Nekoyaki and one of our members has little plastic guns glued to the insides of her cape. They are completely non-functional, but might look like real tiny guns.  Hope it won't cause any problems!

Is masq on Sunday this year for sure?  An Cafe lists their concert at Fanime for Sunday....I hope those two events won't ran into each other, and I'd also like to know in advance if Masq is moved to another day, like Saturday. Man, it's going to be a pain if its on Saturday, Im pretty sure half of the people won't finish their costumes on time, if crafts judging will be on friday only.
